I AM the Football Star

”Xiaolu, I can only assist you until Serie A, next season, sigh...”

Morici was sitting with his sister Emma and girlfriend Tia, opposite Lu Yang and Sofia. Today was a family dinner.

Sofia rarely had a holiday.

”Are you leaving San Remo next season?” Tia was shocked by Morici’s words.

Wasn’t it agreed that you’d fight in Serie A?

Lu Yang laughed, ”Don’t mind him, Tia. He’s just trying to show off about Barça’s relentless pursuit and deep affection for him.”

Morici laughed heartily, ”You understand me! Yes, I admit, Barça really wants me badly. They even couldn’t wait to contact the club during our game against Werder Bremen, hoping to discuss my transfer with Sotu.”

”It’s Barça! They are very likely to win the league this year! They’ve also reached the quarter-finals in the Champions League, they’re a world-class giant! Not many football players are pursued by them like this!”

Looking at Morici, who was beaming with excitement, Lu Yang sarcastically said, ”Really, great Morici? You’re at least second in command on the team with me around, but if you go to Barça, tsk tsk tsk... Let me just say, if you can’t make it into the top three on the team, don’t say that I’m still your dad!”

”You’re just a little brother!” Morici was exasperated, ”Don’t you understand? Real Madrid built the Galaxy Battleship, but the last piece of the puzzle was the top star Izalelt!”

”Barcelona has also built the Cosmic Team, and their last piece of the puzzle is me, Morici! In a way, I’m now in the same league as Izalelt!”

Hahaha!

Everyone at the table laughed.

It has to be said, Morici’s spirit of sacrificing himself for a joke was truly great. He brought laughter to his friends around him.

”I’m serious, though. I heard Gudiola personally came out from Barça, hoping to talk to Sotu and me about the future. He is very optimistic about the development of San Remo, especially the current tactical innovation of San Remo.” Morici said seriously.

He wasn’t joking.

Barça really wanted him.

Of course, everyone knew Momo liked to brag a bit.

In reality, it was unlikely for him to go to Barça.

At least for next season, he plans to accompany Brother Lu in Serie A.

But the season after next, it’s really hard to say.

Just like how Izalelt was willing to try one more season for AC Milan, Morici couldn’t have Barça waiting for him forever.

But Lu Yang made a good point; at San Remo, Morici was second in command and could even rival the main leader.

But at Barça, whether it’s the team captain or the core, Morici had to step aside.

Even the supernova Mancini’s pitch time and importance would rank ahead of Morici.

Not to mention the core players from Barça’s local youth training.

Headed by the Argentine emperor Leonardo Mario, the Barça youth training team all received core-level treatment, whether in terms of popularity or in tactical aspects.

This season, they made a great tactical breakthrough, with an average ball control rate of 62%, which is very rare.

The media credited this to the tacit understanding developed from playing together since youth training.

This was evidently something other players couldn’t easily integrate with in a short time.

Seeing Morici actually considering the possibility of joining Barça, Lu Yang frowned.

Joking aside, don’t make jokes about Barça.

Barça did indeed make an offer for Morici during the winter window, but from the price, it was clear they were purely betting on luck.

They didn’t have the intent to necessarily get Morici, and they hadn’t even considered what position to arrange for Morici if he joined.

In fact, after buying such ”little devils,” Barça typically lent them out immediately, and only when Morici was indeed worth noting a few years later and there was a position vacancy would Barça consider recalling him to the first team’s bench.

This is the standard operation process of giants for little devils.

Unless you’re the Mancini for whom Barça spent forty million, don’t expect to go directly into the first team.

In top giants, even the bench requires first-class stars to qualify to sit there.

Morici evidently knew this too, so he never showed excitement over Barça’s offer from start to finish.

Never mind Seven million euros, even the Ten million euros buyout clause far underestimated his current market value.

So, the reason for Lu Yang’s frown wasn’t the rumors between Barça and Morici.

Morici could handle these things himself, he simply liked to flaunt and show off, very much a flirt!

The real reason Lu Yang frowned was... Gudiola was clearly interested in San Remo’s chain reaction tactic!

Could this... result in Barça becoming stronger ahead of time?

Would Gudiola, perhaps inspired by this, create an even more powerful Cosmic Barcelona?

This was very possible!

Who doesn’t know the tikitaka of Cosmic Barcelona?

However, it was not until 2022 or even later that the soccer world gradually realized, there was a point about that Barça everyone overlooked.

Later, Barça’s tikitaka had imitators, but no one could ever truly succeed in recreating the cosmic flow.

Many attributed this to the tacit understanding of the Barça youth team!

However... ten years later, Guardiola at Manchester City revealed the lie with a new army!

Tacit understanding is certainly important.

But under tactical positioning, the tacit understanding can be completely replaced.
