Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

59: Add a little fireSu Jixing hurriedly called Lu Qingyu, but Lu Qingyu didn’t answer. Anxious, Su Jixing headed straight for Lu Qingyu’s home.

Su Jixing drove to Lu Qingyu’s residential area and rushed upstairs. He knew the password to this apartment, so he didn’t even knock and just walked right in.

Then he saw Lu Qingyu with a table full of crawfish, looking as if he had expected Su Jixing to come: ”Brother Su, you’re here.”

Lu Qingyu had specifically waited for Su Jixing. After all, he was his Agent; before doing anything, he still had to inform him.

If Su Jixing could hear Lu Qingyu’s inner thoughts, he would definitely curse: ’You still know I’m your Agent?’

Su Jixing: ”What’s going on with you? Was your Weibo hacked? What is that stuff posted online?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Brother Su, sit down first.”

How could Su Jixing be in the mood to sit? Lu Qingyu’s Weibo content was too specific and even involved Lu Jin. Lu Jin’s fans were already cursing him out.

Lu Jin’s fans were extremely angry when they saw what Lu Qingyu had posted.

”What the hell? Is the cost of spreading rumors so low nowadays?”

”This is the funniest thing I’ve heard today. Please, can you make your lies a bit more realistic?”

”So annoying. Can you not involve our Gege?”

”How disgusting. If you want to go crazy, don’t drag others into it.”

As the Agent, Su Jixing’s Weibo wasn’t spared either; he was warned by Lu Jin’s fans to keep Lu Qingyu in check.

”Look at what you posted! Delete it quickly.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Brother Su, I have something to confess to you.”

Su Jixing had a bad premonition, and his heart skipped a beat uncontrollably.

”What are you going to do now?”

Lu Qingyu got up to pour Su Jixing a cup of coffee, and then he told Su Jixing his life story bit by bit.

The more Su Jixing listened, the more stunned he became. Even after Lu Qingyu finished, he still hadn’t quite processed it.

”You—are you telling the truth?”

Su Jixing’s voice was hoarse. This was too much information, and the content was so melodramatic and surreal. Wasn’t this the plot of a TV drama their company’s artists filmed a few years ago? How could this actually happen!

Lu Qingyu: ”It’s true.”

Su Jixing: ”What are your plans then? Do you want to take back your identity?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Of course not. Lu Guozhong has known of my existence for a long time but treated me as if I were dead because my past was ’disgraceful.’ Now he wants to acknowledge me privately only for profit. I wouldn’t dare want such a father.”

Su Jixing: ”Then by posting that online, aren’t you forcing Lu Guozhong to recognize you?”

Lu Qingyu smiled: ”No, I’m doing it to sever ties with him and, while I’m at it, eliminate a hidden threat to myself.”

Lu Jin’s biological mother was still alive. This person would do anything for her own son. If one day she jumped out and called him unfilial or a scoundrel just to prevent him from threatening Lu Jin, ruining his reputation, it would be extremely annoying.

What Lu Qingyu wanted was to deal with both of them once and for all.

Looking at Lu Qingyu’s still somewhat youthful face, Su Jixing’s heart suddenly felt heavy. This child was carrying far too much.

”Alright, Qingyu, I believe you. But as your Agent, I must remind you that your career is currently on the rise. You must be clear about the consequences of doing this.”

Logically, Lu Qingyu was an artist under Black Pearl, and all his actions required Black Pearl’s consent. But based on Su Jixing’s understanding of Lu Qingyu, if he really wanted to do something, you couldn’t stop him.

He had known this since he signed Lu Qingyu—this kid weighed 120 pounds, and 110 pounds of that was pure rebellion.

He looked well-behaved, sensible, and considerate, but in reality, as long as it was something he wanted to do, even the King of Heaven couldn’t stop him.

Su Jixing had been in the entertainment industry for many years and had long since become open-minded about many things. He truly liked this kid, Lu Qingyu.

”As for the company, I’ll help you as much as possible. Since you already have a plan in mind, then go ahead with it.”

Su Jixing’s greatest strength was managing public opinion for artists. Now that he knew Lu Qingyu’s intentions, Su Jixing hurried back to the company to find people to work overtime; the Marketing Group had to get online.

Everything has two sides; perhaps this could give Lu Qingyu another wave of popularity and push him further up.

Lu Qingyu was very grateful to Su Jixing. People like him—enthusiastic, conscientious, and capable—were few and far between.

Back when they signed the contract, it wasn’t so much that Su Jixing took a fancy to him, but rather that he took a fancy to Su Jixing. Su Jixing had even agreed to his rude contract demands at the time; it was clear he had quite the boldness.

On Lu Jin’s side, he looked at the lawyer’s letter issued by Lu Guozhong and sneered. His father had already lit a fire, so he would add some firewood. This time, he would eliminate the hidden threat of Lu Qingyu once and for all.

He opened his phone and dialed the number saved in his contacts that he had never called—the one for his biological mother, Wang Xi.

Wang Xi had also seen Lu Qingyu’s video online. She worked in a hospital, and many of the young nurses were fans of Lu Qingyu. At first, she didn’t even realize it was Lu Qingyu, and she was shocked when she finally recognized him.

It had been over a year since she last saw Lu Qingyu. She had almost thought he had died out there.

However, she couldn’t get in touch with Lu Qingyu now, and since she had to work at the hospital, she didn’t pay it much mind.

The phone rang; it was an unfamiliar number. Wang Xi thought it was a delivery person, but after she picked up, the other party was silent at first.

Lu Jin’s feelings for this mother were complicated. He didn’t know Wang Xi very well. He hoped Wang Xi would come forward to help him destroy Lu Qingyu, yet he was also afraid of her clinging to him.

On the other end of the line, Wang Xi said ’hello’ twice but heard no response. Just as she was about to hang up, the other party said something that made her whole body tremble.

Lu Guozhong’s involvement caused Lu Qingyu’s Weibo post to ferment, and it went straight onto the hot search topics.

When Lu Qingyu went to the company the next day, he was surrounded by a large crowd of reporters at the entrance. It was a real struggle just to get inside.

Chen Ting had heard about Lu Qingyu’s situation from Su Jixing last night, and his heart ached for him. This child was too pitiful.

No wonder he could write lyrics like those in ’dispelling sorrow’; so he had lived that kind of life before.

The situation online was fermenting intensely now, mainly because Lu Jin’s fans were relentless. Since Lu Guozhong had personally debunked the rumors, everyone naturally thought Lu Qingyu was just acting crazy.

Lu Qingyu hadn’t made any response yet. Su Jixing was making arrangements; he knew this kind of thing couldn’t be rushed.

At noon, Chen Ting bought two cups of coffee and sat at the door of the performance room waiting for Lu Qingyu to finish class. He wanted to comfort him as someone who had been through a lot.

Besides Lu Qingyu, there were five other artists in class today. Unlike Lu Qingyu, they were afraid of Chen Ting.

From the moment they saw Chen Ting’s figure through the window on the door, the other five artists immediately sat up straight, listened intently to the teacher, actively raised their hands to speak, and cooperated with the teacher’s performance.

But Lu Qingyu was truly tired. While others stood, he sat; while others sat, he slumped. If he could speak, he tried his best not to move.

When the teacher announced the end of class, Chen Ting walked in. The other five artists were terrified and immediately stood up to bow and greet him.

Chen Ting waved his hand and then walked up to Lu Qingyu.

Everyone thought Chen Ting was surely going to scold Lu Qingyu, but the result shocked their worldview.

Chen Ting personally handed a cup of coffee to Lu Qingyu.

The five of them froze in unison.

What the five of them found even harder to accept was that Lu Qingyu was actually picky about it.

Lu Qingyu: ”This doesn’t taste good; it’s too bitter.”

Chen Ting had the other cup in his hand that he was going to drink. Before it even reached his lips, hearing Lu Qingyu say that, he directly swapped with him.

”Then you drink this one instead.”

The other five artists gasped.
