I AM the Football Star

Chapter 221: Chapter 81: Penalty Shootout? (Part 2)

They don’t plan to start the attack quickly, they aim for stability.

Actually, this scene alone has already caught the attention of many professionals.

San Remo has steadied themselves!

Their morale hasn’t scattered.

They haven’t panicked.

What does panic mean?

In recent years, matches played by the German Team when they fall behind vividly illustrate this concept.

Especially in major tournaments.

Often, with twenty or thirty minutes left and they are trailing by a goal, they start with mindless long balls and big kicks to the front, tactics that essentially have no strategic significance.

Ironically, they don’t even have a matching big central forward.

The more critical the match, the more evident this becomes.

Clearly, they can slowly organize the attack, opportunities are plenty, but they choose ways they aren’t skilled at when they shouldn’t gamble.

The mindset of this team is problematic.

Their results can also reflect this issue.

San Remo, at this moment, is the opposite of the German Team, their mentality is great.

Because they all know, they have Lu Yang!

This might be the difference.

A team with centripetal force and a definite core has a future.

After drawing the opponent out slightly, Lu Yang, with a move of a ball tap and lift, initiated a sudden breakthrough.

Followed by a bicycle kick passing the ball forward, passing by the number ten player, leaving the opponent to only watch him leave.

Benevento’s midfield was instantly penetrated by Lu Yang.

Unfortunately, because the two ”flyers” did not advance, only Sogel was in the San Remo front line.

So Benevento could have three people come up to trap Lu Yang.

Lu Yang performed the Bengbu Spin.

The opponent knocked Lu Yang down.

A set piece in the front field.

But the San Remo players still didn’t advance.

Still only Sogel was at the front.

Bai Zhami seemed to be walking in the front as well, but that was genuinely walking.

His stamina isn’t good.

You can’t have both eruption and stamina.

Versachi kicked the ball to Lu Yang, and Lu Yang passed it back.

They returned to the scene at the start of the extra time, purely wasting time.

This cowering play style really lacks grace.

But Sotu showed no shame in it at all.

What else?

Should I open the door of my house, waiting with open arms for you?

Should we let our exhausted players all run up to join the attack?

This is a match, not a friendship!

Bang!

This time, Lu Yang brought the ball forward a bit more than last time, and at thirty-five meters from the goal, he chose to shoot.

This was a shot with no chance of scoring, and Lu Yang didn’t aim at the goal at all.

He just didn’t want to be intercepted by the opponent.

Being able to consume some more opposition time, grind against the opponent’s players a bit more, is his tactical goal.

But this powerful shot indicated that he still had plenty of stamina.

This is crucial, yet few people noticed.

Most people only saw the decline in Lu Yang’s shooting quality.

Fifteen minutes passed in a flash.

The second half of extra time began.

Lu Yang ran across the field, with running distance already reaching 15 kilometers.

But his speed didn’t noticeably slow down.

Even...

Bang!

After a beautiful interception, Lu Yang continued dribbling the ball towards the front field.

Vedian, who was intercepted, was a bit dazed.

He didn’t expect Lu Yang could catch up with him.

He only came on in the second half.

He performed well today, ran a lot, sprinted a lot, so his stamina was also depleted.

But he should be stronger than Lu Yang, right?

This...

Bang!

Lu Yang took another long shot to waste time.

The commentator said: ”San Remo’s intention is clear, they want to drag the match into extra time, but this may not be a wise choice.”

”Although both sides conceded four goals, the ability of both goalkeepers is not low.”

”Benevento’s advantage is that their goalkeeper is younger. While Jalard in San Remo has decent skills, his age means that such a long focus in a match greatly exhausts his mental and physical strength, his state won’t be better than Benevento’s goalkeeper.”

”Moreover, Benevento’s players have generally better ball skills than San Remo. In their team, at least over seven players can step up for penalty kicks.”

”San Remo can’t even assemble five people. Lu Yang, Sogel, Bai Zhami... Who else? Naji perhaps, since he’s scored quite a few own goals.”

The commentator added humor.

His insights are also most people’s thoughts.

San Remo is committing a self-destructive act.

Of course, getting to this point, they haven’t lost.

After this battle, everyone knows San Remo doesn’t belong to the Italian Third Division anymore!

They have the strength to wrestle with top teams in Serie B.

Even without Lu Yang’s two miracle goals, they can score two excellent goals. Change any Italian Third Division team to come, they absolutely can’t achieve this!

minutes into the whole match.

Naji intercepted the opponent’s bottom cross in the air.

The quality of both sides’ attacks have severely declined.

The seventh player’s pass didn’t reach his own central forward’s head.

After scoring early, he perfectly performed the invisibility skill, his performance was quite poor.

This has much to do with Lu Yang always marking him during defense.

Versachi received the ball, surrounded but transferred the football to Lu Yang on the flank.

Bang!

Lu Yang directly kicked the football out.

The athletics race, came again!
