I Can Stock Up in the Game

Chapter 146: Chapter 106: Zhao Neng: President Zhang, I Beg You, Please Acquire It

Faced with the man’s furious expression, Zhao Neng quickly forced a smile and asked, ”Brother-in-law, what are you talking about?”

The only reason he had successfully contracted that land was by pulling strings through his brother-in-law, Zhu Tai. Given the man’s background, even if Zhu Tai spat right in his face, Zhao Neng wouldn’t dare get angry—not unless he wanted to stop doing business in You City altogether.

But Zhu Tai just viciously pulled out his phone and threw it in front of Zhao Neng. ”You still don’t know what’s going on? Look at this video!”

Zhao Neng immediately picked up the phone to watch. It was the video from that financial blogger, and his expression changed instantly.

He had been so focused on Li Yuan Farm that he hadn’t paid any attention to this video.

’What is wrong with this financial blogger? I didn’t even provoke him, so why would he post a video like this just to screw me over?’

”Now do you see how serious this is?” Zhu Tai demanded irritably.

’He was really starting to regret pulling strings with his uncle for Zhao Neng, all as a favor to his wife.’

Now, because of this video, his uncle was directly in the hot seat.

Zhao Neng knew exactly how severe the consequences would be with this kind of public backlash.

However, he quickly said, ”Brother-in-law, this damn financial blogger online is just capitalizing on the fact that Kailin Investment isn’t doing well right now. If we can build some momentum, everything he said will be nonsense. After all, we haven’t fundamentally been caught doing anything illegal.”

”Besides, Kailin Investment’s campsite project is ready to launch. This project will definitely be a huge success. Who says someone else can’t do the same kind of project? As long as I can deliver results, that’s all that matters.”

”You’re confident?” Zhu Tai asked with a frown.

”Brother-in-law, you still don’t trust me?” Zhao Neng asked with a smile.

”Zhao Neng, this is your last chance. Otherwise, you’d better figure out how to clean up this mess.” Zhu Tai finally nodded, gave his warning, and left.

Zhao Neng knew exactly what his brother-in-law meant.

’But if he failed to get results this time, he wouldn’t have the courage to keep going.’

’That Li Yuan Farm was just too damn strange. His plans were always perfect, yet he could never beat them. In all his years of doing business, he’d never encountered a situation like this.’

’So, this was his last shot.’

His assistant quickly prepared the plan and handed it to Zhao Neng.

”Get the promotional materials out immediately, and spend another million to boost traffic,” Zhao Neng ordered right after signing.

Before long, the promotion for Kailin Investment’s campsite was trending.

’Seeing how quickly it started trending, Zhao Neng knew the million yuan hadn’t been wasted.’

’Plenty of tourists should be booking their campsite by now, right?’

But his assistant rushed in. ”President Zhao, this is bad! Something’s wrong. Our promotional video is trending, but only three people have booked our campsite, and the reservation system has been quiet for half the day.”

”It’s trending, so how could this happen?” Zhao Neng couldn’t believe it.

The assistant quickly explained, ”President Zhao, it’s because Li Yuan Farm’s campsite also started its promotion!”

”If they’re promoting too, shouldn’t that drive more traffic our way?”

”They’re now limiting entry to only 5,000 tourists a day. On top of that, only tourists who have booked the campsite can purchase tickets for the Flower Sea and the Bamboo Maze!”

”What?” Hearing this, Zhao Neng hastily pulled out his phone and found Li Yuan Farm’s Tiao Yin account.

Sure enough, he saw their new video post:

Due to special circumstances, Li Yuan Farm will temporarily be limiting admission to 5,000 tourists per day. Furthermore, only tourists with campsite reservations will be eligible to purchase tickets for the Flower Sea and the Bamboo Maze...

”Are they crazy? They’re turning away money?” Zhao Neng’s expression turned incredibly ugly.

’Limiting it to 5,000 people a day meant they were simply turning away more than half of their potential tourists. How big of a loss was that?’

’At least several hundred thousand a day, right?’

’He never thought a small-capital enterprise like Li Yuan Farm would be willing to lose eight hundred just to cost the enemy a thousand.’

’But if that was the case, there wouldn’t be any spare tourists for him to attract.’

’So what was he supposed to do with his campsite?’

’It’s over.’

Zhao Neng realized that, given the unique online situation, he was about to face a very serious problem.

Li Yuan Farm’s latest announcement video was already trending, but it also led to many complaints from tourists:

”They’re only letting in 5,000 tourists now? I clicked to book as soon as I saw the promo video, and it told me they were already sold out.”

”I clicked to book as soon as I saw the video too, but I couldn’t get a spot either.”

”It seems like the online rumors about Li Yuan Farm being targeted are true. I just saw the promotion for Kailin Investment’s campsite too!” ℯℓ.

”I saw it too, but nobody is booking their campsite. They clearly want to go up against Li Yuan Farm but don’t have what it takes!”

”And that campsite is right next to Li Yuan Farm. If it weren’t for the dirty business people are talking about online, wouldn’t that land have been left for Li Yuan Farm to develop?”

”...”

Amid this heated discussion, the financial blogger’s video started gaining traction again, with even more people tagging the relevant departments in Ming City and Min Province.

This time, the relevant government department in Ming City had no choice but to issue a notice: Regarding the online discussions concerning You City, our department has taken notice and will conduct an investigation. We will provide a satisfactory explanation to the public!

As soon as this announcement was released, Lin Muxue saw it and rushed to find Zhang Lin. ”President Zhang, look at this announcement video from Ming City!”

Zhang Lin smiled after watching it. ”Looks like Kailin Investment is in for some trouble. By the way, how are things with our campsite?”

Lin Muxue explained, ”The 5,000 spots are fully booked. The first tourists should start arriving this afternoon.”

And just as Lin Muxue had predicted, the campsite welcomed its first batch of guests that afternoon.
