You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

262: Section 262This number is already quite, quite exaggerated.

Moreover, the moment Meituan’s total daily active users reached 45 million, it directly indicated that they had already failed in the group buying battlefield and would find it difficult to catch up to Meituan.

The focus for the future.

Should be on the Takeaway battlefield.

Chapter 187: Ma’s Choice, Full-Throttle Assault on the Takeaway Battlefield!

After Meituan announced its latest complete daily active user results.

Penguin Group.

Inside a certain conference room.

After just learning of Meituan’s true performance, Ma immediately convened all the senior executives of Penguin Group Buying to discuss the subsequent countermeasures.

After all, the potential of Meituan Select truly far exceeded everyone’s imagination.

With the Meituan Select feature.

Their Penguin Group Buying had fallen too far behind.

Upon hearing this news.

Everyone in the room looked displeased.

At this moment.

Looking at the silent people in the room, Ma slowly spoke.

“Is there anything you want to say?”

After a moment of silence, Li Wenqiu was the first to speak.

“We still underestimated the potential of community group buying. The positive impact this feature has brought to Meituan is probably no less than that of the Takeaway feature.”

“Before.”

“Meituan didn’t launch this feature immediately, perhaps because they were preparing in advance.”

“Furthermore.”

“This should also explain why Meituan’s initial offensive direction was in the Lower-Tier Market.”

Listening to Li Wenqiu’s last sentence, someone in the room was puzzled.

“Is Meituan Select related to Meituan’s initial offensive direction?”

Facing this person’s question, Li Wenqiu nodded.

“Residents in Lower-Tier Market will use community group buying more frequently.”

“It can even be said that over eighty percent of users who use community group buying are not in first or second-tier cities.”

“This is related to the pace of life in different levels of cities.”

“The pace of life in first and second-tier cities is generally faster, and there aren’t too many young users who cook for themselves, whereas this number is much more exaggerated in the Lower-Tier Market.”

“This is also a key reason why the Meituan Select feature has achieved such great success.”

Li Wenqiu paused.

“If Meituan had initially promoted and advertised the Select feature in first and second-tier cities, then the effect of this feature would not have been very good.”

After Li Wenqiu finished speaking, many people present changed their expressions again.

Few of them had thought.

It turned out that Meituan’s initial offensive direction was also related to the Meituan Select feature that would be launched later.

And after Li Wenqiu finished speaking.

Ma Liuyun, who was beside him, seemed to have thought of something as well, and after frowning, slowly spoke.

“This also explains why Meituan hasn’t invested much in the Takeaway sector until now.”

Ma Liuyun looked at everyone.

“Because users in the Lower-Tier Market actually don’t use the Takeaway feature very frequently, but rather use the Select feature more often.”

“And the usage habits of users in first and second-tier cities are just the opposite of those in the Lower-Tier Market.”

“Since Meituan had already decided to open up the market through the Lower-Tier Market, it naturally temporarily slowed down the layout of the Takeaway feature.”

“If Meituan’s initial decision was to launch in first and second-tier cities.”

“Then now.”

Ma Liuyun took a deep breath.

“Perhaps Meituan Takeaway’s market share would not be much lower than Ele.me’s.”

After Ma Liuyun finished speaking, many people in the room suddenly felt enlightened.

They just realized.

It turned out that after Wang Mo decided on the offensive direction, all subsequent actions revolved around the Lower-Tier Market.

But they.

Only realized it at this moment.

Just after Ma Liuyun finished speaking, Ma’s voice rang out again.

“Even if we exclude the number of Meituan Select users, the daily active users of Meituan’s group buying feature are not less than ours.”

“And most of our current users come from first and second-tier cities, while Meituan is just the opposite of us.”

“And a few days ago.”

“Before Meituan announced its latest daily active users, we discovered a situation.”

“At that time, because none of us thought the Select feature could succeed, we didn’t pay much attention to this situation, but from now on, this situation is also quite dangerous.”

Hearing Ma say this, everyone became serious.

Because most people in the room still didn’t know what Ma was talking about.

Ma glanced at Zheng Haidi, and Zheng Haidi also spoke to explain for Ma.

“We discovered before.”

“Although Meituan did not heavily promote in first and second-tier cities, with the passage of time, the number of Meituan users and merchants in first and second-tier cities is also increasing at an exaggerated rate.”

“Now Meituan’s reputation has been established, and a solid user base is beginning to surround first and second-tier cities from the Lower-Tier Market.”

“Although currently.”

Zheng Haidi’s expression was also quite serious.

···········Please give flowers

“In first and second-tier cities, Meituan’s number of both merchants and users cannot surpass ours.”

“But judging from Meituan’s current user growth rate, this is only a matter of time.”

After Zheng Haidi finished speaking.

Everyone present looked even worse.

This kind of ’rural surrounding urban areas’ internet case has actually happened many times.

No one expected that this tactic could also succeed in the group buying sector.

The most crucial thing is.

Meituan has already achieved such results without heavily promoting in first and second-tier cities.

If Meituan changes its promotion direction, can they hold on?

“The user groups of Meituan Select and group buying overlap. We cannot stop the development and operation of Meituan Select, which means we cannot stop the increase in Meituan’s group buying users.”

....

“So the moment Meituan Select succeeded, in the group buying sector, we were actually destined not to be Meituan’s opponent.”

Ma’s voice also rang out again.

After he finished speaking, the room fell silent.

“In the group buying market, we should still be evenly matched with Meituan, with similar numbers of group buying users. Couldn’t we just hold onto the group buying battlefield in first and second-tier cities?”

Someone in the room said.

But Ma directly shook his head.

“With the existence of the Meituan Select feature, Meituan can impact first and second-tier cities without any worries. Although there are fewer users using the Select feature in first and second-tier cities than in the Lower-Tier Market, they are not non-existent.”

“We have almost no good way to hold onto the group buying battlefield in first and second-tier cities, unless we spend a lot of money, but that would result in losses that are too large and would take a long time to recover.”

Upon hearing this.

The person who had just spoken couldn’t help but click his tongue.
