I AM the Football Star

Chapter 243: Chapter 85: Dominating Eleven Straight Wins, Wings Clipped on the Flank (Part 4)

Within forty minutes, the benefits he brings to the team outweigh the negatives.

But once it exceeds this time, he becomes more of a liability than an asset.

No team likes a ”quick three-second, non-lasting” man.

Except for San Remo.

However, after losing a main right winger, San Remo has become both fond of and resentful towards Belletti.

”It’s not Belletti’s fault, he is the most suitable player for our current team structure.” Sotu was very firm.

”Mr. Russell over there, I’m afraid he has to take action.” Tom looked troubled.

Both of them tacitly agreed not to continue the conversation.

Because sometimes, facts render all arguments powerless.

San Remo does indeed need to bring in another main winger.

And players in the market capable of shouldering this responsibility are really very few.

Mr. Russell is now full of confidence in the team, even willing to invest in the team, which is already very good.

At this time, if anyone stops Mr. Russell, it would truly be a bit too much.

Almost simultaneously, in the stadium box, Mr. Russell excitedly dialed his phone: ”Scott... yes, that’s right, get Becher’s, we need him... no problem, meet all his demands... I think anyone on the team would welcome his arrival!”

After hanging up, Russell felt delighted inside.

Scott is the new sports director he found.

Apart from handling sports matters, he even considers some economic issues for Russell.

”Need more Lu Yangs and Moricis” is the slogan Scott proposed, which quickly won Russell’s favor and trust.

Of course, Russell remembers his agreement with Sotu to give Sotu the maximum authority in recruitment, and he would provide funding.

But Sotu is too frugal with spending, making Russell even doubt if Sotu is used to being poor.

He wanted to tell Sotu, even if you want a Serie A star, I can find a way to buy one for you.

Not an aging star like Latu Yidi, but one who still truly has peak combat power.

In this regard, Sotu also had something he hadn’t told Russell.

Do you really think the team’s future expenses will be small?

Do you really think a salary of two or three hundred thousand can keep Morici and Lu Yang?

Next season, if you’re not prepared to spend tens or hundreds of millions, will Arthas let you go?

Don’t joke!

Including goals, assists, championships, honor bonuses, etc., Lu Yang’s average salary in the next two years absolutely won’t be inferior to any Serie A star.

In this case, spending money really needs to be done sparingly.

If the team smoothly enters Serie A, the recruitment issue won’t just be about three to five million!

Money needs to be spent on the blade!

But these things, even if Sotu told Russell, Russell might not understand.

Everyone’s business philosophy for the team has already diverged somewhat.

Because Russell has already accepted Scott’s idea of ”cultivating more Lu Yangs and Moricis” in advance.

He is willing to spend multiple millions on lottery tickets, but wouldn’t be willing to spend tens of millions on bringing in real strong players, feeling it’s not worth it.

But these outsiders don’t know how many lottery tickets it takes to get a player like Lu Yang or Morici.

Ten?

Twenty?

Fifty?

Even a hundred might not yield one.

Sports Director Scott?

He doesn’t know a thing!

On the field, in the 86th minute of the whole match.

It seemed like it would end in a draw.

Again it was Camihong, as a left-back, overlapping with Bai Zhami at the bottom line, taking away a defender.

Bai Zhami, trained by Lu Yang, was still able to perform the basic overlap.

Then Bai Zhami passed the ball to Lu Yang.

Lu Yang took the ball at the flank, greatly increasing the threat.

He lifted his foot, making the opponent extremely nervous.

However, Lu Yang only performed a fake shot with a real breakthrough.

The Cruyff Turn successfully evaded the opponent.

It was already the final moments, and the opponent didn’t overthink it, decisively fouling and pulling Lu Yang two meters outside the penalty box.

But Lu Yang’s acceleration was fierce.

He wasn’t completely pulled down by the opponent.

Instead, he managed to maintain his balance with one hand on the ground.

At this time, the opposing center-back came up to intercept.

Lu Yang used his hand as an axis, moved his feet rapidly on the ground, using his butt to block the opponent’s interception.

This awkward action was not aesthetically pleasing.

But it very forcefully blocked the opponent, and the effect was remarkable.

Manual spin, the warrior in the realm of spins!

With a moment gained, Lu Yang suddenly exerted force in his legs, pushing himself to the side, then, during his fall, he kicked the football out with his foot.

The ball nutmegged the defender.

Because the incident happened suddenly, the opposing goalkeeper didn’t expect Lu Yang, who had just been facing away, to shoot, so he didn’t even attempt to save.

Bam!

The ball hit the net, neither too fast nor too slow.
