I AM the Football Star

Ajax fans expressed their dissatisfaction at the home stadium.

”Push up! Push up! Play with some guts! What are we doing!”

Vent began mobilizing the whole team after conceding the goal, he was furious, Ajax shouldn’t be played like this.

Even if the counterattack speed couldn’t be increased, why should Ajax counterattack?

Can’t they actively attack?

They held more ball possession in the league.

Why suddenly become timid facing a Serie B team?

Football can be quite mysterious at times.

Although most teams belong to one of the four major styles: ball control + positional defense, ball control + unorganized defense, counterattack + positional defense, counterattack + unorganized defense.

Representatives are Wenger, Guardiola, Mourinho, and Klopp.

But sometimes how to play on the field is not decided by your style and the tactics you usually practice.

For example, when two possession teams meet, who can control the ball better?

If someone holds more possession and dominance, the other must play defensively and counterattack, even if they originally didn’t want to play like this, but circumstances are stronger than people.

Often at the beginning, during the probing phase, the momentum and field situation will determine.

How to play naturally comes to the players’ minds.

It’s not that Ajax didn’t want to engage in a head-to-head with San Remo, but from the first match, it was tremendously difficult to play against San Remo.

San Remo had two mad dogs running everywhere pressuring, making ball control very hard.

Lu Yang and Kaint are just like two Perpetual Motion Machines, sparing no stamina.

Ball control being interrupted or forced to clear frequently, Ajax naturally didn’t want to control the ball anymore because they truly couldn’t hold it.

The whole match at fifty-one minutes, less than three minutes after Ajax lost the ball.

Morici, Sogel, and Lu Yang made a series of position swaps.

Morici advanced forward.

Lu Yang delivered a straight pass, Morici just needed to receive the ball to have a nearly one-on-one.

Bam!

Vent, rushing back in defense, didn’t hesitate and made a sliding tackle.

Morici flew high as if hit by a car crash, falling instantly to the ground.

Beep!

The whistle blew.

The main referee pointed to the penalty spot!

Morici just entered the penalty box area.

This is a penalty!

Meanwhile, the main referee showed Vent a yellow card.

But this was his second yellow card of the match.

Two yellows turned into a red, Vent was sent off!

The Ajax crowd fell into dead silence.

Raging helplessly on the field, Vent couldn’t do anything.

He handed the captain armband to his teammate and walked despairingly towards the player tunnel.

Boo! Boo! Boo!

Fans started to jeer sporadically.

Because Vent didn’t bring them victory.

Moreover, Vent’s weaknesses were brutally exposed in this series.

On the field, Morici still hadn’t gotten up.

Lu Yang’s heart sank.

”What’s wrong?” Lu Yang squatted beside Morici.

”Ankle hurts a bit, probably can’t continue.” Morici grimaced in pain, ”Lu, am I going to be a fragile person?”

Lu Yang patted Morici’s head: ”Don’t talk nonsense, I’d rather your leg broke than for you to become a fragile person.”

Morici didn’t know whether to say thank you or thank your family for a moment.

But Lu Yang was not unreasonable.

Broken legs are indeed the number one enemy of professional players, but in reality, being fragile is often a player’s career’s biggest downfall.

Players with broken legs can be reborn.

But fragile players truly have no future.

Soon, the team doctor came on.

He checked and thought Morici’s ankle temporarily couldn’t participate in the match, but the injury wasn’t serious, a minor injury, possibly back in the field after a week, leaving purely for protective measures.

San Remo immediately made a substitution, Versachi replaced Morici.

Sotu looked grave.

At the season’s end, every match is crucial; key players can’t afford serious injuries.

Bam!

Lu Yang at the penalty spot executed perfectly, striking a high-difficulty upper right corner.

The goalkeeper had chances to save both left and right sides and even spoon penalties.

But the upper third of the goal, as long as someone dared to aim here, whether left or right, the goalkeeper was powerless.

Of course, this method risks shooting the penalty way off, recently Mbappe faced this awkward situation.

However, Lu Yang scored.

Two to zero!

San Remo scored another away goal.

Total score over two legs, three to zero.

Ajax was completely killed.

It’s impossible for them to score four consecutive goals without conceding in the next match.

They don’t have such capability, especially now they only have ten men!

In the remaining match, Ajax was even more passive.

They wanted to try to score, but Versachi seized the opportunity, receiving Kaint’s intercept, delivered a long pass breaking through Ajax’s non-existent defense.

Bai Zhami scored as a result.

Score, three to zero!

In the seventy-third minute, Versachi and Sogel, Canyes made consecutive plays.

Defensive midfielder Kaint directly pushed forward, going all the way, receiving Versachi’s brilliant pass in the box, and scored easily.

Four to zero!

Ajax completely collapsed.

Score ended at four to zero.

When the main referee blew the whistle for full-time, San Remo players and fans began celebrating passionately.

Total score over two legs, five to zero!

San Remo played a dominant match by chance.
