Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2067: Chapter 2067: Driving You for Free

Ruan Tianling said firmly, ”It will definitely come true. Until the last moment, I will never give up.”

Jian Yufei was moved by him, and she nodded too, ”Alright, we’ll persevere, no one will give up.”

Ruan Tianling’s throat moved, and he covered her body once more as passion erupted again.

...

A night passed, and Li Mingxi barely slept.

She woke up the next morning with dark circles under her eyes.

After applying some makeup to look better, she grabbed her handbag and headed out the door.

When she reached downstairs, she was surprised to see Xiao Lang’s car parked not far away.

Seeing her, Xiao Lang got out of the car and came over, naturally taking her handbag, ”Get in the car, I’ll drive you to work.”

”No need, I have a car.” Li Mingxi tried to take back her handbag, but Xiao Lang evaded her hand and smiled, ”I have nothing to do anyway, so I can be your free chauffeur. I’ll pick you up and drop you off to work every day.”

”I like driving myself.” Li Mingxi retorted.

”Drive my car, don’t you really like this model?”

”I don’t like it anymore.”

”Then what kind of car do you like?”

Li Mingxi said impatiently, ”I don’t need to tell you, just give me back the bag quickly, I’m going to be late.”

Though she’s the director, she always arrives on time for work. Of course, her work hours are an hour later than most people.

While others start at eight or nine, she goes to the hospital between nine and ten.

After all, it’s her hospital.

Xiao Lang didn’t waste words with her further, directly taking her arm, ”Since you’re going to be late, hurry and get in the car.”

”Let go, I don’t want to ride in your car!” Li Mingxi struggled and protested, but it was useless.

Xiao Lang opened the car door and directly shoved her inside.

”Be good and behave, don’t make a scene in the neighborhood, or people will watch the drama unfold.” He said with a smile.

Li Mingxi was furious. Who was making a scene in the neighborhood? It wasn’t her!

But she stopped struggling.

Xiao Lang got in the car from the other side, closed the door, and suddenly leaned over to hug her, ”I kept thinking about you last night; only seeing you now makes me feel a little better.”

”...” Was he trying to sweet talk her?

Li Mingxi was quite startled. Xiao Lang hardly ever spoke sweet words.

Xiao Lang didn’t hold her for long. He let go of her and thoughtfully fastened her seatbelt.

Then, he handed her the soy milk and buns that were still warm in the car.

”You haven’t had breakfast yet, eat slowly. By the time you finish, you’ll probably be at the hospital.”

The hospital was just a ten-minute drive from her place.

She could actually walk to work instead of driving.

Xiao Lang placed the breakfast in her hands, then smiled and started the car.

Li Mingxi held the breakfast, unable to say a word.

In the past, if Xiao Lang did these things for her, she would have been deeply moved.

Now, she was still moved but didn’t dare give him any response.

She could never forget the words he said that day...

They were a thorn in her heart, one she couldn’t remove.

Throughout the whole ride, Li Mingxi looked out the window, not speaking to Xiao Lang and not eating the breakfast he gave her. Xiao Lang, though somewhat saddened, did not force her.

When the car reached the hospital, Li Mingxi unbuckled her seatbelt and said to him, ”Thank you for driving me to work, but you won’t need to pick me up anymore. I’m not in need of it.”

Xiao Lang smiled, ”Even if you don’t need it, I do.”

”Don’t be so selfish, okay?” Li Mingxi said bluntly.
