I Can Stock Up in the Game

Chapter 140: Chapter 104: Li Yuan Farm is About to Make Big Waves

”President Zhao, I’ve booked the tickets for the Seven-Color Flower Sea at Li Yuan Farm,” the assistant reported to Zhao Neng after a moment on their phone.

Zhao Neng nodded.

But as he looked at the overwhelmingly negative comments on the promotional video for his own flower sea, his expression grew increasingly grim.

”I regret buying a ticket for this flower sea.”

”To the person above: don’t regret it! Just go see both and film a comparison video!”

”Yeah, we can see both flower seas with our own eyes and decide which is better—the 30-yuan one or the 50-yuan one!”

”Then we can all come back and flame Kailin Investment.”

”...”

’One million yuan,’ he thought. ’What a complete waste.’

However, the assistant brought even worse news. ”President Zhao, ticket sales for our flower sea have stalled. Almost no one is booking anymore. At this rate, we’ll be lucky to sell 1,500 tickets tomorrow.”

”...” Zhao Neng no longer had the energy to react.

All he could do now was hope he was right.

’They must have priced their tickets so low, at just 30 yuan, because their flower sea isn’t actually that impressive.’

Time passed, and night fell.

Clinging to this hope, Zhao Neng lay awake all night.

He woke up the next day with dark circles under his eyes. After washing up, he rushed to the office, then set off with his assistant for Li Yuan Farm.

Given Li Yuan Farm’s popularity, a large crowd of tourists had already arrived early in the morning, all of them there for the Seven-Color Flower Sea.

Many of the tourists were eager to be the first to see the flower sea, wanting to film a video and upload it online, as if it were some great achievement.

While in the ticket line, Zhao Neng even spotted a female influencer livestreaming on her phone. ”As you can all see, I’m at the ticket gate now and about to see Li Yuan Farm’s Seven-Color Flower Sea! I came super early so I could be the first to share it with all of you. I’m in the very first group of people getting in!”

She was beaming as she spoke; being among the first to get in was clearly netting her a ton of online traffic.

Zhao Neng could only watch in envy. This was the scene he had envisioned for his own farm. But in reality, his Meadow Sage Flower Sea had only sold 1,678 tickets. Not only was the revenue not enough to break even, but employee salaries and other expenses were also a huge drain.

Once their tickets were checked, Zhao Neng and his assistant hurried toward the Seven-Color Flower Sea.

He was unbelievably tense, but he had to go in. Even if their flower sea was as beautiful as claimed, he needed to see it with his own eyes before he could accept defeat.

Finally.

The moment he stepped into the flower sea, all hope died.

He stood there, stunned speechless.

Even as their competitor, the moment he laid eyes on the scene before him, he felt his own Meadow Sage Flower Sea was a complete joke in comparison.

”He... H-How did he do it...?” Zhao Neng stammered.

His assistant, equally stunned by the sight, was incapable of answering.

’Everyone online said it was impossible to replicate the quality of Li Yuan Farm’s previous canola flower sea, but they’ve clearly done it again.’

’Are all those bloggers online frauds?’

’Everything they said was completely wrong.’

All around them, the other arriving tourists were just as shocked.

”It’s just as beautiful as it was in the promotional video! Li Yuan Farm didn’t use any filters!”

”After creating that amazing canola flower sea, I guess it’s not surprising they could pull off something like this too.”

”Yeah, I’m starting to really admire the owner of Li Yuan Farm.”

”...”

The female influencer was right next to Zhao Neng, her voice trembling with excitement. ”Fam, are you seeing this? This flower sea is breathtaking! I rushed over to be the first to share it with you. Next, I’m heading over to Kailin Investment Farm so we can all do a side-by-side comparison.”

Her words caught the attention of other tourists nearby. Someone whispered, ”I bought a ticket for the Kailin Investment flower sea too. I could also film a comparison video. It might get a lot of views.”

Hearing this, Zhao Neng’s heart, which had already died once, seemed to die all over again.

’There’s no avoiding it now.’

’Once these people start making comparisons, everyone will know their flower sea is inferior to Li Yuan Farm’s.’

”President Zhao, what should we do?” his assistant asked urgently.

Zhao Neng could only grit his teeth. ”Get back to the office and change the ticket price! They’re charging 30 yuan, so we’ll charge 15!”

The assistant opened their mouth as if to say something, but then thought better of it.

’At that price, there’s no way we’ll break even. We’ll still have to cover employee salaries... All this work for nothing, and we’ll even be losing money.’

’But they knew it was a desperate measure. Still, it was better than having no visitors at all.’

Zhao Neng and his assistant rushed back to the company. The moment they stepped into the office, an employee hurried over to report. ”President Zhao, our social media accounts are being flooded with complaints. Everyone is saying our flower sea is inferior to theirs, and they won’t stop complaining about our prices.”

The assistant quickly waved the employee away and, following Zhao Neng’s orders, began the process of lowering the price. The flower sea tickets were now 15 yuan.

Naturally, Li Yuan Farm learned of Kailin Investment’s move right away. Lin Muxue was the first to report the situation to Zhang Lin. ”They clearly don’t have anyone who understands online marketing. They’ve dropped their price to 15 yuan now, probably hoping that’ll salvage the situation!”

Zhang Lin naturally understood Zhao Neng’s intentions. He turned to Lin Muxue and asked, ”So, Muxue, what do you think we should do?”

Lin Muxue smiled and said, ”All we need to do is keep up the hype for our Seven-Color Flower Sea. As for Kailin Investment’s flower sea, it’s already a joke. Honestly, President Zhang, you don’t need to give it a second thought. Think of it this way: when a man goes to a foot massage parlor, he’s presented with two technicians—Number 66, who is beautiful, and Number 88, who is average. Which one is he going to choose?”

”Number 66, obviously,” Zhang Lin replied without a second thought.

Although he’d never actually been to a foot massage parlor, he knew that, as a man, picking the better-looking one was just common sense.
