Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 416: Chapter 2: Strange Events

Not long after the police left, Su Changxing planned to take a nap. After Tier Eight, the drawbacks of being a ”Dreamer” couldn’t be avoided, but they could be delayed or stored in advance.

Sleep.

Sleep.

······

”Knock knock~”

The sound of knocking came again.

Su Changxing opened his eyes in the darkness, suddenly remembering that Wang Liang might be coming to deliver some documents. At this time, they should have just finished the evening class.

Open the door.

”Su Changxing, let me tell you, something strange happened today. Someone died in the school toilet, and I heard their body was in a state of incompleteness······”

Wang Liang came in, babbling away, then suddenly stopped, staring at Su Changxing standing beside him, too shocked to speak: ”You······you stood up.”

He rubbed his eyes: ”Am I seeing things?”

Su Changxing nodded confidently: ”Yes, the doctor told me a while ago that there were signs of recovery. I didn’t expect to be able to stand up today.”

”Really? How come I didn’t know.”

Wang Liang clearly didn’t believe it and casually placed a thick stack of documents on the table.

Su Changxing picked up the documents, glanced at them, and said, ”Yes, but the doctor said the hope wasn’t very high, so I didn’t tell you.”

Wang Liang showed a look of delight, hugging Su Changxing’s shoulder and laughing: ”That’s great, tomorrow we must throw you a celebration dinner.”

Then, he looked suspicious and said: ”But how come you suddenly seem so different, and shouldn’t you be very happy about this kind of thing?”

Su Changxing felt Wang Liang was somewhat of a bother and changed the topic: ”I’ve already been happy······· You just said someone died in the school toilet, what happened?”

Talking about this matter, Wang Liang got excited and said:

”In the middle of class, someone from the neighboring classroom went to the toilet, but before our class ended, they were found dead. The police came quickly, but it seems they haven’t figured out the cause of death yet.”

Su Changxing looked surprised and said: ”That’s really strange. With such a big incident, the school must be in some chaos now.”

Wang Liang sat down on the sofa, pulled out his phone, and said:

”Definitely, our class was suspended at that time. I wanted to go in and take a look but wasn’t allowed. However, I saw someone posted a photo on the forum, supposedly very scary. I didn’t dare look.”

”Hmm? Where is it, let me see.”

Su Changxing said.

Wang Liang looked surprised and said: ”Hmm? You want to see?”

Su Changxing nodded: ”Let me see, I’m curious. I’ve been researching such supernatural events lately.”

Wang Liang fiddled with his phone, smiled, and said: ”As expected of you, your interests are always somewhat unique. Just posted, so it might not have been taken down yet.”

He opened the bloody photo, didn’t look at it himself, and directly handed the phone to Su Changxing.

A body almost completely corpse-like, only the upper half remained, the toilet floor covered in dark red blood, the pupils still gleaming with bloody light.

Sure enough.

He seemed to be on the brink of death but hadn’t completely died, only to die upon returning······quite unfortunate, barely surviving only to die in the end.

Luck’s hard loser.

Judging by Wang Liang’s expression, he seemed unaware he had died in the Doomsday World, completely oblivious to what this implied.

For ordinary people, it’s as if nothing happened, just that the world suddenly has more strange occurrences and becomes more dangerous.

Su Changxing didn’t believe that the world would remain unchanged from before; otherwise, everything he experienced would be meaningless.

”Indeed unfortunate, and quite strange-looking.”

Su Changxing nodded, evaluating seriously.

Wang Liang was a bit speechless, said: ”You’re still looking so closely, no need to disgust yourself unnecessarily. Anyway, I can’t stand it mentally or physically.”

Su Changxing thought for a moment and asked: ”Seems like you still looked······are there any similar cases?”

Wang Liang opened the cola on the table, took a sip, and said:

”Surprisingly, yes. It seems such strange occurrences have suddenly increased······I saw a post on the forum saying someone in their company madly jumped out of a window but miraculously remained unscathed.”

”······”

Su Changxing raised an eyebrow, estimating that person must have survived from the Doomsday World.

Wang Liang continued with emotion:

”I heard the person who died at the school was from a wealthy family, a second-generation rich kid, always renting rooms at Huang Jia Hotel. Came to class for once, yet died.”

”But with such an incident, I guess classes will be suspended tomorrow. We’ll probably get notified soon.”

He said confidently, like a wise prophet.

Su Changxing stood up, said: ”Have you eaten? I’ll get something to eat, I’m a bit hungry.”

Wang Liang was a bit surprised: ”I’ve eaten, but I can still have some. But don’t you usually avoid snacks at night?”

Due to physical reasons, Su Changxing had lived a fairly regimented lifestyle, avoiding midnight snacks, staying up late, or drinking alcohol.

”Haven’t eaten for a day, a bit hungry.”

Saying this, Su Changxing walked to the kitchen to prepare two dishes. Eating instant food for long gets tiresome, though his cooking skills aren’t masterful, he can handle simple dishes.

Finished cooking.

Wang Liang, brimming with interest, was browsing the forum, seemingly finding something very amusing. The two ate and chatted for a long time.

Wang Liang could chat endlessly, while Su Changxing seemed to reminisce, feeling he hadn’t seen Wang Liang in ages, even believing they might never meet again.

”It’s quite late, I’ll stay here instead of going back to the dormitory.”

Wang Liang gazed at the night outside the window and said.

Su Changxing nodded: ”Makes sense, it’s dangerous outside so late.”

Wang Liang laughed aloud: ”Kidding me, what danger could come to a big man like me.”

Su Changxing looked at his carefree demeanor, cautioned: ”With so many bizarre occurrences lately, you should be careful, I feel the world’s somewhat different.”

Wang Liang retracted his expression, said:

”Yeah, you’re right, being cautious is good. Watching those bizarre events is fine, experiencing them oneself would be really unfortunate.”

He deftly took a quilt from the cabinet, laid it on the sofa, and after a quick wash, prepared to sleep as if he belonged there.

Su Changxing glanced at him and said: ”Hmm? Sleeping so early, plans for tomorrow?”

Wang Liang was already wrapped in the quilt, with only his head exposed and said mysteriously: ”Hey, of course I have important plans. Since your leg’s healed, why not join me?”

Su Changxing smirked, shrugged: ”If it’s a date, count me out.”

”Certainly not.”

Wang Liang said helplessly: ”You really don’t care. Tomorrow Mo Xi’Er has a concert by the gym. I’ve already snagged tickets. If you want to go, I can get you another.”

Su Changxing suddenly remembered this event. Mo Xi’Er was a popular singer, and Wang Liang was her loyal fan, shook his head:

”Forget it, I have other plans tomorrow, you go ahead, don’t mind me.”

At that moment, he wasn’t in the mood for a concert, more interested in understanding this world, and what’s going on with the Doomsday Game now.
