I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

The young Blue Dragon had no idea why Gauss had become stronger again, but it did not stop it from starting to feel afraid.

It vaguely sensed the breath of death.

Anxiety began to grow wildly in its heart like weeds.

It was a noble Blue Dragon, how could it die silently here?!

Thinking of this, it no longer had the thought of entangling with Gauss.

It wanted to live!

The young Blue Dragon glanced at Gauss, who had kept a sufficient distance from it all along, knowing this enemy was extremely cautious, only engaging it in magical long-range bombardments, leaving it little chance to break through.

But clearly, it seemed he was preparing some special means, judging by his continuously rising momentum.

This standoff couldn’t continue any longer!

The Blue Dragon’s heart rang an alarm.

Since it couldn’t heavily wound the enemy in a short time, it could only find a way to escape from here.

So, several massive lightning balls with a diameter of over three meters floating around it were shot fiercely towards the invisible barrier in the sky overhead.

”Boom!”

The ball-like electricity struck an invisible but indestructible shackle.

The power of the lightning ball exploded the instant it touched the Silent Birdcage, a full-force blow infused with a large amount of magic power, causing the entire sky to tremble.

The dazzling white light swallowed half of the sky, and the aftermath turned into annular electric ripples spreading in all directions.

Wherever it passed, even the air was ionized into a light blue plasma state.

The Blue Dragon flew quickly while keeping a steady gaze on the invisible barrier above, its vertical pupils full of hope.

The barrier seemed to shake violently under its full-force attack, and it could even vaguely glimpse the real sky outside the core of the thunderstorm.

Unfortunately, just as a glimmer of hope rose.

The barrier seemed to draw energy from other places, and the originally shaking state quickly stabilized.

”Damn it!”

It cursed silently in its heart.

The power of its attack just now was indeed not to be underestimated; if it fell into a human town, it could easily cause thousands of casualties.

But as a special golden-quality strange artifact with quite harsh usage conditions, the Silent Birdcage was not so easy to break through.

Most extraordinary creatures find it difficult to breach it in a short time.

Perhaps it could only wait until its maintenance time ended, and it dissipated on its own.

Of course, the Silent Birdcage could only be used under specific conditions, firstly, the enemy shouldn’t be too strong. It could trap most extraordinary level creatures, but if it were the top power of the extraordinary or stronger epic creatures, its effect wouldn’t be significant.

Their casual blow might break through the Silent Birdcage’s endurance threshold.

Furthermore, the Silent Birdcage could only trap both the enemy and the ally, with no other auxiliary effects. If not strong enough, using this strange object would just be carving out a prison with oneself inside.

Therefore, its usage scenario is quite limited.

It just so happened, Gauss currently could use it.

In a few years, when Gauss becomes even stronger, he might not even care about it if given to him for free.

After a brief moment of disappointment, the Blue Dragon, still not believing in fate, continued to gather the 5th level spells it mastered, bombarding upwards.

It seemed to want to make up for the lack of quality with quantity.

In terms of the number of high-level spells it mastered, most casters couldn’t compare to it even if they tried.

The upper limit of magic it could simultaneously master was several times that of human genius casters.

Although the Green Dragon Queen had placed some restrictions on their actions, she provided some necessary cultivation resources, coupled with the spells awakened from time to time in its blood, it mastered a wide range of magic.

Various offensive spells, dispelling spells, and even spatial magic, which it was not fluent in using, were attempted one after another.

But the effect of the Silent Birdcage was such that, if the attack power couldn’t break through the upper limit, it was extremely difficult to make it collapse, and attempting to use the Sea of Magic Strategy to make up numbers was just a delusion.

Furthermore, Gauss wasn’t just watching, he continuously released magic missiles and Confusion Skill to interfere with it from behind.

It could be said that the young Blue Dragon was under enormous pressure.

It was also worried that Gauss’s immensely controlling silver giant hand would suddenly imprison it.

Although it considered its physical strength to be much stronger than the other three dragons, it didn’t want to test it at the cost of its life.

Just as the Blue Dragon was anxious, thinking whether to fiercely retaliate against Gauss, the battle outcome in the valley finally took shape.

First, the female Green Dragon, after Gauss took care of another young Green Dragon, its situation gradually worsened.

The Green Dragons among the chromatic dragons were not known for their physical strength, one could say, the moment they were caught by Bigby’s Hand, without external help, their fate was only to slowly meet death.

After all, it was only a juvenile real dragon, its level hadn’t even broken through to the extraordinary realm, while Gauss in the Dragon and Ghost Contract state had reached level 13. The ring-boosted, enhanced Bigby’s Hand he used was simply not something it could contend against.

After holding on for over a minute, the female Green Dragon finally swallowed its last breath in grief.

The moment it closed its eyes, the surrounding vibrant plants began to wither rapidly, as if mourning the passing of the true dragon.

And the young Black Dragon battling against Hephaestus was also in a dire situation.

It was already at a disadvantage in close combat.

Hephaestus’s size was a circle larger than it, the defensive power of dragon hide and the attack power of sharp teeth and claws were already superior to it.
