Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Capítulo 2070: Chapter 2070: Monkeys Aren’t Human

“Waiting a few months shouldn’t be a problem,” Jian Yufei said.

Ghost Doctor shook his head: “It’s not a matter of a few months, but several years. Actually, even if you come up with a second method, the first one has to be implemented first, otherwise I can’t even start.”

“But…” Her life needed so many monkeys’ lives in exchange; she really couldn’t accept it.

Plus, even if the experiment is done on monkeys, her illness might not be cured.

Ruan Tianling interrupted her in a deep voice: “That’s settled then! Yufei, don’t worry about anything else; I’ll handle it.”

Jian Yufei wanted to say something but ultimately said nothing.

Ruan Tianling was right, human lives are indeed more valuable than monkey lives.

Especially Ruan Tianling’s life, in her eyes, was more precious than anything else…

He was willing to sacrifice so much for her, so what was she unwilling to do?

…

Ghost Doctor’s method always made Jian Yufei feel uneasy.

She had to call Li Mingxi for advice.

“Using monkeys for experiments?!” Li Mingxi was shocked after hearing the content.

Jian Yufei nodded: “Yes. Cousin, is this method feasible?”

“I don’t know, but to me, it seems unfeasible.”

“Why?”

“Monkeys are not humans!”

Jian Yufei was stunned: “But Ghost Doctor said using monkeys for research is fine, maybe he has his ways.”

“Maybe so,” Li Mingxi was unsure, “By the way, my teacher has investigated some background on Ghost Doctor, and he really isn’t a good person.”

“What has he done?” Jian Yufei asked with a frown.

Li Mingxi snorted coldly: “His medical skills are extraordinary, but he is morally unsound. He only treats the wealthy and charges exorbitant fees. And to cure someone, he can come up with all kinds of rotten ideas. Once, a wealthy man’s heart was failing, he suggested taking a living person’s heart for a transplant surgery, and the wealthy man agreed, causing an innocent person to die to replace his heart with theirs. There were a few such incidents, always using other healthy people’s lives to save someone else’s. Be careful of him; he has only requested monkey experiments for now, but I’m afraid he might demand using live humans for experiments.”

Jian Yufei’s face turned pale, her heart thumping heavily.

She also suspected he might request using live humans for experiments.

If he made such a request and could cure her illness… Ruan Tianling would certainly agree…

“Cousin, thank you for telling me this.”

Jian Yufei hung up the phone, feeling unsettled all along.

It wasn’t until a broad embrace held her from behind that she snapped back to reality.

Jian Yufei sniffled, turning her head to Ruan Tianling: “How many cigarettes did you smoke? The smell is so strong.”

“Really?” Ruan Tianling raised his arm to smell, it seemed a bit so.

“I’ll take a shower.” He picked up the clothes and went to the bathroom, and when he came out after showering, Jian Yufei was still in a daze.

Ruan Tianling walked to the bedside, sat down, and embraced her: “What are you thinking about?”

Jian Yufei hesitated, then told him about Ghost Doctor’s background.

“That person is too wicked. If he makes any excessive demands, do not agree. I would rather not treat the illness than harm anyone.”

Ruan Tianling’s dark eyes smiled deeply: “Your illness can’t be cured with organ swaps, Ghost Doctor also said using monkey experiments is fine. You don’t have to worry about other matters, they have nothing to do with us anyway.”
