Chapter 440: Chapter 26: Player Mutual Aid Association

Su Changxing retreated from the blocked-off area, his skin still touched by a cold, damp sensation, as if he were standing by a lake, with the wind constantly blowing, carrying the scent of grass.

”Leader, what on earth is this thing?”

Luo Haotian finally asked curiously. He couldn’t see anything, but he could vaguely sense that there was indeed something there.

Su Changxing took a deep breath, shook his head, and said, ”I’m not sure either. It’s very strange, but in any case, just don’t get too close to it.”

Then, he continued to wander around the city, looking for any other unusual presences, but he didn’t find much, although he did earn quite a few points.

After night fell, the streets were completely devoid of pedestrians, everyone staying at home voluntarily, yet chaos still occurred from time to time.

These monsters could appear anywhere.

”This way of earning points is too fast.”

Su Changxing looked at the additional hundreds of thousands of points and muttered to himself, only realizing that due to the ability to sell, his efficiency in earning points was originally twice as much as others.

Approaching midnight, Su Changxing was about to head back when he saw several people with weapons block his way.

Among them, a long-haired, long-faced man with dry skin eyed the Joker in front of him and said:

”You’re a player too, right? This area is already contracted by us. If you want to kill monsters to earn points, please go elsewhere.”

Su Changxing glanced at them, and the speaker was clearly an Extraordinary. The energy fluctuation was still very unstable, and he said:

”You just became an Extraordinary?”

Upon hearing that, the man was stunned. He had indeed just become an Extraordinary, but the fact that the other party pointed it out with just one sentence seemed unusual.

The man’s expression softened a bit as he asked, ”Are you an Extraordinary too?”

Su Changxing approached, noticing that many people behind the street were also looking at him, and smiled, ”You guess, there are quite a few of you. Are you all people who returned from the apocalypse?”

The man shook his head, smiling, and said:

”Of course not, the number of players is very few, but I told them the truth covered up by the government, and they’re willing to follow me.”

Su Changxing moved closer, staring into his eyes, and said, ”Is that so, so they’re here to assist you in cleaning up these monsters?”

The man instinctively took a step back and said, ”Since you’re also a player, you can join our Player Mutual Aid Association. I’m Liu Lin, currently one of the members of the association.”

”Player Mutual Aid Association? What’s that?”

Su Changxing showed a curious expression and asked.

Liu Lin felt there might be a chance and said, ”It’s too expensive to summon the Doomsday Shop once, but we can share the cost among several people. More importantly, our association members can help each other.”

Su Changxing thought for a moment and asked, ”How many of you are there?”

Liu Lin fell into a brief hesitation, shadows and faint light spreading across his face, one part dark, one part light.

”I can’t tell you that, but if you want to join us, you only need to hand over the corresponding points, and after we summon the Mysterious Shop, you can go in and buy things.”

”So that’s your summoned Doomsday Shop?”

Su Changxing looked to the side, where faint beams of light scattered in the sky.

The summoned Doomsday Shop would not disappear, appearing every night, though he was unclear about how long it would last.

Liu Lin sensed Su Changxing’s attitude and appeared impatient, saying, ”If you’re not interested, just leave here. We are definitely not to be trifled with.”

He couldn’t gauge Su Changxing, but felt he could not afford to lose in terms of momentum.

Su Changxing waved his hand, leisurely saying, ”Don’t rush, I didn’t say I wouldn’t join. Hmm, how many points? If I’m an Extraordinary, is there a discount?”

Liu Lin widened his eyes and hesitated again, saying, ”The price is the same, two thousand points. That shouldn’t be much for an Extraordinary.”

”Indeed, it’s not expensive.”

Su Changxing agreed and said, ”Okay, I’ll give you the points. Let me go to your Doomsday Shop and have a look?”

Liu Lin saw Su Changxing decisively transfer the points to him and felt even more uncertain, which also indicated that Su Changxing was not short of points at all.

”Well, fine, I’ll take you over, but you should know that everything inside is very expensive.”

”I know, so did you become an Extraordinary by relying on the Doomsday Shop?”

Liu Lin raised his eyebrows, nodded, and said, ”Sort of, you’re quite accurate in your guess.”

The Doomsday Shop they summoned was also on a rooftop, and when they arrived, someone was already standing there, exchanging items.

The person wearing a gray duckbill cap saw Su Changxing and his expression changed, pulling his hand out of the light cluster, and said, ”Liu Lin, why did you bring him over.”

Su Changxing looked at him, chuckled, and said, ”Oh? Do you know me?”

The person forced a smile and said, ”I don’t know you, but who doesn’t know that you’re a powerful Extraordinary, the Joker with a gun.”

Su Changxing pretended to be surprised and said, ”Oh, am I that famous?”

Liu Lin saw something was amiss and quickly said to Su Changxing, ”He’s also one of the association members, Wang Ang.”

Su Changxing nodded, extended a white gloved hand, and said, ”Since we’re all members of the association, there’s no need to be so distant.”

Even though he had shown enough gentleness, the red, white, and green face still made people fearful.

Wang Ang pressed down on his cap, reached out to shake hands with Su Changxing, and smiled, ”Brother Joker, I have some business to attend to, so I’ll leave first. There’s a lot in there, feel free to browse.”

Su Changxing saw his face was very tense, nodded, and said, ”Mm, take care.”

The handgun spun around his fingers unconsciously, as if playing with a toy.

”He really seemed to have something urgent, huh.” Su Changxing said confidently.

Wasn’t it you who scared him away?

Liu Lin’s face twitched, unsure of what to say, but he also felt that having Su Changxing join them might not be a bad thing.

This association had only him as an Extraordinary; having an additional powerful Extraordinary might also be good.

”Wang Ang, well, he has some other identity, so he’s always busy.” Liu Lin said calmly.

Su Changxing placed his hand into the light cluster, examined its contents, and said, ”I think your association’s model is pretty good. Who’s the founder?”

Liu Lin paused and said, ”It’s me and two others.”

”You can gather more people, just say I’m backing you guys, definitely many will be willing to join.” Su Changxing pondered and said.

Liu Lin didn’t understand what Su Changxing meant, hesitated, and said, ”Uh, would that... really be okay?”

Su Changxing affirmed:

”Of course, it’s fine. Your association, not to mention anything else, can connect different players together. In the absence of an open forum, it’s a good way.”

Many players are actually reluctant to engage with official organizations, having gone through doomsdays, they see through many things.

In contrast, such a private, their own organization would be more welcomed.
