I AM the Football Star

The rest of the teammates quickly left, giving the two of them space.

”Sorry, Lu, I...” After everyone left, Sogel started, ”I... might be going back to San Siro next season. Actually, I really like San Remo, I love everything here, but... in my bones, on my body, I have an indelible mark that belongs to AC Milan, I...”

Lu Yang shook his head: ”No need to apologize, Sogel! That’s AC Milan! Buddy, congratulations! You’ve proven yourself, you’ve gotten the status you deserve, that’s a good thing!”

Sogel was taken aback, then his eyes reddened: ”Lu, I... I really didn’t expect you to say that. I was already prepared to be reprimanded by you, I...”

Lu Yang smiled and gave Sogel a punch: ”Don’t act self-effacing after getting what you want, you bastard! Alright, actually, the reason I found you today is indeed related to your whereabouts.”

”You will return to San Siro and have a wonderful professional career at AC Milan. But that’s all next season, and this season, you are an important member of San Remo.”

”Right now, we are one unit!”

”When you leave, the brothers will surely give you a grand farewell, so you can head to San Siro with a flourish! But you also have to give San Remo a dignity, such mutual respect better reflects the value of both sides.”

”Moreover, we are now in a critical stage, with the slightest mistake we could collapse completely. At times like this, you must show a firm stance and professional conduct.”

Sogel looked at Lu Yang, deep in thought, he seemed to understand what Lu Yang meant.

Lu Yang patted Sogel’s shoulder seriously and said: ”To be honest, Sogel. I hope AC Milan fans welcome you because of your strength, not because of the color of your former jersey!”

”Look at Real Madrid fans, they were arch-enemies with Izalelt, but Izalelt made them betray at their home ground. This isn’t because Izalelt had a dying wish to join Real Madrid, but because Izalelt is strong enough!”

”We still have a final period to let AC Milan fans realize your strength! So, don’t accept AC Milan fans’ recognition too early, because this is not yet your all.”

”You can tell them that Sogel is much better than they thought!”

There was a light in Sogel’s eyes, in his eyes, the banner originally reading ”Welcome AC Milan’s Crown Prince Home” changed to ”Welcome San Remo’s Miracle Super Forward Sogel to Milan City”!

This seems the same.

But it’s actually not the same.

That afternoon, after the training session, Sogel no longer avoided the cameras.

He proactively accepted an interview expressing: ”Thank you, fans, for your support. I once was in AC Milan’s youth training, my dream is to play for AC Milan’s first team and win honor for AC Milan.”

”But now, I’m wearing a San Remo jersey, fighting alongside San Remo teammates. Before the end of this season, I hope everyone can also respect the crest on my jersey now.”

”No matter who you are, if you support me, then please also cheer for San Remo! I don’t know if I’ll still be on San Remo’s field next season, so I hope to leave something for San Remo this season.”

”Thank you to San Remo fans for their unwavering support for me, and thank you to AC Milan fans for their understanding.”

Sogel’s interview was swiftly reported by major media outlets.

He did not deny that he would return to AC Milan next season.

But he hopes that this season, everyone only talks about San Remo.

This is a highly professional display, which greatly earned him extra points in the eyes of various professionals.

In a football club, anyone can become a former and a next member at any time.

If players always pit the past and current teams against each other, the club will be very unhappy.

This would lower the club’s value and reputation.

And a player like Sogel, clearly wouldn’t cause such a backstab to the club.

Everyone appreciates this point.

Moreover, Sogel’s generous statement also calmed down AC Milan and San Remo fans, who could have further conflicts.

Otherwise, if these two sides clashed, it wouldn’t be good for either club.

Finally, Sogel’s statement expressed his ambition.

He is no longer a player who feels proud just because he came from ”AC Milan’s youth training.”

Now he, intends to return to San Siro with more titles.

He is already becoming AC Milan’s pride and hopes to return to AC Milan with even more glory!

After the return saga of Sogel, the atmosphere within the San Remo team was still quite tense.

The main issue being the second leg against Werder Bremen.

In the previous match, San Remo used a relatively cautious 4-3-3 formation.

But the result was not good.

So, should the next match be adjusted, or continue the previous arrangements, and trust the players’ performances?

To solve this problem, Sotu invited the true Tactical Master Maniero, along with Lu Yang and Morici, for an internal tactical seminar.

The purpose is to find Werder Bremen’s weaknesses to target.

But the result was not ideal.

As mentioned earlier, Werder Bremen has already reached the strongest state they theoretically can achieve.

Although this team’s personnel configuration is not optimal, these players have been playing together for a long time. Their understanding of tactics is highly uniform, so their flaws are quite small.
