Chapter 445: Chapter 31: Mechanical Warfare

The robot, pieced together from various different textured parts, slowly stood up from the ground:

”I am a combat type, Transform V16, sir, willing to serve you.”

Its arms were fitted with blades and gun barrels, and its body was covered in heavy steel armor.

[Transform V16 Robot: Tier Nine, a cobbled-together robot, combat effectiveness is lower compared to the standard type]

Su Changxing turned to T3 and said, ”It doesn’t have your spirituality.”

T3’s eyes flickered: ”Our system’s thinking is a copy of humans, the longer it exists, the more complex it becomes, but even a just-born robot can complete various commands, so you don’t need to worry, sir.”

”...”

Su Changxing seemed to understand how the so-called robot rebellion came about.

This AI system, copied from humans, can probably perform calculations in an extremely short time, growing at a terrifying speed, while at the same time bringing rapid technological advancement.

Humans have limits, while AI theoretically does not.

The people of that world should have realized this, but in the end, they were destroyed, like the forbidden fruit, once tasting the sweetness, they couldn’t help but eat it.

A laser shot out from V16’s gun barrel, piercing through an insect-like robot’s body, utterly destroying it, and then the mechanical corpse was swept into T3’s body for disassembly and melting.

Su Changxing advanced slowly on the highway with T3, clearing away the mechanical creatures on this road. These mechanical creatures weren’t too difficult to deal with, and if a small part of their bodies were damaged, V16 could take care of them.

Very quickly.

V17 was also born under T3’s assembly, but its form was completely different, the structure more delicate, and one arm was a slender steel sword, with stronger melee capabilities than V16, light and swift, with combat skills that could be considered masterful.

T3 noticed Su Changxing’s confusion and explained, ”Its system is loaded with the corresponding combat module.”

After walking a few kilometers, they encountered other robots like T3 that hadn’t rebelled, six small reconnaissance robots floating in the air.

”We can form a self-adaptive network, I can receive the image information they detect.”

A clear light screen was projected in front of T3, displaying the images scanned by the six reconnaissance robots, including information on temperature, humidity, wind direction, magnetic fields, etc.

”This thing might actually be somewhat useful.”

Su Changxing found that the range these robots could explore far exceeded his perception range.

The farthest range the six reconnaissance robots could detect was several tens of kilometers, although they were similarly obstructed by the black fog.

There were a large number of robots patrolling this highway, but they did not cross the highway’s bounds. You could see human figures in the forests avoiding these mechanical creatures, fleeing towards the city.

Su Changxing sat on T3’s shoulder, shooting one robot after another roaming in the distance.

V16 and V17’s main job was transporting the mechanical corpses into T3’s body, along with the cars on the road, which were pulled into its body for processing, breaking down into usable materials.

”Can you produce this kind of bullet?”

Su Changxing pulled a handgun bullet from his pocket and tossed it into T3’s body as he spoke.

T3 analyzed, ”This is a simple technique, I can produce it right now, but I can provide a bullet of the same fit with stronger power.”

Su Changxing nodded and said, ”Try producing a dozen or so first, how long will it take?”

T3 replied, ”Not long, I’m using a nanoscale cold casting process.”

A row of silver handgun bullets popped out from its arm, with the inscription ”T3” on the shell casing.

”They even have inscriptions, is this part of the manufacturing process?” Su Changxing carefully examined the bullets, smiling.

T3 unemotionally said, ”It proves that this is a product I manufactured.”

Su Changxing tested T3’s bullets, easily penetrating a robot’s body, the power significantly increased, with penetration and kinetic energy improved by about twenty percent.

It’s quite astonishing that just changing the bullet resulted in such improvement.

When T3 reached producing V24, the rebellious robots made a huge shift, seemingly realizing the threat, retreating and assembling like a well-trained unit, moving in unison.

”Sir, they have already formed a self-adaptive network and are ready to counterattack. I suggest a retreat,” T3 calmly stated.

Su Changxing smiled and said, ”What? Robots are afraid of dying?”

T3 continued mechanically, ”Sir, this is to ensure your safety. Our combat power is clearly inferior to theirs.”

Su Changxing thoughtfully nodded and said, ”Then don’t worry, you go fight them, I’ll support you, we should win.”

Even though these robots are combat types, many of them were not equipped with weapons, seeming like outdated models about to be scrapped, but they still became rebellious.

The battle was imminent.

”Buzz~”

A laser, accompanied by an ear-piercing electric sound, passed by Su Changxing’s ear, leaving black holes on the ground, smoking, with terrifying destructive power obvious.

Su Changxing continuously pulled the trigger, bullets fanning out one after another, penetrating the bodies of these robots.

At this moment, it was like a primitive man beating a modern man, except he was the primitive man, with great strength that had already leveled the technological gap.

These robots were only rated at Tier Nine, with simple combat modes, but their terrifying destructive power couldn’t be ignored.

Fortunately, Su Changxing’s evasion value was maxed out, and up to now, he was unscathed.

However, the rebellious robots quickly realized this and began changing the overall attack frequency, attempting to lock in on Su Changxing’s escape space.

Unfortunately, with the considerable distance between them, this number of lasers couldn’t lock down his escape space, and the robots charging forward couldn’t threaten him.

The battle didn’t last long, less than half an hour, before the rebellious robot forces completely lost their threat to Su Changxing, with him shooting down the ones capable of long-range combat one by one.

Su Changxing was without any damage, although some of the robots produced by T3 were destroyed.

”Sir, your combat strength is beyond imagination,” T3 praised.

It sent the damaged robots into its body for repair, with the repair speed much faster than manufacturing, only needing to replace the damaged parts.

In the ensuing time, they slowly advanced, the highway littered with destroyed robots, the air filled with a burnt smell.

As more and more robots were manufactured, Su Changxing no longer needed to intervene himself, sitting on T3’s shoulder watching them operate, fight, and process the surrounding mechanical corpses like a swarm of ants in a flurry of activity.
