You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

293: Section 293On the day Penguin Bike and Ali Bike launched, their deposit-free riding plans immediately climbed to the top of the weibo hot search!

The title of this hot search was just a short sentence:

”Deposit-free riding bikes are here!”

Because Hello Bike previously always required a deposit, and the deposit was not cheap, costing two hundred yuan, many students sometimes truly couldn’t afford the deposit money.

Therefore,

the idea of deposit-free shared bike riding had actually been mentioned by many people as early as when shared bikes were developing.

Previously,

some internet practitioners had also analyzed that shared bikes, in the end, would definitely be able to offer deposit-free riding.

All shared bikes that required a deposit would not survive.

So, when Penguin and Ali entered the market, many users were actually looking forward to it.

And countless comments were attracted under this Weibo post.

”It’s finally here! I can finally ride without a deposit.”

”Hurry up, you two big companies, why are there only a dozen or so cities in the first batch? It’s not enough, I don’t have it here yet.”

”The person upstairs is right. The total number of cities where you two have launched shared bike services is less than one-tenth of Hello Bike’s cities. It’s too few.”

”I’ve already refunded my Hello Bike deposit; I’m just waiting for you guys.”

At this moment, the biggest problem for Penguin Bike and Ali Bike was the limited number of cities where their services were available.

In most cities, their two bikes were not present.

But everyone believed that once Ali Bike and Penguin Bike were fully rolled out in major cities, other shared bikes that couldn’t offer deposit-free riding would likely suffer a devastating blow.

In the first batch of cities where Ali Bike and Penguin Bike launched their services, the usage rate of other bikes requiring a deposit had basically dropped to its lowest.

And at this time,

with the official entry of Ali and Penguin,

everyone wanted to see what moves Hello Bike would make.

After all, at present,

Hello Bike was still the only leader in the shared bike sector, holding over ninety percent of the market share.

If Hello Bike made no moves after Penguin and Ali entered the market, then the only option left for it would be bankruptcy.

So, Hello Bike would definitely make a move.

However, Hello Bike’s actions far exceeded everyone’s imagination.

On the very day Penguin and Ali officially entered the market,

Hello Bike began to furiously expand its city services and increase the number of bikes.

On the second day,

many users woke up to find that the number of cities where Hello Bike was available had increased by dozens almost overnight. This terrifying speed of increase was something that Ali and Penguin Group could not achieve at present.

Upon seeing this information for the first time,

many users thought there must be a system error.

After all, to launch bike services in a city, that city would need at least tens of thousands of bikes; this was just the minimum, and larger cities required even more bikes.

And overnight,

to have dozens of cities simultaneously add at least tens of thousands of bikes,

such a large-scale, comprehensive deployment would probably be difficult even for Penguin and Ali.

The key was that this happened in just one night.

Therefore, at first,

many users didn’t believe it after seeing this information, but soon someone discovered that there were indeed a large number of shared bikes in these newly launched Hello Bike service cities!

This was not a software glitch; it was real!

Hello Bike truly increased its service cities by dozens overnight!

Just as many internet users were shocked by Hello’s big move, Hello Bike’s furious deployment continued!

Previously,

Wang Mo had already built two million bikes capable of supporting the operation of the entire Yan Country’s shared bike system, and these bikes had already been proportionally distributed to warehouses in major cities.

Previously,

due to the need for a low profile, the bikes in these warehouses were not deployed immediately.

But now,

with Penguin and Ali officially entering the market, Hello Bike no longer had any need to hide, so it truly began its furious nationwide deployment of bikes.

In the following days,

Hello Bike’s deployment speed not only did not slow down but even accelerated.

Half a month later,

when Penguin Bike and Ali Bike had just completed their third batch of bike deployments, Hello Bike’s city coverage had already reached ninety percent!

At this moment,

Hello Bike’s presence could be seen in almost all cities and large towns across the country.

Regarding the sudden explosion in Hello Bike’s numbers in a short period,

many internet users and practitioners were equally shocked.

Because Hello Bike’s actions required a massive amount of capital, and even required planning a long time in advance; otherwise, Hello Bike couldn’t have achieved this.

For a small company like Hello Company,

the source of such a large sum of money was unknown to the outside world.

Moreover, even if Hello Bike occupied the entire Yan Country market in advance, if they didn’t offer deposit-free riding, then once Penguin and Ali entered the market, Hello would still not be able to compete with Penguin and Ali.

Therefore, the outside world found Hello Bike’s current actions very difficult to understand.

Furthermore,

on the second day after Hello Bike’s city coverage reached ninety percent,

a rumor suddenly circulated that Hello Bike’s funds were entirely misappropriated user deposits, and that user deposits could no longer be refunded.

After this rumor appeared,

Hello users’ trust in Hello Company began to plummet rapidly.

Everyone wondered how Hello Company could respond.

Chapter Two Hundred and Eighteen: The Method to Defeat Rumors, Revealing True Fangs.

Modu.

Outside a university campus.

On a very common downhill road section.

”Brakes! Which one is the brake? I can’t stop!”

”Oh my god, come help me!”

Lao San’s terrified voice erupted from a shared bike.

At this moment, Lao San was riding a shared bike and accelerating wildly down a downhill section.

And behind him,

Lao Da and Lao Er were riding their bikes, constantly chasing Lao San.

Originally, Lao San had never known how to ride a bicycle and wanted to learn, but he never had a good time or opportunity, as he didn’t own a bicycle.

But not long ago,

Hello Bike suddenly launched its services in Modu overnight, which happened to give Lao San an opportunity to learn to ride.

So, on this day,
