Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

83: This is my bossThe noise outside grew louder, and those inside didn’t know what was happening.

Wang Ning: ”I’ll go see what’s going on.”

Assistant Director: ”I’ll go with you.”

So Wang Ning and the Assistant Director went out, leaving the Director alone to continue watching the auditions.

As soon as the two of them came out, they saw the chaotic scene. Wang Ning’s face darkened. Seeing that Chen Rui was involved, the Assistant Director, fearing that Wang Ning’s anger would affect him, barked first:

”What’s going on? What’s all this noise about?”

When Chen Rui saw the Assistant Director arrive, it was like seeing his own father.

”Second Uncle, you’re here.”

The Assistant Director said, ”Explain what’s happening here.”

Chen Rui immediately said, ”Second Uncle, this person is making trouble and even splashed coffee all over me.”

Chen Rui didn’t say why; he only said Lu Qingyu and the others were making trouble. The people in the room were all shrewd; hearing Chen Rui’s words, they exchanged glances, but no one was willing to step forward and speak up for justice.

The Assistant Director looked at Lu Qingyu, wanting to resolve the matter quickly: ”What’s the commotion? Don’t you know where this is? The production crew doesn’t need troublemakers. Leave immediately.”

The Assistant Director was about to kick Lu Qingyu out. Seeing things escalate, Zhou Fang immediately said, ”It’s a misunderstanding, all a misunderstanding. Could you give us another chance? We promise to behave.”

Wang Ning didn’t say anything, but his eyes remained on Lu Qingyu. Although Lu Qingyu was wearing a mask, he still felt a sense of familiarity.

Hearing Zhou Fang’s plea, the Assistant Director said with a long face, ”If an actor can’t even control their own emotions, how can they act well? You too, leave with him.”

As the Assistant Director finished speaking, a look of schadenfreude appeared on Chen Rui’s face.

I warned you before not to mess with me. Now look, both of you are being kicked out together.

To Zhou Fang, it felt like a bolt from the blue. He had prepared so much material for this role and invested so much time and energy. He truly wanted to join this production crew, but he never expected to be kicked out.

Zhou Fang’s face showed a trace of sorrow: ”Director, we really weren’t making trouble. It was Chen Rui—”

Just as he mentioned Chen Rui’s name, Zhou Fang was interrupted by the Assistant Director. Deliberately protecting Chen Rui, he said to Zhou Fang and Lu Qingyu, ”The two of you are perfectly fine, while Chen Rui is covered in coffee. It’s obvious you’re the ones bullying him. What else is there to explain? Leave now.”

Zhou Fang was unwilling, but that’s how it was when you had no power or influence.

He silently picked up the notes that had scattered all over the floor during the scuffle.

Just as he finished picking them up and was about to leave, he was suddenly called to a halt.

”Wait a moment.”

Lu Qingyu stopped Zhou Fang and then said, ”It was this Chen Rui who made trouble. I think he should be the one kicked out.”

Chen Rui: ”You say kick me out and I’m kicked out? Who do you think you are?”

Lu Qingyu: ”I think I’m the boss.”

After saying that, Lu Qingyu slowly took off his mask.

Wang Ning stared at the face before him. As the mask came off and revealed the entire face, Wang Ning’s eyes instantly went wide. Holy crap, the boss is here.

The people in the room also gasped when they saw Lu Qingyu’s face.

”Lu Qingyu! Heavens, it’s actually Lu Qingyu!”

Someone tried to take a photo with their phone but was stopped by a sharp look from a Staff Member who had entered the room.

The moment Chen Rui saw Lu Qingyu, he panicked. It was over. He never in a million years imagined this person was Lu Qingyu.

Zhou Fang’s eyes almost popped out of his head. He suddenly felt that his previous behavior was so foolish—he had actually been giving Lu Qingyu advice based on his experience.

After only a moment of panic, Chen Rui immediately steadied himself. The more famous someone was, the easier they were to handle. Since Lu Qingyu had just splashed coffee on him and kicked him, he surely wouldn’t want these things leaked online.

”We’re all here to audition, and no one should have special privileges. Let’s just drop this matter.”

Lu Qingyu said unhurriedly, ”I’m afraid not. Some things are better cleared up.”

Chen Rui pursed his lips, holding back the urge to curse at Lu Qingyu. I’ve already given you a way out; how can you be so ungrateful?

Although he was very popular now, it didn’t mean he could block out the sun with one hand. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have come here to audition like these ordinary people.

Chen Rui: ”This isn’t your company. You don’t want to make a big deal out of this either, so it’s better not to be too arrogant.”

Zhou Fang pulled Lu Qingyu and whispered, ”Maybe we should just let it go.”

”Chen Rui has a connection with the Assistant Director. Qingcheng Entertainment will definitely side with him.”

Lu Qingyu smiled. ”Mr. Chen does not meet the requirements for this production. Please show him out.”

Hearing Lu Qingyu’s bold words, Chen Rui looked at him as if he were a fool.

”You think this is your house? You think whatever you say goes?”

Just as Chen Rui finished speaking, Wang Ning said:

”Yes, Boss.”

For a moment, the room was deathly silent. Many people hadn’t yet processed what was happening.

Wang Ning’s respectful attitude left everyone present dazed.

”Did I hear that right? Wang Ning called Lu Qingyu ’Boss’.”

”Is that possible? Lu Qingyu is the boss of Qingcheng Entertainment?”

”F*ck, what’s going on?”

Wang Ning walked toward Lu Qingyu and introduced him to everyone: ”Lu Qingyu is the biggest boss of our Qingcheng Entertainment.”

Only the sound of gasps could be heard throughout the room.

Chen Rui’s face turned pale. He looked to the Assistant Director for help, but the Assistant Director could barely save himself now, let alone have the mind to save him.

Wang Ning: ”President Lu, I’m truly sorry that such a thing happened just as you arrived.”

”Don’t worry, I will make sure Chen Rui never appears before you again.”

Chen Rui’s heart sank. It was over. This time, it was truly over.

His resources were gone. His reputation in the industry hadn’t been great, and he had finally managed to turn things around with short dramas. Knowing that Qingcheng Entertainment was going to film an A-list production, he had been waiting to use this work to make a comeback. Now, it was all ruined.

The Assistant Director also didn’t dare to speak. When Wang Ning’s gaze swept over him just now, he felt he was finished. Sure enough, Wang Ning said:

”Assistant Director, hand over your work to Director Zhao.”

The Assistant Director’s face also changed drastically. The benefits at Qingcheng Entertainment were too good—high pay and little work. If he left here, where else could he find such a good job?

Chen Rui still wanted to grab the Assistant Director and ask him to think of something, but the Assistant Director brushed him off. This troublemaker—it was all because of him. If it weren’t for him, he wouldn’t have lost his job.

Manager Wang Ning seemed easy to talk to, but everyone who had worked with him knew he was a man of his word. This job was definitely gone.

Two minutes later, the Assistant Director and Chen Rui left. Zhou Fang went in for his audition, and Lu Qingyu was invited in to watch the auditions.

Only then did the people in the room dare to discuss:
