Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

Fortunately, Yu Bao had its baseline agility to fall back on. This saved it from being taken out on the spot, and it successfully activated Desert Concealment to dodge.

After that, Yu Bao gave Meili no more chances. It used its Sand Manipulation Technique to ascend once more, alternating between Sandstorm, Furious Sand Blade, and Giant Fire Pillar. It finally forced Meili to collapse, unable to rise again.

Even though their Real-time Energy Values were similar, Yu Bao’s kiting strategy completely shut Meili down.

Generally, aerial Pet Beasts tend to be fragile and aren’t skilled at field control, which ground-based Pet Beasts often exploit to counter them.

However, Yu Bao just happened to have Thick Earth Blessing, a powerful Overlord Skill. Its Perception and control were also outstanding... It’s safe to say Meili was completely helpless, full of power it couldn’t use.

This time, Yu Bao had learned its lesson. It sent a clone down first to confirm that Meili wasn’t feigning defeat before finally landing.

The dog in question was filled with regret. Deep regret.

He had just wanted to show off, not expecting his opponent to be such a tough nut to crack—one that wouldn’t stay down.

Su Zhi: ”...”

’He’s truly earned the title of King Bi.’

’That was an evenly matched opponent, after all. You shouldn’t fool around if it’s not a complete steamroll.’

”So, it’s time for you to honor your promise...”

Su Zhi looked at Katie earnestly, only to find her staring at him with shining eyes.

”A Yu Dian Dog that unconventional... there’s no mistaking it! You must be God Su!”

”Huh? I... Do we know each other?”

”I watched all of your matches during the city league! I even sent supportive bullet comments in the livestream chat! I can’t believe I’m meeting you in the flesh! This is great!

”God Su, God Su! Can you give me an autograph, please!?”

’What does she mean, ”in the flesh”...?’ Su Zhi felt a bit exasperated as he took her pen and sun shirt, then scrawled his name on it.

’He remembered how his Old Ban had publicly shamed him for his terrible handwriting back in middle school. But ever since he’d gotten a bit of fame from the city league, that same messy script was now seen as ”full of character”...’

”Thank you, God Su~!”

”Don’t mention it. So, what kind of sand art would you like? You can tell Yu Bao what you want, and he can pretty much replicate it.”

”Woof!”

Hearing another chance to show off, Yu Bao immediately perked up.

”Oh, um, I haven’t decided yet... Let’s talk about it later! Hehe.”

Katie scratched her head, then turned to Liu Yuhang with a dazzling smile. ”Since you’re a friend of God Su, and he did win, I’ll keep my promise. I’ll give my reservation slot to you. So... are we still going to spar?”

”Of course.”

Liu Yuhang nodded, his expression serious, and gently placed Xue Li on the ground.

Katie tilted her head. It was as if she was surprised by his attitude, yet had also expected it. The amusement in her eyes intensified.

A light-green Light Array flashed, and a Hao Waterfowl appeared by her side—

[Pet Beast: Bilang (Hao Waterfowl)

Attribute: Water Element

Race: High Level Extraordinary

Real-time Energy Value: 2131]

”Quack!”

The moment the two Hao Waterfowl laid eyes on each other, their gazes clashing, the air crackled with tension.

The Hao Waterfowl is a Water Element, Strong Attack Type Pet Beast, known for its belligerent nature. A battle between two females, in particular, would be several times more intense than one between males!

”Then I’ll get things started. Bilang, use High-pressure Water Gun!”

”Xue Li, High-pressure Water Gun!”

Katie faltered for a second upon hearing Liu Yuhang give the same command almost in unison with her. Then, she licked her lips, intrigued.

’He wants to clash attacks?’

’This guy doesn’t seem too bright. In a direct clash of power, the one with the higher Real-time Energy Value obviously has the advantage.’

’Of course, a battle between two Strong Attack Type Pet Beasts would inevitably become a direct power clash sooner or later. Liu Yuhang getting straight to the point was, in a way, a sign of mutual understanding.’

’In that case, bring it on!’

BANG!

The two powerful currents crashed into each other, sending water flying everywhere.

Xue Li was struck by the aftershock. While it didn’t suffer any real energy loss, it was left looking a little worse for wear.

”Quack?” Having gained the upper hand, Bilang let out a smug, taunting cry.

”Quack!” Xue Li shook its head, undaunted, its eyes still shining with fighting spirit.

’This is nothing!’

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH—

The streams of water continued to clash and intertwine. After their initial probing exchange, both sides stopped holding back and began unleashing their strongest attack skills.

High-pressure Water Gun, Flowing Shield, Towering Waves, Strong Current Strangulation...

The exchange of attacks grew increasingly intense, and both sides’ energy consumption mounted. The sea surface, once as placid as a lake, was now disturbed, its calm broken by ripples from the constant spray.

The resident Beast Tamer stood motionless at the water’s edge, serving as the referee.

Shao Ya and Su Zhi sat side-by-side, watching from the sidelines.

Shao Ya nudged Su Zhi with her shoulder. ”What do you think, Su Baby?”

”If this keeps up, things could get difficult for Xue Li.”

Su Zhi was so engrossed in the match that he didn’t even notice her nickname for him. ”Xue Li’s Real-time Energy Value is a bit lower, after all,” he said. ”If they don’t adopt a more flexible strategy, it’ll be difficult to win a simple battle of attrition.”

Hearing this, the resident Beast Tamer couldn’t help but smile with a hint of pride.

Her niece gave off the air of a nimble genius, but she actually trained incredibly hard. The Beast Tamer was naturally delighted to hear such high praise coming from an opponent.

’Wasn’t this the highest form of praise for all of Katie’s hard work?’

”Difficult?” The young woman blinked. ”So you’re saying there’s still a chance to win!”

”Of course.”

Su Zhi looked at that figure from behind.

His gaze held anticipation, certainty, and admiration. The only thing it lacked was any doubt about who would win.

He didn’t have a specific reason; it was just his intuition as a Beast Tamer—

Liu Yuhang and Xue Li would definitely win.

SPLASH...

Another torrent of water crashed.

The water lost its momentum and broke into spray, mingling with the waves on the shore.
