I AM the Football Star

He has the potential to rival world-class forwards like Gutierrez in the future!

Lu Yang is not inferior to Talista, but Lu Yang might encounter similar issues as Talista.

Lu Yang’s playing style doesn’t make him stand out.

No matter how many fantastic goals you score, as long as your dribbling falters or your touches are not exquisite, some fans will say you can’t play football.

This has a significant impact before a player earns enough honors.

This kind of ”reputation” seriously affects the judgment of clubs and fans on a player’s actual impact.

At least Morici believes Lu Yang should transfer next summer at the peak when the team gets promoted.

This is Lu Yang’s best opportunity to step into a major club!

Otherwise... players like Lu Yang, who lack a stable style and are willing to defend and run tirelessly for the team, are hard to be appreciated by major clubs and their fans.

”This is the benefit of Inter’s salary chaos starting ahead of time for us.” Lu Yang patted Morici on the shoulder, indicating him to get ready to leave the locker room for the game, ”Juventus, Inter, AC Milan, their salaries will undergo significant changes next season, making Serie A extremely unstable next season!”

”San Remo’s foundation is limited, I don’t know how far we can take the San Remo miracle.”

”But if possible, I hope we can leave our name in Serie A!”

In an instant, Morici’s hair stood on end!

Serie A!

What Lu Yang wants is actually the Serie A Bertoni Trophy!

The Serie A champion!

The ultimate miracle for a newly-promoted team!

The only four-level leap in European football!

He’s not setting a trap for Inter Milan!

He’s strategizing against the whole Serie A!

In the most restless year of Serie A, Lu Yang wants to lead San Remo to change the black and white sky of Serie A to blue and white!

”Wait, AC Milan?” Morici suddenly remembered another discontented figure at the San Siro Stadium, ”So Andrés, over there with Andrés, are you going to enchant him to demand higher pay too?”

Lu Yang smiled.

Momo still didn’t fully understand.

”I didn’t enchant anyone, I just let Andrés see the real attitude of the club and fans towards him.”

”If you can’t accompany a player through the dark days during his low points, then no one has the right to ask a player to remember the color of his jersey when he’s at the peak.”

”What was Andrés before coming to Milan? He was the best midfielder in Portugal, the number one talent star of Portugal! AC Milan begged him to come, saying they would make him as shining a player as Izalelt, but... they polished him into a workhorse.”

”This is certainly beneficial to the team, but hasn’t it almost ruined Andrés’s life?”

”Now that Izalelt might leave, AC Milan wants to use Andrés and Sogel to fill the tactical and functional void left by Izalelt’s departure. They have to rely on Andrés, so they must give Andrés a contract that proves his worth!”

”If next season, AC Milan’s results plummet, that’s one thing, but if AC Milan doesn’t regress and Andrés’s core role is evident, he, like Talista now, will definitely demand a high salary!”

”The team was unkind to him once, and he won’t speak loyalty to the team in the future! AC Milan nearly ruined Andrés for Izalelt, and Andrés is just demanding a high salary while maintaining the team’s glory, which is far less ruthless than the club.”

Morici was scared to death.

People play football with their feet, with opponents being the players on the field.

You play football with your brain, and your opponents are even at the club or league level!

Brother Lu, promise me, notify me before you sell me in the future, okay?

Of course, Morici is a bit scaring himself here.

What Lu Yang did cannot be counted as arrangements; he just did some things that might be useful in the process. And he didn’t nail it from the start; he just maintained personal relationships with some players he liked.

How things will develop, no one can say for sure.

We can only say that the current trend of Serie A is pretty much as Lu Yang predicted, and by coincidence, all his preparations just happen to play out.

It’s not his arrangements that are impressive, but his big picture perspective.

The eruption of the salary system was inevitable.

Even if AC Milan and Inter Milan don’t have this problem now, Juventus, Rome, and Florence will naturally face it next season or the season after next.

Too many old players were used, young players were suppressed for too long, and suddenly encountering a Moneyball uprising promoting prime-age players, Serie A can’t escape this wave of player backlash no matter what.

Who asked them not to give young players high pay!

Had they given young players high pay earlier, the salary system would’ve inflated sooner, and their endurance would’ve been stronger, gaining more experience to trick players now.

Lu Yang just accelerated this backlash a bit, allowing San Remo to reap some benefits.

In addition, from the fans’ perspective, this kind of breaking the traditional power structure is instead an exciting highlight.

Barring any accidents, in the next two to three years, Serie A’s viewership won’t decline due to stars leaving, but will temporarily rise due to increased suspense.

Only when most of the stars leave and a new pattern is reestablished will Serie A’s viewership take a nosedive.
