Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

51: Not only did it trend on social media, it even made the headlines. But after all, Lu Qingyu was still young. As long as there were a few people in the meeting room supporting her choice, it was enough. Later, Su Jixing heard the news and personally came to Freedom to talk with their CEO. No one knew what the two had discussed, but in the end, Lu Qingyu was confirmed as the spokesperson.

Their live stream today also had targets: they needed the number of online viewers to exceed one million and the sales of the newly launched shoes to be over 100,000 to be considered successful.

Sun Yiru was managing the scene when a group member suddenly rushed over and whispered a few words in her ear. Sun Yiru was shocked.

”How can it be at this time? Didn’t they say their shoes wouldn’t launch for another month?”

The group member also looked troubled: ”Who knows what Pinno is up to? It seems their previous news was just a deliberate smokescreen.”

Pinno was currently Freedom’s biggest competitor. Their shoes were a 100% match in terms of price and brand positioning. Pinno’s overall quality wasn’t as good as Freedom’s, but the reason they could compete was their excellent promotion and numerous viral influencer styles.

Crucially, this brand was founded ten years ago by Lu Guozhong, and their spokesperson this time was Lu Jin.

As if intentionally trying to oppose Freedom, they also chose to release their new shoes today, and their live stream had started as well.

In the live stream, Lu Jin cooperated with the Host, doing interviews, playing games, and then trying on the shoes.

There was only so much market traffic. Lu Jin’s side had started half an hour earlier than theirs, and his live room already had over 800,000 viewers, a number that would likely continue to rise. This would inevitably affect the traffic on their side.

In less than five minutes, a large blister flared up at the corner of Sun Yiru’s mouth from stress.

Su Jixing saw the message sent to him by the Staff Member, and his expression wasn’t very good either.

Seeing this, Lu Qingyu asked, ”What’s wrong?”

Su Jixing said, ”Pinno invited Lu Jin to live stream their new product launch.”

Lu Qingyu had long since understood Lu Jin’s family business clearly. He didn’t believe in such coincidences in the world; this was likely another move by Lu Jin to target him.

Su Jixing was thinking about what to do. This was Lu Qingyu’s first commercial endorsement. If they couldn’t give the client a satisfactory result, it would be very difficult to get good advertisements in the future.

Lu Qingyu naturally thought of this problem as well.

On Pinno’s side, just as Lu Qingyu expected, Lu Jin had done it on purpose. He knew Lu Qingyu was going to endorse Freedom, and since Freedom was their rival, he naturally couldn’t let them have their way. So, he moved up the launch time of the new products.

If Freedom had invited another artist, they might have reconsidered, but since it was Lu Qingyu, they didn’t take him seriously at all. Thus, despite being poorly prepared, they still went ahead with the launch.

Arriving at Freedom’s city center store entrance, just before getting out of the car, Lu Qingyu suddenly said to Su Jixing:

”Brother Su, do you want my first advertisement to be a massive hit?”

Su Jixing: ”Isn’t that obvious? Ideally, it should go viral enough to make the hot search topics.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Brother Su, with those words from you, I feel reassured.”

Lu Qingyu: ”I think it can not only make the hot search topics but maybe even hit the news headlines.”

Su Jixing felt an inexplicable jolt to his soul: ”What are you going to do? Don’t do anything reckless. You must follow the event program, understood?”

Lu Qingyu didn’t speak. He never easily committed to things he couldn’t do.

Once Lu Qingyu arrived at the scene, Sun Yiru immediately signaled the Host in front of the live camera. The Host saw that he had arrived and enthusiastically introduced Lu Qingyu to the stage.

Hearing his name, Lu Qingyu entered with vibrant energy.

The number of viewers was originally around 100,000, but from the moment Lu Qingyu entered, the numbers began to climb.

”He’s here, he’s here! Our little brother is finally here.”

”Qingyu is so handsome today. What a bright and sunny boy.”

”I’ve been waiting for half an hour. Time to drool over the screen.”

”Cheering for our little brother! Let’s go, Lu Qingyu!”

Once Lu Qingyu’s fans saw him online, they began to interact actively. In less than five minutes, there were 500,000 people in the live room, but this was still only half of their target of one million.

Sun Yiru was a bit worried because, at this time, the growth of the audience in the live room began to slow down. Based on this trend, it would likely be difficult to reach one million.

Sweat began to bead on Sun Yiru’s forehead. She was starting to feel a bit of regret; if they had chosen an artist with a larger fan base back then, the target of one million would probably have been easily achieved.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Pinno’s live room already had 1.2 million viewers.

The Host finished warming up the crowd: ”Next, let us welcome Qingyu.”

Lu Qingyu walked up to the live streaming equipment and greeted everyone: ”Hello everyone, I am Lu Qingyu. I’m very happy to meet you all.”

Freedom was launching four types of shoes this time, and Lu Qingyu was endorsing two of them: a pair of sneakers and a pair of flat shoes.

The Host began to introduce the shoes’ performance, patents, and so on.

When the Host saw the different colors Lu Qingyu was wearing on his feet, he thought the Program Production Team had specifically asked him to model them that way.

”The shoes Qingyu is wearing now come in two colors, blue sole and pink sole. They are unisex and go with everything. If you like them, you can place an order.”

The camera cut to Lu Qingyu’s feet as he showcased them to everyone.

Lu Qingyu’s legs were already long, and today he was wearing a pair of black cargo pants, which looked very good with the flat shoes.

Sun Yiru and Su Jixing were both waiting for the back-end sales data. After the shoes were introduced, the products were put on the virtual shelves.

The sales data started jumping up from zero. In about two minutes, over 10,000 pairs were sold.

This was still a long way from their goal.

Seeing that Sun Yiru’s expression wasn’t particularly good, the Host worked even harder to introduce the shoes while also interacting with Lu Qingyu.

After fifteen minutes, the sales volume was currently over 60,000, and the growth rate was no longer very significant.

Sun Yiru’s heart sank. There were only about ten minutes left before the live stream would end, and they would certainly not reach their goal this time.

It was time for interaction with the netizens. The Host said, ”Qingyu, the netizens have many questions. Let’s randomly pick a few to answer.”

Lu Qingyu nodded and looked toward the screen.

ID Drifting Peach: ”This is boring. Are these shoes comfortable for running?”

Lu Qingyu saw the comment: ”They are comfortable for running, breathable and elastic.”

Netizen: ”Even if they weren’t comfortable, there’s no way he’d say it.”

”Is it really okay to run in these shoes?”

”I want to know if they actually rub the heels.”

The Host also saw everyone’s doubts. They had already mentioned these points before, but people didn’t believe them. After all, it was a new product that no one had tried yet, so repeating it was pointless. The Host’s intention was that these questions didn’t need to be answered, but Lu Qingyu suddenly said:

”How about I go for a run for you guys?”
