Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 26: NZNT: Chapter 26

The next day, a formal challenge letter from Shisui was delivered to Yusuke. This immediately caused a stir in Konoha.

Although the Uchiha clan was being ostracized by the village in this period, they were still the first family of Konoha, and even the first family of the ninja world. They enjoyed extremely high prestige throughout the ninja world.

The news of the ”Most Talented Uchiha” challenging the ”Strongest Uchiha Ninja” immediately attracted the attention of countless people. With the Third Hokage’s behind-the-scenes encouragement, this duel became known to everyone.

Ninjas and civilians alike were waiting for the day of Yusuke and Shisui’s duel, wanting to see which of the two Uchiha masters would come out on top.

”I’m never playing with Shisui-nii again. I thought he was a good guy, but it turns out he’s a bad guy!” Izumi pouted on the training ground, as if she had a chip on her shoulder.

For simple Izumi, judging a person was still based on whether they were ”good” or ”bad.”

Itachi frowned, ”I didn’t expect Shisui to actually challenge Sensei. Although I don’t know his purpose, I believe that Shisui wouldn’t be so shallow as to just be after the title of ’Strongest Uchiha Ninja’.”

”But according to Shisui’s character, since he’s already issued the challenge, he definitely won’t retract it,” Itachi continued.

”Hmph, if he’s not going to retract it, then he’s not going to retract it. It’s a good chance for Brother to teach him a lesson!” Izumi said angrily.

Itachi shook his head, ”Shisui is very strong! I’m not underestimating Sensei, but to be honest, I think the outcome of this duel is uncertain.”

Kabuto pushed up his glasses and asked, ”Is Uchiha Shisui really that good?”

”Yes, I think Shisui’s Body Flicker Technique is almost unbeatable. But that’s just my judgment based on my own perception,” Itachi said with a serious expression.

Because Itachi often trained with Shisui at night, he knew more about Shisui’s strength.

At this time, Might Guy, who had just finished guiding the children in taijutsu training, nodded, ”Yes, I’ve also heard about ’Shisui of the Body Flicker’s’ self-created Body Flicker secret technique. He can create eight illusory clones.”

”These illusory clones are created by combining the Body Flicker Technique with Shisui’s secret technique. Only one is Shisui’s real body, and all the illusions can attack the enemy simultaneously!”

”Then wouldn’t that be even more difficult than facing eight enemies at the same time? There’s only one weakness, but there are eight points of attack. If you don’t destroy the real body, you have to face the attacks of eight enemies at the same time?” Kabuto frowned.

Itachi nodded, ”Yes, and I’m sure that Shisui can now create more than eight illusory clones.”

Izumi’s cute little face was blank, ”Huh?”

Izumi, whose talent was in the normal human range, didn’t understand their analysis.

”It seems like you’re all very unconfident in Sensei.” As they were discussing, a flash of fire rose from the ground, transforming into a calm-faced young ninja. It was Yusuke, who had just arrived at the training ground.

Seeing Yusuke appear, everyone gathered around him, asking him about his confidence in this duel.

”Don’t worry. Shisui is no match for me,” Yusuke said with a smile.

If he hadn’t obtained the Nine-Tailed Fox’s Yin Release chakra, Yusuke wouldn’t have been confident in defeating Shisui. But now, he had awakened his Sharingan and mastered a way to further unleash the power of Ryujin Jakka. He was confident of victory!

”I knew Brother was the best! You have to teach him a good lesson!” Izumi said happily, hearing Yusuke’s confident answer.

As she said this, Izumi frowned slightly, ”But don’t teach him a lesson that’s too harsh. After all, he was a good person before.”

Hearing Izumi’s innocent words, Yusuke smiled and patted her head.

Guy grinned, revealing a mouthful of white teeth, ”Since you’re so confident, Yusuke, how about we have a manly duel first?”

”I refuse!” Yusuke said expressionlessly.

With a bang, Itachi, Kabuto, and Izumi looked in surprise at Guy, who had suddenly attacked. Guy kicked out, stopping right next to Yusuke’s head. Yusuke blocked it with his arm.

Because Guy’s leg power was very strong, the impact of his leg hitting Yusuke’s arm made a loud noise.

”You can’t refuse this duel!” Guy laughed.

Before he finished speaking, Guy’s figure gradually blurred, as if he were an illusion.

Before anyone present could react, four identical Guys suddenly attacked Yusuke. Two used kicks, and two used punches!

Yusuke’s lips curled up slightly. He understood what Guy meant. He was helping Yusuke experience Shisui’s Body Flicker Technique in advance.

Yusuke dodged and blocked the attacks of the four Guys. Although Yusuke’s taijutsu was also excellent, he quickly realized that ordinary taijutsu was simply no match for this Body Flicker Technique. After all, Guy had only just managed to create four illusory clones!

Yusuke dodged left and right, barely having a chance to fight back. Even when he occasionally counterattacked, he only hit intangible illusions.

After barely holding on for a dozen seconds, Yusuke couldn’t withstand Guy’s onslaught. He used the ”Fire Illusion Crow Technique” to transform into dozens of illusionary crows shrouded in flames and create distance between himself and Guy.

It wasn’t that Yusuke didn’t have a way to deal with this Body Flicker Technique. But his method required him to release Ryujin Jakka, which could potentially injure Guy.

”Yusuke, how about it? Do you have a countermeasure for this illusory clone technique that uses the Body Flicker Technique?” One of the four Guys bent down, his hands on his knees, panting heavily. He had clearly used up a lot of stamina. The other three illusory clones of Guy gradually disappeared.

Guy’s taijutsu was stronger than Shisui’s, and he might not even lose to Shisui in terms of ordinary Body Flicker Technique. But Guy didn’t have the secret technique that Shisui mastered. He relied entirely on taijutsu and the Body Flicker Technique to simulate illusory clones, which consumed a lot of stamina. Therefore, even with Guy’s strength, he could only simulate four illusory clones at most, and he couldn’t sustain them for long.

Yusuke nodded, ”It’s very tricky, but it won’t defeat me.”

”Thank you, Guy.” Yusuke said sincerely.

Guy stood up and laughed heartily, ”No problem. I just don’t want the opponent I admire to lose to someone else first!”

Three days passed quickly. At this time, the training ground that Konoha used for ninja duels was already filled with spectators, both ninjas and civilians, who had come to watch the duel between the two Uchiha masters.

At this time, there were people from all the major ninja clans in the audience. Even the Third Hokage and Danzō had already taken their seats, quietly waiting for the duel to begin.

”Who do you think will win today?”

”It should be ’Shisui of the Body Flicker.’ I heard he can transform into a thousand people. He’ll stab the other person with a thousand swords!”

”Where did you hear that urban legend? It’s not that exaggerated. I’m more optimistic about ’Flame Sword.’ He was a very talented ninja who was very active during the Third Great Ninja War.”

Many spectators in the audience were whispering and discussing the possible outcome of this duel.

In a corner near the duel area, Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenai, Genma Shiranui, and Guy were huddled together.

”Kakashi, who do you think has a higher chance of winning? I’m more optimistic about Uchiha Yusuke after seeing how he dealt with a few clan members at the teahouse,” Asuma said to Kakashi.

Genma Shiranui nodded, ”I agree with Asuma. I know Yusuke’s strength. He’s definitely an elite Jonin.”

Kakashi didn’t answer. He just quietly waited for the duel to begin. He couldn’t judge the outcome. It wasn’t easy to guess the result of a battle between ninjas of the same level.

In the eyes of Asuma, Genma, and the others, Yusuke was very strong and had an overwhelming advantage. But as one of the Third Hokage’s confidants, Kakashi had interacted with Shisui, who was an ANBU member. He vaguely knew how terrifying ”Shisui of the Body Flicker” was.

On the other side, in a dark corner, Orochimaru licked his lips with a snake-like tongue, excited, ”This is a truly exciting battle.” 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

”It’s about time. This duel will be hosted by me, Uchiha Fugaku. Now, please have the two duelers come to the center of the training ground,” Uchiha Fugaku, who was wearing a dark expression, said loudly as he entered the training ground.

After Shisui formally delivered the challenge letter to Yusuke, Fugaku had talked to Shisui twice, but he couldn’t persuade Shisui to give up the challenge.

In Fugaku’s view, this was just a way for the other Konoha clans to make fun of the Uchiha clan! But no matter how unwilling he was, as the clan leader of the Uchiha clan, he was the most suitable person to host this duel.

Yusuke and Shisui arrived at the center of the training ground, facing each other, about five meters apart. They stared at each other.

”Barrier Team, open the barrier! The duel officially begins!” Fugaku looked at Yusuke and Shisui with complex emotions, then announced loudly. At the same time, he left the training ground.

”If these two geniuses could get along and work together to help me revitalize the clan, then our Uchiha clan would definitely be able to regain its footing in Konoha,” Fugaku thought to himself.

Although Yusuke had reminded Fugaku about Shisui’s stance, Fugaku still trusted Shisui very much.

In Fugaku’s understanding, Shisui was just a representative of the clan’s moderates. He hoped to eliminate the conflict between the clan and the village and serve as a bridge between the clan and the village’s high-ranking officials. He didn’t believe that Shisui would disregard the clan’s interests and completely surrender to the village’s high-ranking officials.

On the training ground, Shisui activated his Sharingan and looked at Yusuke with burning eyes, ”Yusuke-senpai, I will be the victor of this duel. You are very strong, but you can’t defeat my ninja way and my determination!”

”Senpai, what is your ninja way!?”

Looking at Shisui, who was full of confidence, Yusuke said slowly, ”My ninja way? It’s not time for you to know yet.”

Hearing Yusuke’s answer, Shisui didn’t say anything more. His gaze suddenly became sharp.

”Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!”
