I Can Stock Up in the Game

Chapter 106: Chapter 88: Dumbfounded! Recognition of Status

Several other bamboo craftsmen nodded in agreement.

”Same for me. So that’s the reason!”

”Yeah, now even when I’m home, all I can think about is the Bamboo Culture Park. I can’t wait to come to work here!”

”Doesn’t that mean Lin Haida is in for some bad luck? He won’t be able to make bamboo products as exquisite as he did at the Culture Park!”

”...”

Hearing what the craftsmen said, Zhao Han began to understand and felt relieved. ”So, you’re saying Lin Haida can’t make such exquisite bamboo products anymore?”

”He won’t even be as good as that Master Zhao,” Zhang Lin nodded.

Zhao Han trusted Zhang Lin, but he still pulled him aside to speak privately. ”Boss Zhang, we can’t just let Lin Haida get away with this little stunt. If we do, it’ll be harder to manage people in the future.”

Zhang Lin understood what Director Zhao meant. He smiled and said, ”That’s simple. Since he wants to live stream and become an influencer, we’ll just have one of our craftsmen from the Bamboo Culture Park stream at the same time. Then we’ll arrange for some paid commenters to stir up some drama and replicate what happened with that Master Zhao. I’ll have the farm’s operations department coordinate it!”

’If one Lin Haida gets the idea to become an influencer, who knows how many more will follow in the future? After all, the desire for fame and fortune can arise at any time.’

’Instead of waiting for that to happen, it’s better for the Bamboo Culture Park to cultivate one or two of our own bamboo craft influencers, sign them to the farm, and keep them under our control.’

So, after making this suggestion, he also gave Lin Muxue a call.

The call connected, and Lin Muxue’s voice came through first. ”President Zhang, I was just about to call and report something to you. The Bamboo Culture Park has been open for a few days now, and things are going great. I think it’s necessary for us to promote one or two bamboo craft influencers from here. It would be a great way to maintain our fame and reputation.”

”I’ve looked into it, and Lin Haida seems like a good candidate. He made an appearance during that previous live stream incident, so he’s already a familiar face to Li Yuan Farm’s audience. It would be easier to make him popular.”

Zhang Lin hadn’t expected his Senior Sister Lin to have already thought of this and even have a plan to promote Lin Haida.

’What a shame.’

”Senior Sister Lin, forget about Lin Haida. He’s already resigned...” Zhang Lin then told Lin Muxue what had happened at the Bamboo Culture Park.

”What? Does he think becoming an influencer is that simple? Can he really handle the internet?” Lin Muxue was clearly surprised.

It was the first time she had seen someone so short-sighted, getting a big head before even making a name for himself.

Zhang Lin instructed, ”Senior Sister, let’s not worry about him. You should come over to the Bamboo Culture Park. The other bamboo craftsmen haven’t left yet, so it’s the perfect time to get this done.”

”Okay, I’ll be right over!” Lin Muxue replied.

After finishing his chat with Zhang Lin, Zhao Han walked straight over to the group of bamboo craftsmen. He went up to Old Guo and asked, ”Master Guo, you said Lin Haida’s family learned their craft from your family, is that right?”

”Of course!” Old Guo said proudly. ”Not just his family. Many of the other craftsmen’s families definitely learned from mine. Back in the day, my grandfather had more than a dozen apprentices!”

”Alright, you’re the one, then. Come with me to see Boss Zhang!” Zhao Han said, leading Old Guo toward Zhang Lin.

Lin Qing, however, knew nothing about any of this.

She didn’t understand anything about bamboo crafts.

Lin Haida didn’t know either. For the past two days after work, he hadn’t been in the mood to study bamboo crafting at all. He was completely focused on learning how to be an influencer from his daughter. He hadn’t even tried making a single bamboo product after getting home.

After the father and daughter returned home, Lin Qing ordered a lavish spread of food to treat her father.

After a good meal, she had her father change into a Tang suit.

This was her specific idea.

’He’s carrying on a traditional craft, right? So he needs to look the part. A Tang suit can help with that.’

Afterward, Lin Haida was brought to a shop on Laid-off Street.

The place was originally a clothing store Lin Qing owned, but now it was set up with some bamboo crafting tools.

Soon, Lin Haida started his live stream. It actually attracted a fair number of viewers, thanks to Li Yuan Farm’s immense popularity.

”Isn’t that Master Lin!”

”I can’t believe Master Lin is streaming at night too!”

”This is a rare treat!”

”...”

Seeing this, Lin Qing wanted her father to say a few words, but Lin Haida was frozen in a daze.

He realized something felt wrong.

During his time at the Bamboo Culture Park, whenever he picked up his tools to make a bamboo product, he would get a special feeling. When that feeling came, his work was full of energy and went smoothly.

But now, holding the tools in his hands, he found he didn’t know where to begin.

Seeing her father wasn’t catching on, Lin Qing quickly chimed in, ”Welcome, everyone, to my dad’s stream! My dad isn’t a man of many words, but since this is his first stream, we’re giving away a special gift. The top three donors on the leaderboard today will each receive a free bamboo product.”

Of course, this was a clever little trick. It was a ”free” giveaway, but to get into the top three, you would definitely have to donate a significant amount.

Lin Haida, however, didn’t hear a word his daughter was saying. After he started working, his expression grew even worse. The special feeling was completely gone, and he had no idea why.

Meanwhile, on another channel, Li Yuan Farm had also started a live stream.

Regular fans weren’t surprised to see Li Yuan Farm streaming.

They had done agricultural support streams before.

But this time, viewers saw an old man working with bamboo. After reading the title, they realized it was a promotional stream for bamboo crafts. Nothing was for sale; instead, all the products made by the master craftsman during the stream would be given away to lucky viewers for free.

This move immediately showed their class.

Combined with Li Yuan Farm’s popularity, the number of concurrent viewers in the stream began to increase rapidly.
