I AM the Football Star

Chapter 234: Chapter 84: Advanced Data, Expected Goals, and Winter Transfer Window (13,000-Word Chapter) Part 3

Why stay in a player dorm when you’ve got a seaside villa!

At least when showering in the bathroom, you don’t have to experience the awkward scene of ”passing through the bustling crowd, appreciating it whether you like it or not”.

Compared to Brother Ni, Morici, who is only 1.74 meters tall, really doesn’t have the advantage.

So Morici decisively came to find Lu Yang.

And so, Lu Yang was back to playing football under Morici’s guidance every day.

Morici’s foot hasn’t recovered; the doctors say it will take at least another month.

But Morici has high insight and great skills, making him a perfect technical coach.

”Hehehe, do you really think you’re Izalelt? I admit your Rabona looked great, but didn’t you notice your follow-up was terrible? Why adjust? Just connect with your irregular spin!” Morici was very dissatisfied.

”That’s called the Bengbu Spin, please respect the creator of this skill!” Lu Yang was a machine emotionlessly practicing football.

”What are you doing? Your so-called Cruyff Turn, you don’t need to complete it, when you’re halfway through, there’s a better shooting opportunity right here. Be agile, do you understand flexibility?”

”Do you even know the difference between a heel flick and a Cruyff Turn? Football control, understand? If you’re going to flick the ball with your heel, you have to boldly kick the ball out, because you’re confident in your sudden stops and eruptions. If not, don’t use this move, because then you’re just doing it for the sake of doing it, and it serves no purpose in getting past players.”

”Amplitude, the key point of this move is amplitude, your amplitude is too small, who can you deceive? Little girls? Nine shallow one deep is the biggest lie in the world!”

”Impact! The core of this move is physical confrontation; that’s your strength, have you forgotten? Without confrontation, they’ll chase you down in minutes!”

Football isn’t just about teamwork; every small move actually has many areas that need polishing and careful attention.

To be honest, Morici, despite not being great himself, has a method when it comes to teaching others, truly a living human coach. Though his aversion to ’nine shallow one deep’ is quite deep, who knows what he’s been through.

After a hearty training, Lu Yang took a shower and then lay on the couch with Morici in the living room watching TV.

Not a football match or post-match analysis, but pure entertainment videos; players aren’t robots, they need to relax mentally occasionally.

But thinking of how Lu Yang and Sofia once did what on this couch that cost over fifteen thousand Euros, Morici shivered and quickly grabbed a small stool to sit beside the coffee table.

”You mentioned before that the team sought your opinion regarding player recruitment,” Morici initiated the conversation.

”Yes, last season. I know, Sotu was just being friendly to me; in reality, I shouldn’t have any say in these matters,” Lu Yang replied.

”But this year is different; you should voice your thoughts,” Morici shifted the topic, pulling up recent transfer news on his phone.

San Remo is indeed introducing a winger, that’s indisputable.

”The team really needs a backup winger,” Lu Yang stated.

”But are you sure when they arrive, they’ll just be backups?” Morici looked at Lu Yang.

Lu Yang frowned slightly.

At the moment, he’s quite satisfied with San Remo’s trident.

Maybe Fernandez is a bit lacking in ability, but his attitude is correct.

The Italian Third Division isn’t Serie A; San Remo isn’t Real Madrid; people with positive attitudes but slightly lacking abilities won’t be eliminated.

”Sotu should have the same thought as I do,” Lu Yang knows Sotu; their 99 closeness isn’t just talk, and Sotu definitely has no intention of replacing Fernandez right now.

”But no one has ever communicated this to Fernandez,” Morici pointed out, ”If I were Fernandez, I’d definitely train harder during this winter break, I’d feel a huge sense of crisis!”

”Moreover, I think the club truly wants to bring in this player.”

Morici was referring to the current hottest right winger in the Italian Third Division, Becher’s.

It’s just the beginning of the winter window, and Rome has already made a formal offer of two million Euros.

They’re planning to bring Becher’s to Serie A, to compete for the position alongside Aguirre.

Becher’s age is perfect for a big endeavor; entering Serie A now means he has the opportunity to progress further during his peak and join prestigious and top teams.

Two million definitely isn’t his full value.

Rome’s offer took into account the value of their platform.

But it’s said that San Remo is also secretly contacting Becher’s agent, wanting to bring this excellent player from the same league to the Municipal Stadium, especially since everyone has already witnessed Becher’s prowess.

A player who can still perform decently under Lu Yang’s full marking is bound to be unanimously accepted by San Remo.

After all, even Benevento’s number seven went invisible under Lu Yang’s marking.

In comparison, Becher’s performance seems better.

”A strong addition is a good thing,” Lu Yang said while starting to search Becher’s stats, but as he looked through, his brows became slightly furrowed.

”How about it, found the problem?” Morici said unhappily, ”This Becher’s indeed has good ability, but his style is the typical core play; he likes to head towards the middle.”
