I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Jade Forest Border.

Unlike the ground forces that have just begun engaging in close combat, the aerial battle is far more intense.

Even though the domain [Jade Realm] was ”poisoned,” without considering the domain, Aiselas is still a Giant Dragon at Level 17.

The loss of domain effectiveness impacts it far less than it would other Professionals.

Its body remains as massive as a war machine, and its spellcasting abilities and control over natural forces are still as strong as ever.

At this moment, its toxic breath is assembling into numerous dark green spectral dragon silhouettes, autonomously lunging towards the Weavers’ position.

At the stage of the Green Dragon Queen, its breath has already integrated deeply with its magical abilities and the surrounding environment, not just a mere product of its physical organs.

Moreover, at Level 17, despite being in the same Epic Domain, there’s a world of difference from Level 16, namely at Level 17, one can attempt to learn 9th circle spells.

Whether one can truly master them depends on skill and talent, but it is an undeniable threshold.

With the magical talent of a true dragon, learning them through prolonged experiences shouldn’t be a problem.

The Weaver Erich Xavier’s figure flickers.

As a Grand Mage, even with domains transformed, his magical foundation remains as solid as a rock.

Those who can break through to the Epic Domain are legendary in their own life stories.

They will naturally maximize their strengths, and use various means to conceal unavoidable weaknesses.

Erich Xavier has valued Spatial Magic, which can advance or retreat strategically, since his youth when he stepped into the master phase.

Among all mages with epic potential, his Spatial Magic talent is neither extraordinary nor mediocre.

Thus, without talent, repetition is the key.

After boring daily practice, various spatial spells have become as instinctual as breathing.

Especially the 7th circle [Teleportation Skill], which he has studied into a uniquely personal Insect Cocoon Skill.

Within short distances, the casting interval of the Teleportation Skill has been significantly shortened, and a single casting can trigger multiple consecutive spatial shifts.

During teleportation, the magic power cocoon surrounding him forms a solid defense, preventing shockwaves from disrupting the teleportation.

Even if the enemy’s attack truly seizes the fleeting moment and breaks through the cocoon’s defense, his Insect Cocoon Skill can alter the original teleportation coordinates, instinctively bouncing the caster to a relatively nearby spatial coordinate.

Seeing the Weaver Erich Xavier madly flickering under the strangulation of hundreds of toxic fog dragons like a slippery eel, the Green Dragon Queen’s dragon eyes were filled with suspicion.

Yet, it still probed with its words.

”Still employing the tricks from over a hundred years ago, it seems during this time, besides focusing on my domain, you’ve made no other progress.”

To kill it, simply sealing domains and using Erich Xavier’s previous skills is far from enough, what other tactics does the opponent hide?

Though Aiselas verbally belittles the Weaver as an ant from start to finish, its cautious actions, like a seemingly formidable Giant Dragon, are laughably cautious.

Despite seemingly having overwhelming strength over Erich Xavier, it behaves like the weaker party, not daring to approach the elder but continuously probing with magic and words.

This is the distinction between true dragons.

If an adult Red Dragon were here, it would triumphantly defeat the opponent head-on; as for what backup measures the enemy harbors? It wouldn’t even concern itself, as its abnormally strong body would endure any obvious or hidden attacks.

But the Green Dragon is different; their bodies are far inferior to Red Dragons, and they prefer thinking over brute force.

For Aiselas, this is undoubtedly a perilous enemy it detests, evident from the opponent enduring a curse’s torment for over a century just to crack its domain.

Given the capabilities displayed by the opponent, it should know its chances of killing it.

So, what tactics is it hiding?

As the lord of the Borderland of the Jade Forest, Aiselas doesn’t actually care about the outcome of this war.

Even with a huge victory, advancing to occupy the entire Cold Jade Province, it faces attacks from further directions, and whether it can hold the gains is still uncertain.

If defeated, it would merely retreat into the forest, taking advantage of the natural terrain to hide.

It always prioritizes its safety.

As for the Green Dragon Army’s lives, that comes next on the agenda.

It can always cultivate a new Monster Legion.

Despite waging war with such gusto, if the situation turns unfavorable, it might flee the next moment.

This is the extremely flexible bottom line of being a Green Dragon.

Thus, to kill a Green Dragon lacking honor, simply being stronger is not enough; the strength must be overwhelming, preferably cutting off all escape routes.

If it truly wishes to escape, even Level 18 or 19 epic warriors might not be able to catch it.

And epic warriors of that level are nearly as pivotal as pillars of heaven when no legends are present.

Moreover, this war doesn’t just erupt at the Jade Forest border; without exact information, Aiselas wouldn’t act as a pioneer.
