I Can Stock Up in the Game

Chapter 139: Chapter 103: What Happens When an Egg Hits a Stone?

Zhao Neng hurriedly shouted to his assistant, ”Quick, delete these comments.”

”Yes, President Zhao!” The assistant didn’t dare hesitate and immediately instructed his team to take care of it.

Li Yuan Farm, Network Operations Department.

Liu Qian immediately reported to Lin Muxue, ”Lin, they’ve started deleting comments.”

”Get more people on it. Let’s see how many they can delete.” Lin Muxue smiled. ”President Zhang approved 200,000. Take them down as soon as possible. He promised we could keep whatever is left over for our department’s activity fund.”

Her words fired up the girls in the department.

One of the girls said, ”Lin, I’ve already started pushing a new narrative—that Kailin Investment is censoring comments and deleting any that tell the truth. That should be enough to stir up public opinion.”

”Nice!” Lin Muxue nodded.

When she started promoting the Seven-Color Flower Sea, she had already noticed Kailin Investment’s own campaign. It was obvious they were trying to ride the coattails of Li Yuan Farm’s popularity. She was well aware of Kailin Investment, as their Flower Sea was located not far from Li Yuan Farm.

But their opponent’s tactics were too crude. Crucially, with such a massive gap in the quality of their flower seas, she didn’t need to be subtle. A direct, brute-force approach would suffice.

Tomorrow, she would just have some people shoot two sets of videos—one of Kailin Investment’s Flower Sea and one of the Seven-Color Flower Sea—and then make them go viral.

Let the facts speak for themselves.

To top it all off, their competitor had actually priced their tickets at 50 yuan.

What kind of low-grade flower sea dared to charge the same price as Li Yuan Farm’s rapeseed Flower Sea? That in itself would become another reason for them to be publicly ridiculed.

Most importantly, the fact that their competitor had gotten popular so quickly obviously meant they’d spent money on advertising. Now, all that money was just helping Li Yuan Farm gain even more traction.

Compared to Lin Muxue’s effortless moves, Zhao Neng was truly inexperienced. Seeing the comments appear, his only solution was to delete them one by one. But because of this, a new narrative began to spread: ”Kailin Investment Farm’s Flower Sea Is Worse Than the Competition, and They’re Censoring Comments to Stop People from Talking About It.”

”Why are there so many haters?” Zhao Neng’s face was grim as he scowled. ”Li Yuan Farm must have hired people to do this!”

He had guessed correctly. But when he furiously opened Li Yuan Farm’s social media account and saw their latest promotional video, his expression instantly turned ugly. ”Impossible! Absolutely impossible!”

The Flower Sea in the video was so stunning that even his own Meadow Sage Flower Sea, with heavy filters applied, couldn’t compare. In fact, compared to the authentic feel of their video, his filters and special effects just looked tacky.

”President Zhao, it looks like Li Yuan Farm has created another Flower Sea on the same level as their rapeseed one.” The assistant had also seen Li Yuan Farm’s promotion, his expression a mixture of awkwardness and embarrassment.

They had originally planned to go head-to-head with the other farm’s Flower Sea. They’d even tried to seize the initiative by spending a million yuan to drive traffic.

But to go head-to-head, you had to be on equal footing; at the very least, you couldn’t be so much weaker.

Now, it was like an egg trying to smash a rock. The worst part was, the egg had spent a million yuan inviting an audience to watch it get shattered.

Didn’t that mean their one million yuan was basically spent for their competitor’s benefit?

But that wasn’t even the worst of it.

New taunts were appearing in the comment section.

”Holy shit, Li Yuan Farm’s Flower Sea is obviously way more beautiful, and their tickets are only 30 yuan. You guys are charging 50!”

”What a rip-off. It’s clearly not as good, but it’s 20 yuan more expensive.”

”Does this Kailin Investment Farm think we’re all idiots?!”

”...”

Zhao Neng couldn’t believe what he was reading.

’How could they possibly be charging only 30 yuan? Impossible. If it were me, with a Flower Sea like that, I would absolutely stick to 50 yuan, or even charge more. Something’s wrong! Something is definitely wrong.’

’Could it be that their Flower Sea isn’t actually that good? Maybe the promotional video is just filters and special effects? Is that why they only dare to charge 30 yuan?’ Zhao Neng’s mind was in chaos, but this was the only hopeful explanation he could cling to. The more he thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. He immediately ordered his assistant, ”Book me a ticket for Li Yuan Farm’s Flower Sea. I’m going to see it for myself tomorrow!”

He said this, filled with desperate anticipation.
