Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2085: Chapter 2085: I’m Already Beyond Cure

Less than two years left.

She hadn’t even reached thirty and was about to die; she truly couldn’t reconcile with it.

Ruan Tianling also felt that life was too short.

He held her tightly and said, ”It’s okay, no matter how short it is, I’ll always be with you.”

Jian Yufei felt even more distressed inside.

She was gradually letting him accept the fact that her illness couldn’t be cured, with the intention of helping him face life and death, so when she passed away, he wouldn’t be too grief-stricken and follow her underground.

But he still hadn’t given up on the idea of living and dying together with her.

This thought of his was still very resolute.

If she died, was he really going to follow and die too?

She didn’t need him to die for love, she didn’t need it at all!

”Ruan Tianling, do you know what my greatest wish is?” Jian Yufei looked up and asked him.

”What?”

”My greatest wish is to see the scene of a house full of children and grandchildren. I want to know what kind of wife Ansel and Junqi will marry, how many children they’ll have, and what the children will look like. I even greedily want to see the grandchildren settle down and build their careers. This is my biggest wish, and if it can’t be fulfilled, it would be very regrettable and painful for me. I’d feel like my life was lived in vain.”

Ruan Tianling’s throat moved nervously.

He had no confidence in helping her fulfill this wish.

Jian Yufei smiled and said, ”So, if I should unfortunately die, you must fulfill my wish, then come find me. I’ll be waiting for you below, across Naihe Bridge, waiting for you to describe the scene of a house full of children and grandchildren to me, okay?”

”Why would you say such a thing?! Your illness can be cured, why do you hold onto such a fatalistic mindset?!” Ruan Tianling asked with a dark expression.

Did she know something?

Jian Yufei’s expression remained normal; ”I’m just saying if, in case my illness can’t be cured, I need to tell you my last wish in advance.”

”Last wish?!” Ruan Tianling’s expression became even more terrifying, ”Jian Yufei, if you dare to tell me your last wish, aren’t you afraid I’ll let you fulfill mine first?!”

”Your last wish?” Jian Yufei was stunned.

”Yes, if I die first, you’ll have to fulfill my last wish!”

Jian Yufei’s expression changed: ”Don’t talk nonsense! How can you say such things?”

”You’re allowed to talk nonsense, but I’m not allowed to?!” Ruan Tianling felt very angry, the thought of her dying made him feel so desperate.

More desperate than the end of the world.

”Jian Yufei, I’m telling you, my last wish is the same as yours! I’ll be waiting for you below, waiting for you to describe the scene of a house full of children and grandchildren to me!”

”...”

”And, I will definitely die before you do! I dare you to die with the regret of not fulfilling my wish!”

”... You promised me you would die after me.”

”And you promised me you would grow old with me!”

Anyway, since she wouldn’t keep her promise, he wouldn’t keep his either.

Jian Yufei felt a headache coming: ”Ruan Tianling, please don’t be capricious, and don’t make a fuss, okay? The one who’s ill is me, not you.”

”I’m sick too, don’t you know? I’m already beyond saving.” Ruan Tianling’s eyes were vacant, like dead ashes.

Jian Yufei was startled: ”What’s wrong with you?”

Ruan Tianling pulled her hand over and placed it on his heart.

”This place no longer belongs to me. If you leave, it will leave too; without it, I would surely die.”

Jian Yufei’s pupils contracted, her eyes widened—
