Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Mysterious Burrow, Early Preparation

He once passed through the northern part of the territory.

He even traveled all the way north to reach that mountain area.

Along the way, it was all flat grassland, with excellent visibility, and he didn’t notice the existence of any burrows at that time.

So what’s the story behind this suddenly emerged burrow?

Filled with doubt, Zong Shen followed Wenresa to a place not far from the territory.

It used to be an ordinary grassland here.

But now the ground was raised, forming a small mound.

This small mound was about forty or fifty meters high, with a hole about ten meters in diameter on the side facing the territory, slanting down into the ground.

The hole’s entrance was covered by a black light barrier.

There was also a countdown timer on the light barrier, ticking away constantly.

[5 hours, 21 minutes, 17 seconds]

This time coincides with the end of the newbie stage.

It definitely can’t be a coincidence.

Zong Shen reached out to touch the light barrier.

But it felt like he was touching a wall; it was indeed a separating barrier.

”What’s going on?”

Zong Shen began asking the strategy guide.

(The unopened burrow will activate and open when the countdown ends and the newbie stage concludes, and the world rules for Lords will be altered simultaneously, entering a new phase.

Each area will randomly refresh 1,000 burrows.

Inside the burrows, Burrow Monsters and Undead Race monsters will randomly and continuously appear, and their level and strength will slowly increase as time progresses. They won’t affect Indigenous People but will wander around until attracted by nearby territories and Lords.)

”Damn, causing trouble!”

Zong Shen couldn’t help but curse.

This thing is a small gift prepared for the end of the newbie stage!

After the peaceful three-day newbie stage, the first small climax is coming.

To give those Lords who have just gained a foothold in this world a ”surprise.”

”Wenresa, head back immediately and have San Pang bring a few farmers over, along with 500 wood, 500 flax, 100 stones, 50 iron, and 8 Basic Elemental Crystals.”

Zong Shen dismounted from Pigsy’s back,

and observed the location of this burrow.

Then he opened [Construction].

On both sides of the burrow’s exit, he placed two [Tier One City Walls], forming a twenty-meter-long corridor.

Buildings can be placed outside the territory, but outside buildings are considered illegal structures. Unless the territory range expands over them, they cannot be relocated or upgraded.

These walls on both sides could restrict the movement of Burrow Monsters.

Next, he surrounded the exit with five or six [Tier One Grass Huts], leaving only two gaps just wide enough for one person to pass through.

Then, he retreated three or four hundred meters and placed a [Tier One Elemental Arrow Tower], similarly surrounding it with four or five grass huts.

Besides, he added [Tier One Spike Barrier] to all the buildings.

In front of the burrow exit, he set up more than ten [Tier One Earth Spike Traps].

Rather than sitting and waiting for the Burrow Monsters to run around impacting the development of the territory,

it was better to proactively set it up. This position wasn’t far from the territory and could be turned into a forward position for targeted interception.

Let soldiers block the front exit to attract hate value, so the walls on the sides wouldn’t be attacked first.

”How many burrows are there within five kilometers of the territory?”

Zong Shen started actively asking.

(There are 2 burrows, the other is located 4.7 kilometers to the west of the territory, with a grove in between.)

Golden subtitles appeared, and Zong Shen’s heart instantly had a plan.

The number of Lords far exceeds the number of burrows.

The rest is just about strengthening the internal defense.

As for this burrow, Zong Shen had already decided to solo it.

With the current strength of the territory, it is entirely doable.

Half an hour later, Wenresa arrived with San Pang and five or six farmers.

”I’ve placed the buildings, so let’s start construction now.”

The resources Wenresa brought were just enough to meet the construction requirements.

Zong Shen gestured broadly, immediately having them begin construction.

”Wenresa, your task is to garrison here. I’ll allocate a unit of soldiers to you.”

”When the countdown ends, the barrier will vanish, and the burrow will open. Please lead your soldiers to eliminate any monsters that might appear in the burrow!”

Next, he handed over the communication crystal numbered ”5” to Wenresa.

There were a total of five communication crystals: No. 1 was in his hand, No. 2 with San Pang, No. 3 with Wolf Cavalry Korby, and No. 4 given to Tiezhu.

After arranging the layout outside the burrow, Zong Shen rode Pigsy and quickly returned to the territory.

First, he retrieved all the resources listed overnight in the [Market].

After a night’s time, all items had been sold out.

Zong Shen extracted 12 Basic Wood Runes, 400 wood, 600 flax, and 2 Basic Fire Runes.

Then, he began to extensively trade for crossbow arrows and arrows, exchanging the surplus unprocessed meat for dozens of sets of arrows and crossbow arrows.

He only kept enough food to supply the entire camp for about five days.

In fact, roasted meat only had a shelf life of about five days.

If this food wasn’t used to exchange for arrows and crossbow arrows, it would spoil sooner or later.

He then placed three pieces of good-quality green equipment and two [Moon Holy Water] for exchange for various basic resources.

The opening of the burrow is bound to impact resource gathering.

Before most people realize it, Zong Shen wants to stockpile as many resources as possible.

Zong Shen opened the storage box and began to check the various resource stocks.

[Wood × 1352]

[Stone × 615]

[Iron × 687]

[Flax × 1417]

[Copper × 140]

[Secret Silver × 69]

[Refined Gold × 2]

[Basic Elemental Crystal × 72]

[Basic-level Magic Energy Crystal × 43]

”That’s enough!”

He first went to the Crystal Tower and made two more communication crystals numbered 6 and 7 for backup.

Next, he went to the northern area of the camp where a forty-meter wall was constructed yesterday.

Golden lines and shadow outlines appeared in front of his eyes.

Helping him adjust the placement of the walls.

Zong Shen placed ten more segments of the wall in one go, extending the total length to 140 meters.

Then he moved to the west of the territory and, with the help of the golden lines for calibration, placed ten more wall segments, forming a one-hundred-meter wall defense line.

Next, outside the west side of the small courtyard, he placed the remaining [Tier One Elemental Arrow Tower].

Their purpose was quite clear.

Considering the arrow tower had a five-hundred-meter protective radius, it could cover some other directions too.

Then, he placed four Basic-Level Fertile Lands next to the old ones and handed the seeds bought from the market last night to the female farmer in charge of the fields.

At this moment, almost all the farmers within the territory were mobilized, participating in the construction. A new wave of construction frenzy had officially begun!
