Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 144: Chapter 144: Azshara Mountain Fortress

He felt a sharp pain erupting from his back!

Two damages appeared one after the other above his head.

He turned his head, only to catch a fleeting shadow, making him wonder if it was just an illusion.

But the wound on his back was bleeding profusely, proving it was all real.

Zong Shen stood calmly in place, facing the Tree-man’s interception.

He seemed not at all worried that Sangui Yingshu could escape.

”Damn...damn it...”

Sangui Yingshu was in too much pain to speak.

His limited vocabulary left him only knowing how to say damn and curse.

A figure in black tight clothing slowly emerged; it was Tiezhu, who had entered the woods ahead during the ascent!

He was the surprise force Zong Shen had arranged.

”Idiot! You think you’re the only one with an assassin?”

Zong Shen raised his shield to deflect the Tree-man’s swing and drew his sword to cut down its branch.

Not far away, Tiezhu fiercely stabbed forward with his dual daggers again.

”Black Shadow!”

At this moment, Sangui Yingshu only had half of his Life Value left.

He used another skill.

A mass of shadow exploded on the spot.

His figure vanished once again.

However, two conspicuous bloodstains were left on the ground.

Tiezhu pursued with daggers in hand.

Zong Shen was close to taking down the Tree-man.

The Tree-men had 500 Life Value but low Armor.

Behind them, all Sangui Yingshu’s subordinates were entangled by Zong Shen’s soldiers.

And gradually, they were losing ground.

Neither assassins nor Dragon-kin Rangers were strong in direct confrontations.

They required maneuverability and space to roam.

But now, they clearly could not maintain a roaming state.

They had to deal with the entanglement of the Wolf Cavalry and also endure long-range Magic from the Water Mages.

The Gun and Shield Warriors had even slung their shields on their backs.

These nearly two-meter tall men wielded long spears over two meters long, eyeing opportunities to thrust maliciously.

With a white spear in, a red spear out, one careless move resulted in a bloody hole.

In such a passive state, they couldn’t possibly rescue Sangui Yingshu.

In the forest, Zong Shen and his team eliminated three Tree-men as Tiezhu chased Sangui Yingshu into the depths of the woods.

The northern mountain range was vast; Zong Shen had only explored two outer locations.

This section of the mountain range was once part of Azshara’s outskirts, the highlands outside the city.

Azshara’s city body used the Burial Ground and city wall relics as a boundary.

Most city relics were in the grassland area.

However, when Azshara fell, the Alliance reinforcements came from the north over the mountains.

Thus, the Blood Burning Legion set the Burial Ground spanning over a hundred kilometers beside the mountains to deter the Alliance Legion’s counterattack.

On the Burial Ground, the Elf Race’s War Ancient Trees couldn’t root, and other allied forces couldn’t construct war buildings there.

So, scattered within this mountain range were relics like temples, outposts, mines, garrison camps, and Alliance army settlements.

There was even a legend that the Alliance army once built extensive tunnels and underground dark fortresses in the forward mountain range.

However, Zong Shen didn’t know these details yet.

He led two Wolf Cavalry in a mad pursuit; even without the leftover bloodstains, he could still precisely find the chase direction.

Because the golden arrow always guided him.

After several minutes of traversing, they had crossed the mountain’s peak to its summit.

Following the arrow, they found a place filled with exposed rocky surfaces.

Within the rocks was a medium-sized, well-hidden cave entrance; without the arrow’s guidance, it would be hard to notice the cave entrance recessed into the rocks.

A smear of blood remained at the entrance; inside, there was a narrow rectangular passage.

Barely wide enough for Wolf Cavalry to pass through.

The walls on both sides of the passage were very smooth, showing signs of artificial cutting.

The top had stones that glowed with a milky-white light, illuminating the passageway.

After traversing for about five or six minutes, they arrived in a hall stacked with huge wooden crates, around five meters high.

The ground was littered with various abandoned building debris and damaged equipment.

Broken arrows, bladed axes, shattered armor, and dented helmets were strewn everywhere.

Even the rock walls of the hall bore significant marks.

Circular holes from Powerful Arrows and long gashes hacked by swords or axes attested to the intense battle here in the past.

Strangely, no bodies were found here.

It seemed the place had been specially cleaned after the great battle.

Each large wooden crate was inscribed with bright red runes; most crates had been opened.

It’s unclear what was once stored inside these crates.

At the back of the hall stood a tall, thick Rune Gate.

Though mottled, the gate itself remained intact.

The runes on it, although slightly damaged, continued to emit a glow.

In the hall, there was one relatively intact large wooden crate left; this crate was tilted, and there was a fist-sized hole in the middle.

At this moment, Sangui Yingshu leaned against the large wooden crate, with Tiezhu looking for an opportunity to attack from the front.

”What is this place?”

Zong Shen wondered in his mind.

(Azshara Mountain Fortress, this is just a small part of the dark fortress; it is interconnected, with branches even linking to mines and Azshara’s sewers and many Alliance secret strongholds. However, many branches have collapsed.)

This was indeed another relic.

The Azshara Mountain Fortress, built by the Alliance reinforcements in the past.

At this moment, Sangui Yingshu was fighting with Tiezhu using his dual swords.

Seeing Zong Shen’s arrival, a look of despair appeared on his face.

He no longer drew his swords against Tiezhu, enduring a dagger before swinging his sword against the large wooden crate behind him.

After two or three consecutive slashes, he managed to cut a large gap in the already damaged crate.

He then took out a Basic Magic Energy Stone and shoved it hastily into the crate.

Tiezhu took the opportunity to stab him in the chest once more.

His Life Value dropped to one-third, his armor soaked entirely in blood, making him look like a fiend from a Blood Pool.

The two Wolf Cavalry and Zong Shen charged over quickly; his death seemed inevitable now!

Creepily, all fear vanished from his face, replaced by a maniacal smile.

”Die!”

”Bang!”

As soon as he finished speaking, the large wooden crate behind him exploded!

A massive metal fist thrust out violently, shattering the wooden crate!

A five-meter-tall giant figure slowly stood up from the toppled crate!

The silver-gray metal shell reflected cold shadows under the glow of the overhead stones!
