I AM the Football Star

At twenty, his defensive talent caught the eyes of a top team in Ligue 2.

At twenty-two, he was promoted with his team to Ligue 1 and was bought by the Ligue 1 powerhouse Ness!

At twenty-three, after more than a year at Ness, Kaint was sold and thrown to San Remo.

Obviously, he didn’t have the ability to stand his ground in a top league.

If he couldn’t make it in Ligue 1, there’s no need to mention the other four top leagues.

Ligue 1 is acknowledged as the weakest in the Five Major Leagues!

Some even prefer to say the Four Major Leagues, directly excluding Ligue 1 from the top leagues.

And at San Remo, Kaint wasn’t even a regular starter.

If it weren’t for Latu Yidi’s long-term absence due to injury, Kaint would definitely be a substitute, or even a second substitute.

However…

The March Player of the Month award in the Italian Second Division was incredibly given to this obscure figure!

If Kaint didn’t smile, you wouldn’t even notice this player on the field.

This is an exaggerated expression, not only describing his dark complexion but also his obscurity at San Remo.

”Why Him?”

”Who is he? How did he manage to outshine players like Lu Yang, Morici, and Kolber to win the March award?”

”A cast-off from Ligue 1 wins an award in the Italian Second Division?”

”Italy has declined so severely that any ordinary player can win top honors in Italy!”

”Kaint? Sorry, I don’t think he has the strength to convince the masses!”

”The Player of the Month selection is a joke, Serie A firmly resists, we cannot imagine this little dark pill winning Serie A Player of the Month next season!”

”Scandal! There must be a huge scandal behind Kaint’s award!”

Many media outlets began to question the fairness of the Player of the Month evaluations.

If fairness cannot be maintained, don’t even mention the subsequent star-making process, the value perception of players within the league may be affected, challenging the fairness of the league tremendously.

Look at the NBA, once their internal credit system collapsed, it became extremely difficult to regain the fans, no matter how much they did.

Many professionals believe that the ”Player of the Month” award has little benefit for the league, but if handled poorly, the costs are too high, and they started to become skeptical of this award.

But soon, the Italian Football Association released Kaint’s personal statistics for March.

Moreover, it was personally read in front of the camera by Martivini: ”The Player of the Month award has now been awarded for the fifth time, and we still have areas that need improvement in this process.”

”For example, player performance and team performance should be expressed in more precise and clear data, allowing more people to clearly understand what this player did in the past month.”

”San Remo had two wins and two draws in March, not the most impressive record, but… they are under immense pressure, and they are also setting a new record in the Italian Second Division, which is… a thirty-match unbeaten streak!”

”I don’t know how long San Remo can maintain their unbeaten run in the league, but every small step they take forward is a big step for the Italian Second Division!”

”As for personal achievements, Kaint had two assists in March, received two yellow cards, and no red cards.”

”He averaged 6.8 tackles per game! 5.5 interceptions per game! Both statistics lead the entire league, surpassing the second place by 4.1 and 3.2 respectively!”

”He averaged 1.9 clearances per game! Yes, you heard right, Kaint is not a tall player, but his clearance stats are not inferior to other defensive midfielders!”

”He wins 7.1 ground duels per game, with a success rate of 70%, ranking first in both success rate and average number!”

”At the same time, his average passing success rate of 82% is significantly higher than the 56% he had in his last month in Ligue 1.”

”He is an exceptional defensive player, achieving incredible improvements while giving his best performance. This is the change that Italian football brought to him. But he also brought some change to Italian football.”

”Considering that the previous four monthly awards went to attacking players, we believe Kaint is very suitable to be the best player of March! We should not ignore the contribution of defensive players to the team!”

”Serie A might not be the best offensive league, but Italian defense once changed the whole football world! If even Italy can’t see the contribution of defensive players, who in world football can?”

”This month’s award is not only given to Kaint by us, but also to all defensive players playing in Italy, because of you, Italian football can have today!”
