I Can Stock Up in the Game

Chapter 126: Chapter 98: Incredible Effect! Office Center Completed

Upon hearing the long list of ingredients, Zhang Lin said straightforwardly, ”Senior Sister Lin, please take Zhang Yuan to buy these materials. I’ll reimburse you later. The kitchen is pressing the rapeseed oil as we speak. By the time you get back, Zhang Yuan should be able to start making the moisturizing cream.”

”Yes, President Zhang!” Lin Muxue nodded. With her orders, she immediately left the service center with Zhang Yuan and headed for You City.

After they got in the car, she noticed Zhang Yuan hesitating as if she wanted to say something. ”What is it?” she asked.

Zhang Yuan explained with a frown, ”Lin, this is the first I’ve ever heard of making moisturizing cream with rapeseed oil. No one’s ever tried it. To make it into a specialty product... it just seems a bit unreliable. But President Zhang looks like he’s made up his mind, so I didn’t dare say anything.”

Lin Muxue nodded. ”It was right not to say anything. We’re just in network operations. The boss wants to try something, so we should just do as he says. If it really doesn’t work, President Zhang isn’t an idiot. He’ll scrap the idea himself.”

”Besides, who’s to say it won’t work? What if this moisturizing cream turns out to be amazing?”

Zhang Yuan nodded.

Though she still felt uncertain, she decided not to dwell on it.

’We’ll find out if it works once we make it.’

The two arrived in town and went straight to the central shopping plaza. They bought all the necessary ingredients for the moisturizing cream and then returned to the farm, where they met up with Zhang Lin.

”The kitchen has finished pressing the rapeseed oil,” Zhang Lin told them as soon as he saw them. ”Zhang Yuan, you can head over there and start making the moisturizing cream.”

”Okay, Boss!” Zhang Yuan nodded and headed to the kitchen with the materials.

Curious, Zhang Lin and Lin Muxue followed her into the kitchen.

After all, neither of them had ever seen something like this made by hand before.

Following his instructions, Lin Nan had already set up a workstation for Zhang Yuan to prepare the cream. The freshly pressed rapeseed oil was waiting there as well.

Zhang Yuan set down the materials and got to work.

She laid out the necessary ingredients one by one on the counter.

First, she arranged the ingredients in the correct order. The next step was to combine them according to the formula’s specific ratios.

Once mixed, the ingredients were heated until they melted.

Zhang Lin and Lin Muxue watched the entire process from the sidelines, right up until Zhang Yuan poured out the mixture for the final step: cooling and setting.

”President Zhang, Lin,” Zhang Yuan explained, ”now we just have to let the cream cool down naturally. There’s nothing else to do.”

Zhang Lin nodded.

There were over ten pounds of the cooling moisturizing cream.

This meant that when Zhang Yuan used her method to turn the rapeseed oil into moisturizing cream, the yield ratio was roughly 1 to 10.

’But the question is, how effective will it be?’ he wondered. ’Presumably, the effect will be weaker than the pure oil.’

With this in mind, he instructed them, ”Senior Sister Lin, Zhang Yuan, once it’s cooled, you two test its effectiveness.”

Lin Muxue and Zhang Yuan both nodded.

’Even if President Zhang hadn’t said anything, we were going to try it anyway.’

「Time passed.」

Once the cream had almost finished cooling, Zhang Yuan scooped some out to inspect it. ”Lin, President Zhang,” she announced, ”the cream is fine. It’s ready to use.”

”Let’s give it a try then!” said Lin Muxue.

”Okay!” Zhang Yuan nodded.

’I made this myself,’ she thought. ’I want to see how this rapeseed oil cream turned out.’

The simplest and quickest way to test a cream’s moisturizing effect is to apply it to the back of one’s hand.

Lin Muxue and Zhang Yuan were, of course, familiar with this method. But as soon as they applied the cream, their eyes widened in unison with surprise.

As they spread it on their skin, they felt an unexpected cooling sensation.

It was very pleasant.

Most importantly, they discovered that its moisturizing effect was surprisingly good.

”Lin... this cream works really well!” Zhang Yuan said, her mouth slightly agape in disbelief.

”Yeah... it seems even better than the Lancome I’m using now.” Lin Muxue was completely taken aback. She knew President Zhang wouldn’t have them make a moisturizing cream for no reason, but these results were truly astonishing.

To be certain, she immediately pulled out her phone and made a call. ”Liu Qian, I need you all to come to the farm. Bring your own moisturizing creams. And grab the Lancome from my makeup bag, too.”

Over at Jinmao Tower, Liu Qian was leading her team on the post-production of a farm video. She was confused when she received the call.

But her boss had given an order, so she gathered the others, grabbed their creams, and headed out.

A short while later, Liu Qian and the other girls arrived at the farm by taxi.

As soon as they arrived, Lin Muxue instructed them, ”Try out the moisturizing cream Zhang Yuan made and compare it to the ones you’re using now.”

Liu Qian and the other women were even more confused.

’We know Zhang Yuan likes to make her own handcrafted things,’ they thought, ’but was it really necessary to call all of us out here for one of her creams? And to make us bring our own for comparison?’

’There’s no way a handmade product could compare to a brand-name one, right?’

Still, their boss, Lin Muxue, had given the order. One by one, they took some of the new cream and began to test it.

But as they tried it, the expressions on their faces began to change.

”This cream Zhang Yuan made is something else!”

”Yeah, I feel like it’s even better than what I normally use.”
