Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

65: Chapter 65: The Theme of Family AffectionSong Ke was a little surprised; he hadn’t expected it to be him. But this made him even happier, as the initiative was now in his own hands.

Accompanied by everyone’s applause, Song Ke slowly walked onto the stage, and the eyes of the audience and guests below were all fixed on him.

Host: ”Song Ke, have you decided? What is the theme word for this episode?”

Song Ke glanced at Lu Qingyu and then said: ”I have decided. The topic is, family.”

As soon as he finished saying these two words, the scene fell silent, and the Host and guests were petrified for a moment.

As soon as these two words came out, Lu Qingyu’s fans got angry.

”Did I hear that right? Family?”

”He’s doing this on purpose, right? Doesn’t he know about Lu Qingyu’s situation? Why choose this theme?”

”This is rubbing salt into the wound.”

”Song Ke is deliberately targeting him.”

Hearing what Lu Qingyu’s fans were saying, Song Ke’s fans were not happy either.

”What’s wrong with that? Song Ke has always been good at this theme; why can’t he choose it?”

”This is a competition, and competitions are always for those who are prepared. If you aren’t prepared, please withdraw from the competition.”

”Song Ke is just picking a theme. Do Lu Qingyu’s fans think that Lu Qingyu lacks the creative ability to write about it?”

”Targeting you? Who do you think you are?”

Song Ke feigned an innocent and clueless look: ”What, is this theme not allowed?”

Song Ke had a strong competitive spirit; he had been like this since he was a child, and this was his career, after all.

This was his third episode on the show, and he had two fewer episodes of exposure than the others. This was his debut, and he had to make everyone remember him.

And just as his fans said, he was indeed good at writing about family, so it was no surprise that he chose this theme.

The Host was the first to recover: ”No, this is allowed.”

The director reminded the Host to continue the flow, and the Host said: ”Now, let the countdown begin. Everyone, please start your creative journey.”

Song Ke was the first to walk off the stage toward his own arranging room. Before leaving, he glanced at Lu Qingyu, as if to say, I’m really sorry; although I sympathize with you, I will not allow anyone to stop my path to fame.

Chen Ting and the others had it much easier this episode. They were serving as voting guests, each with ten thousand votes to cast for guests other than themselves.

Lu Qingyu also walked toward the arranging room, thinking about what to sing along the way.

When it came to family, a song suddenly popped into his mind: ”one meat and one veggie.”

In his past life, the song he dared not listen to casually was Teacher Mao’s ”one meat and one veggie,” because it was too touching and made him cry every time he finished listening to it. Therefore, Lu Qingyu would only listen to it on the rare occasions when he missed it very much.

After deciding on the song to sing, Lu Qingyu began his creation.

Over there, Song Ke’s speed was incredibly fast. Whether writing lyrics or composing music, the whole process was smooth and fluid; he basically didn’t need any time to think.

Everyone in the live stream saw Song Ke composing and praised him one after another: ”Song Ke’s creative level is in the top five of the domestic entertainment industry; no rebuttal accepted.”

”He is truly excellent; I am proud to be his fan.”

”This speed of creation must be the fastest.”

”Not necessarily; Lu Qingyu’s speed is also very fast.”

Seeing someone mention Lu Qingyu, Song Ke’s fans didn’t believe it and specifically went to Lu Qingyu’s live stream to check. Then they discovered it was actually true; Lu Qingyu’s speed was on par with Song Ke’s.

Song Ke’s fans had their self-esteem bruised and started bickering with Lu Qingyu’s fans.

Bullet comments: ”Doing it so fast, could it be cheating?”

”Song Ke is also doing it fast; why don’t you say he’s cheating?”

”How dare you compare our brother to him? Our brother is the one who holds the record for the highest daily clicks on music software.”

”As if our little brother doesn’t have records too.”

Lu Qingyu’s fans threw out a bunch of Lu Qingyu’s achievements.

Zhang Xiaoxiao and Lou Qingran’s creative process was not as easy or simple as Lu Qingyu and the others’. Their speed was relatively slower, with Zhang Xiaoxiao being the slowest, occasionally needing assistance from her teacher.

Two hours later, all the guests were seated in their places.

Host: ”Today’s performance order is determined by the time everyone returned to their seats.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Qingyu looked at Song Ke next to him; he was second, and Song Ke was first.

Song Ke’s heart skipped a beat; he wished he had arrived later.

Zhang Xiaoxiao was the happiest; she was the last to go on stage.

After the order was set, the Host said on stage: ”Next, let us welcome Song Ke.”

Hearing his name, Song Ke stood up and took a deep breath. He cheered himself on; this song had been prepared long ago, with a famous teacher assisting in the arrangement. It was originally meant for his album, but now, using it for this occasion was not bad either.

Song Ke stepped onto the stage. The song he brought for everyone today was called ”Thanks for the Company.”

The soft sound of a cello began to play. This was a song with a soothing rhythm, and Song Ke slowly began to sing.

Downstage, Lu Qingyu also began to listen to Song Ke sing seriously. Must say, he sang quite well.

Song Ke’s song was presented in a soft musical form, expressing the happy times he spent with his father and mother accompanying him when he was a child.

After the song finished, thunderous applause erupted in the venue.

Lou Qingran also applauded; she had to admit that the arrangement of this song was very advanced.

Zhang Xiaoxiao: ”He can move so many people to tears; he is truly amazing.”

Song Ke was quite an impressive person; a few audience members couldn’t even control their tears.

Chen Ting sat behind Lu Qingyu and patted him: ”This Song Ke is really good.”

Lu Qingyu turned around and saw that Chen Ting’s eyes were also a bit red: ”Did he sing you to tears?”

Hearing Lu Qingyu’s rhetorical question, Chen Ting immediately said: ”This song is indeed good.”

Lu Qingyu pouted and handed Chen Ting a pack of tissues: ”Here, remember to wipe your tears.”

Chen Ting: ”My tear threshold is actually quite high.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Heh.”

Lu Qingyu went on stage, but this time, everyone did not think highly of him.

If it were any other theme today, Lu Qingyu might have had a chance to compete for first place. But everyone knew that what happened to him just two days ago was equivalent to someone losing their parents in an instant. Since childhood, he had also been beaten, scolded, and kicked by that ”mother.” Although, what good impression could he possibly have of family?

However, everyone was also very curious about what Lu Qingyu would write. Would it be grievance, crying, or hatred?

Under everyone’s anticipation, Lu Qingyu walked onto the stage.
