Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 21: NZNT: Chapter 21

Hearing Genma say that he was going on a secret mission, a glint of light flashed in Yusuke’s eyes. He picked up his teacup and took a sip, saying calmly, ”Is that so? What a pity.” Pity that I won’t be able to treat you to tea anymore.

Yusuke had invited Genma to tea, of course, with a purpose. He wanted to use Genma, the Fourth Hokage’s personal bodyguard, to determine the time of the Fourth Hokage’s wife, Kushina’s, childbirth.

”It seems that the Third and Fourth Hokage have already started making their preparations. Then, Naruto’s birth will be in the next few days,” Yusuke thought to himself.

Since he didn’t know the exact location where Kushina would give birth, Yusuke could only wait for the Nine-Tailed Fox to appear and then rush to the scene as quickly as possible.

In Yusuke’s plan, the ideal scenario would be to use the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style to reseal the Nine-Tailed Fox’s Yang Release chakra back into Kushina’s body, simultaneously preventing the Fourth Hokage from using the Shiki Fujin to seal the Nine-Tailed Fox’s Yin Release chakra, and then seal the Nine-Tailed Fox’s Yin Release chakra in his Two-Yi Seal.

Looking at Genma Shiranui in front of him, Yusuke couldn’t help but think of the Flying Thunder God Technique. If he could master this jutsu, things wouldn’t be so troublesome.

”I need to find a way to learn this forbidden jutsu when I get the chance,” Yusuke thought to himself.

Just as Yusuke was using Genma to obtain information about Naruto’s exact birth time, the Third Hokage, as well as Obito, who was about to attack, were also making their preparations.

Because Kushina, as the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox, would have a weakened seal when giving birth, there was a possibility of the Nine-Tailed Fox’s chakra leaking out or even breaking free from the seal. The Third and Fourth Hokage decided to set up a barrier at a secret location outside Konoha Village and have Kushina give birth inside the barrier.

At the same time, the Third Hokage arranged for his wife, Sarutobi Biwako, to be Kushina’s personal bodyguard and assigned many ANBU to guard the area around the barrier.

Meanwhile, at the Root base, Obito slowly appeared in front of Danzō in the form of a Kamui space vortex.

Seeing this unexpected visitor appearing in such a strange way, the ninjas guarding Danzō were shocked.

”Wood Release: Four Pillars Binding Technique.”

”Secret Technique: Spindle Technique.”

The two jutsu were performed by Root ninja A and an elite Jonin from the Aburame clan. A was the current Tenzo, who hadn’t yet left Root, and would later become Yamato.

Four wooden pillars rose up around Obito, restricting him. Then, thousands of black insects flew out of the Aburame clan Jonin’s sleeve, forming a spindle-shaped formation, spinning towards Obito.

However, to the surprise of Danzō and the Root ninjas, all the black insects passed right through Obito’s body. Obito walked forward a few steps, as if he were intangible, and passed through the Four Pillars Binding Technique formed by Wood Release.

”Who are you? What do you want from me?” Danzō asked, looking at Obito, whose abilities were strange.

”My identity isn’t important. What’s important is that we can have a win-win cooperation,” Obito said slowly.

Danzō snorted coldly, ”I won’t cooperate with someone of unknown origin. Unless you take off your mask and reveal your identity, it’s off the table.”

”Is that so? What a pity. I was hoping to talk to you about the Uchiha clan and the new Fourth Hokage. It seems like I won’t have that chance,” Obito said with a smile.

As he spoke, Obito activated his Kamui ability, slowly sucking himself into it. Obito deliberately slowed down the jutsu, hoping that Danzō would lose his patience and call out to him.

But if he left completely and Danzō didn’t say anything, it would mean that the negotiations had failed. However, Obito believed that Danzō’s personality would make him seize any opportunity to unite forces to strike down his opponents.

”Wait.” As expected, just as only Obito’s head was left in the air, Danzō suddenly stopped him.

A slight smile appeared at the corner of Obito’s masked mouth. It seemed that Danzō would cooperate with him this time!

Konoha, 48th year, October 10th, night.

A full moon hung high in the sky. On a mountain peak overlooking Konoha Village, a figure wearing a black cloak and a mask suddenly appeared.

”Tonight will be a night to remember.”

Meanwhile, in a secret base outside Konoha Village, where a barrier had been set up, Kushina was struggling to give birth. Assisting and caring for Kushina were the Third Hokage’s wife, Sarutobi Biwako, and another female medical ninja.

The Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, was beside himself with worry. But he couldn’t do anything. He could only hold Kushina’s hand, hoping to give her some mental strength.

After a painful process, Kushina finally gave birth to Naruto. At this time, Obito had already dealt with the ANBU guarding the barrier.

Looking at Naruto, who was still crying in Biwako’s arms, Kushina’s gaze was gentle, and her big eyes were filled with joyful tears. Minato was also excited, wiping his eyes with his arm.

Biwako smiled and showed Naruto to Kushina and Minato before preparing to take Naruto outside to give him a quick wash.

But before Minato and Kushina could say a few words, a scream came from the door, from Biwako and the other medical ninja.

Minato and Kushina turned to see that a person wearing a mask and a black cloak had appeared in the room. In his arms was the newborn Naruto!

”Fourth Hokage, get away from the jinchūriki.” Obito threatened Minato, holding Naruto in his right arm.

”Otherwise, this child’s life will only last a minute.”

Hearing Obito’s words, Minato felt like he had fallen into an ice cellar. Kushina, who had just finished giving birth, had a weakened seal controlling the Nine-Tailed Fox within her, and she needed his help to reseal it.

The Nine-Tailed Fox struggled within Kushina, and because of the weakened seal, the black cursed seal had spread from Kushina’s abdomen to her face.

”Ah!”

Hearing Kushina’s painful cry, Minato immediately looked at her with concern, forcing himself to calm down.

Seeing that Minato still didn’t leave Kushina’s side, Obito threatened him by taking out a kunai and holding it to Naruto’s neck.

Seeing that the enemy was about to harm Naruto, Minato hurriedly said, ”Wait, calm down first.”

Obito sneered, ”I’m calmer than ever.”

After saying this, Obito tossed Naruto high into the air.

Minato was shocked and immediately used the Body Flicker Technique to grab Naruto, but before he could be happy, he suddenly discovered that there were several lit explosive tags stuck beneath the swaddling cloth that Naruto was wrapped in.

In the blink of an eye, Minato immediately activated the Flying Thunder God Technique, teleporting to a location he had prepared beforehand. At the same time, he removed Naruto’s swaddling cloth, finally managing to protect Naruto before the explosive tags detonated.

However, because of this, Kushina, who was completely defenseless, was left unguarded. Obito used his spatial transfer ability to take her to a waterfall near Konoha Village.

Using a sealing jutsu, he hung Kushina with her arms spread out between two rock walls, about seven or eight meters apart. Obito looked at her calmly.

Although this woman was his former teacher and had been very kind to him, Obito no longer hesitated. When Rin was killed by Kakashi, there was no one left in the world who he cared about.

His Sharingan activated, and Obito, relying on his powerful dojutsu, directly controlled the Nine-Tailed Fox within Kushina, bypassing the seal. The Nine-Tailed Fox’s original fox eyes turned into Sharingan.

At this time, the seal controlling the Nine-Tailed Fox in Kushina’s body was getting weaker and weaker. Under Obito’s control, the Nine-Tailed Fox’s power erupted, finally breaking free from the seal that had been restricting it. It burst out of the seal on Kushina’s abdomen.

The Nine-Tailed Fox at this time was still in its complete form. It was much larger than the Nine-Tailed Fox in Naruto’s body in the original story. The Nine-Tailed Fox in Naruto’s body was only half the size of the complete Nine-Tailed Fox’s Yang Release chakra. The other half of the Nine-Tailed Fox’s Yin Release chakra was sealed inside the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, using the Shiki Fujin during this ”Nine-Tailed Fox Rampage” incident.

Under the full moon, the Nine-Tailed Fox roared, its nine tails, each dozens of meters long, swaying constantly.

Kushina, the jinchūriki who had been stripped of the Nine-Tailed Fox, was now even weaker. Obito canceled the sealing jutsu that was holding Kushina up, and she fell onto a rock below.

If it were an ordinary jinchūriki, she would have been dead by now. But Kushina was a member of the Uzumaki clan, known for their strong vitality. Moreover, Kushina was exceptionally talented, even among the Uzumaki clan. Therefore, although Kushina was weak, she didn’t show any signs of death.

”As expected of a member of the Uzumaki clan. Their vitality is truly tenacious,” Obito said slowly, looking at Kushina, who was still alive. He then controlled the Nine-Tailed Fox, and it swiped at Kushina, who was unable to move.

With a bang, the Nine-Tailed Fox’s powerful force kicked up a cloud of dust. At this moment, Kushina was caught in Minato’s arms, who had arrived in time using the Flying Thunder God Technique. It turned out that Minato had already placed a Flying Thunder God Technique seal on Kushina.

After rescuing Kushina, Minato immediately used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport back to where Naruto was, gently placing Kushina beside Naruto.

Looking at his wife and child on the bed, Minato clenched his fist.

”Minato, thank you. Be careful,” Kushina said softly. She knew that Minato, as the Fourth Hokage, had to return to the village to deal with the mysterious enemy.

Minato put on the white ceremonial robe of the Fourth Hokage from the closet. This would be his first battle as the Fourth Hokage, defending the village!

”I’ll be back soon!”

At this time, Konoha Village was peaceful. Although it was late, there were still many people on the bustling streets. No one noticed the approaching crisis.

Yusuke, who was sitting with his eyes closed in his home, suddenly felt a powerful and evil chakra appearing in the village.

”Here it comes!” Yusuke opened his eyes abruptly.

At this time, in a northern area of Konoha Village, a giant beast with nine tails and the appearance of a fox suddenly appeared. After appearing, the beast went on a rampage, destroying many buildings and killing many villagers in the chaos.

Looking at the Nine-Tailed Fox that Obito had summoned from afar, Yusuke activated the barrier he had set up in his home. After telling his family not to go outside, he went to the Uchiha clan’s plaza. In the face of such a major event, the Uchiha clan, as Konoha’s guard force, would definitely go to help.

At this time, the Uchiha clan ninjas had already gathered in the plaza of their clan’s residence, preparing to head to the front lines to deal with the Nine-Tailed Fox.

”All ninjas of the Uchiha clan, listen up! You must stay within the Uchiha clan’s territory tonight. No one is allowed to go out!”
