Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 422: Chapter 8: Unknown Trickster

”Quite perceptive.”

Zhou An opened his eyes and thought to himself.

He guessed that the other party was also someone who had returned from the apocalypse, but was not an Extraordinary, possessing some kind of insight superpower that sensed his prying gaze.

”This woman has seen me, but didn’t see my face, so it’s not a big problem.”

Sitting in the living room.

Zhou An looked at the policeman named Shi Hong in front of him and said, ”I was in the study at the time and happened to hear screaming from outside, so I followed out.”

Shi Hong glanced at these students, thought for a moment, and said, ”Do you all live here?”

Zhou An shook his head and said, ”We just arrived today, planning to stay here for a while... this is my home.”

Shi Hong nodded expressionlessly, merely as a routine procedure, and said, ”Alright, be careful yourselves, call us if you have any issues.”

Zhou An’s face was heavy as he asked, ”Have you found the murderer? We’ll feel very unsafe otherwise.”

Shi Hong looked at Zhou An’s expression, sighed with fatigue on his face, and said:

”Sorry, we haven’t found them yet. The surveillance seems to have some issues; it seems all nearby have failed, but it should be resolved soon. Rest assured, we’ll have police stationed nearby for the next few days.”

Yi Yaqi quickly shook her head and said, ”You’ve worked hard; there’s nothing to apologize for.”

After the police left, Wang Liang and the others all showed strange expressions. They had just arrived, and such an event occurred right after.

”So was this a coincidence or something else?”

Wang Liang leaned back on the sofa, snacking on sunflower seeds, and said lazily, ”Zhou An, there’s something wrong with your TV signal; it keeps flickering.”

Zhou An squinted at the flickering TV screen and said, ”I think it might not be my TV... The police just said the surveillance was also having issues.”

Zhou An nodded and said, ”The signal must have been interfered with, causing network fluctuations in this area... I’m going up for a nap; let me know if you need anything.”

”Okay, no problem,” Zhou An agreed.

[Detecting position incompleteness, attempting to complete]

[Completing]

[Countdown five minutes]

The Doomsday Game hadn’t given him any rewards but started repairing the incompleteness of his position, seeing the Extraordinary’s position as systemic, shouldn’t be incomplete.

This is a loophole.

”Could this be my reward?”

Zhou An went to a bedroom across the study, closed the door, and sat on the bed, attentively feeling the changes in his body.

Chains of white light emanated from the phone, winding around his body layer by layer.

He didn’t know the result of fixing something inherently a loophole; the Doomsday Game might not have encountered this before, guided by certain logic to act this way.

Loopholes are generally not allowed, yet, in fact, everything contains loopholes; otherwise, its existence is just a loophole.

A white crack flashed before his eyes, and inside was pitch black, as if countless black dots of light surged toward him.

With that, Zhou An noticed the Doomsday Game began to twitch, throwing out such messages in an endless loop, as if completely stuck in a loop, yet not entirely.

He could feel significantly changes in his body, not in power but at the life level, involving the soul aspect.

This situation lasted over an hour, with tens of thousands of messages appearing, finally changing.

[Unknown Trickster (Perfect): Tier Eight, Extreme Rank.

1. Ordinary Person: You seem ordinary, not easily noticeable.

2. Imitation: Perfectly imitate others’ behavior, language, expressions.

3. Observation: Analyze others’ positions more quickly, accurately, in-depth.

4. Stealing: You have eight permanent stealing positions, thirty-two temporary stealing positions, and four backup stealing positions for self-replacement.

5. Magnification: Higher probability to enhance stolen abilities, based on power differences.

6. Dream Stealer: A derivative ability, can steal memories from others in dreams.]

”So this is the complete Trickster? Truly insane.” Zhou An couldn’t help feeling shocked himself.

He could permanently steal abilities, doubling from before, and can replace abilities with better ones anytime.

Abilities in backup stealing positions can’t be used directly, requiring time to replace and save extra abilities.

More importantly, the success rate has greatly increased, almost a hundred percent success for weaker beings.

This is essential and was the reason Zhou An used it cautiously before. A failure might collapse the position, but this issue is resolved now.

”This position looks perfect, but it’s quite unreasonable.”

Zhou An felt there must be drawbacks he hadn’t noticed yet.

Then, he got up and walked downstairs, yet heard a strange female voice.

”Were you all here just now?”

”Yes, we were all here, with Officer Shi, can vouch, any problem?”

”Nothing much, just asking, suspecting the murderer didn’t leave the area.”

...

The room was lit with a soft yellow light, paired with warm-toned decor, making it exceptionally cozy.

Zhou An leisurely descended the stairs, seeing Jiang Wei sitting on the sofa talking to Wang Liang, said, ”Who is this?”

Wang Liang introduced, ”This is Jiang Wei, Officer Jiang, also responsible for this case, here also to protect us.”

”Thanks to Officer Jiang then.”

Zhou An smiled, noticing the silver-white pistol on her waist, seemingly a special gun, similar to a Desert Eagle.

He noticed Zhou An wasn’t there and asked, ”Where’s Zhou An?”

Wang Liang indicated outside the door, ”He went out with Yi Yaqi to buy food, said he was hungry.”

”...”

Zhou An figured Zhou An must genuinely be hungry, no excuse to do something else.

Jiang Wei took another look at Zhou An, noticing nothing unusual, somewhat puzzled why she felt she had seen him before, stood up and said,

”There’s an urgent matter over there, I’ll leave first.”

Wang Liang stood up with a full smile to see her off, ”Officer Jiang, take care. I’ll see you out.”

Jiang Wei managed a slight smile, shook her head coldly, ”No need.”

Wang Liang looked a bit regretful, ”Alright then, take care.”

After Jiang Wei left, Wang Liang thoughtfully muttered, ”Zhou An, don’t you think Officer Jiang is very pretty?”

Huang Keying’s eyes widened, ”...”

Zhou An raised an eyebrow, reminding, ”Even if she’s pretty, it’s not advisable, um, definitely not.”

Wang Liang was puzzled, ”Huh, why?”

Zhou An glanced at Huang Keying staring at him, seriously said, ”She’s dangerous. Did you see her gun? The grip is polished, indicating frequent use of that gun...”

Wang Liang showed a surprised expression, ”Huh, you’ve observed that thoroughly.”
