Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2064: Chapter 2064: Daddy Is Hurt

He explained in a low voice but didn’t dare to go on.

Li Mingxi pushed him away and straightened her clothes, ”That’s exactly what you mean! You think I love you, so you dare to hurt me recklessly. Even if you repent now, I don’t want to continue this relationship and love humbly. Xiao Lang, please let me go, we should break up.”

Li Mingxi’s attitude was very firm, Xiao Lang felt a wave of helplessness and pain.

”If I let you go, who will let me go?” he asked hoarsely.

He had just begun to fall in love with her and is now asked to give up his feelings and start over again?

Just forgetting Jian Yufei had taken him many years.

How much more time would it take to forget Li Mingxi?

If this relationship ended, he was sure he wouldn’t love anyone else in his life.

”Mingxi, I know you’re angry with me. It’s my fault, I shouldn’t have hurt you. I’m not expecting your forgiveness now, I’ll prove my love for you with actions... But breaking up, I won’t agree to it!”

Xiao Lang’s attitude was even firmer than hers.

Li Mingxi lowered her eyes to hide the sadness in them, wondering why he would put himself through this.

Xiao Lang gently embraced her, kissed her forehead, and said quietly, ”Today I won’t bother you anymore. Take your time to calm down, and if you think of any way to punish me, just let me know. Just, don’t mention breaking up again.”

”...” This time Li Mingxi didn’t say anything.

Xiao Lang released her, slowly stood up, and left.

With the door closed behind him, only then did Li Mingxi cover her face and indulge in unrestrained sadness.

What should she do, and how should she choose?

**************

Jian Yufei didn’t call to ask if they had reconciled; too much concern might be counterproductive.

Everyone’s love has to be explored by themselves, and what’s left just depends on whether they have the fate.

As soon as she returned home, she sensed something was off.

The house was unusually quiet, and the atmosphere was a bit oppressive.

Ruan’s mother’s face was solemn, indicating that something had happened.

Even Ansel didn’t greet her as happily as he usually did when she came home.

Jian Yufei frowned and asked in confusion, ”Mom, what’s going on? Did something happen at home?”

Ruan’s mother asked tentatively, ”Did you and Tianling have a fight?”

”No,” Jian Yufei replied, puzzled, ”Ruan Tianling came back? What’s wrong with him?”

”Mommy, Daddy is hurt. He came back and didn’t say anything, just locked himself in his room,” Ansel said, looking up with concern.

”Injured?! How did he get hurt, is it serious?” Jian Yufei asked anxiously.

”You should go check on him. Daddy won’t let us near him.”

Jian Yufei didn’t say anything else and hurried upstairs.

The bedroom door wasn’t closed, and Jian Yufei entered but didn’t find Ruan Tianling in the bedroom.

She checked the bathroom and found it empty too.

”Ruan Tianling, are you in here?”

Jian Yufei walked to the balcony and was startled to see him sitting on the carpet, leaning against the wall.

His head was down, one knee bent, his arm resting on it, with his palm full of blood.

His clothes were somewhat disheveled, and he looked very despondent.

Jian Yufei turned to find the first aid kit, then knelt beside him and gently took his hand, ”What’s wrong with you? Why didn’t you bandage your wound?”

She noticed there were cuts on both his palm and the back of his hand, but she couldn’t tell how he’d gotten them.
