Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

75: Chapter 75 DuetIf possible, he wanted to secure all three of them.

Thus, Su Jixing began busying himself with the brand endorsement matters for the three high-end luxury labels.

Qin Zhao’s brand studio was now flooded with orders; even the clothes in the studio that previously had no takers were all bought up.

After Lu Qingyu returned to the country, Qin Zhao scheduled a meeting with Lu Qingyu’s studio and came in person to deliver sample garments.

Having seen Lu Qingyu online before, he had already thought this younger brother was very handsome, but seeing him in person, he found him to be even more so.

In the past, Lu Qingyu was too thin because he hadn’t lived well abroad. Over the last two months, his diet had improved slightly; he had gained some weight but also did muscle-building exercises, so his physique was now quite excellent.

Qin Zhao was still very excited to see Lu Qingyu.

”Hello, Teacher Lu. I am Qin Zhao.”

Qin Zhao was over ten years older than Lu Qingyu, yet he still very respectfully addressed Lu Qingyu as ’Teacher’.

Lu Qingyu was sitting in front of a vanity, where a makeup artist was helping him remove his makeup.

”Brother Qin, no need to be so polite. Just call me Qingyu. Please have a seat and wait for me a moment.”

Qin Zhao was still a bit nervous and embarrassed. Twenty minutes later, Lu Qingyu came out after changing his clothes.

”Sorry for the wait, Brother Qin.”

Qin Zhao immediately stood up: ”Think nothing of it! You’ve helped me so much and made my brand explode in popularity. Let alone twenty minutes, I would wait even twenty hours.”

Qin Zhao quickly brought the five sets of clothes he had delivered to Lu Qingyu.

One set was cyan-green, one was ash-linen, one was white, and there were two black sets.

”I’ve made some new styles, and each piece is unique. If there are any elements you like, you can tell me, and I’ll design them for you.”

Qin Zhao had already accepted many orders, with the schedule stretching sixteen months out, but he still prioritized making the clothes he wanted to design for Lu Qingyu first.

In his eyes, Lu Qingyu’s status was different. If Audrey Hepburn was Givenchy’s muse, then Lu Qingyu was his male god.

Lu Qingyu took a look and couldn’t help but praise: ”Brother Qin’s craftsmanship is truly excellent. These clothes are all designed perfectly to my aesthetic.”

Seeing that Lu Qingyu liked them, Qin Zhao became even happier.

Because Lu Qingyu was quite busy with work, Qin Zhao didn’t disturb him for too long, though the two did exchange contact information.

With the short drama becoming a massive hit, Qingcheng Entertainment earned a lot of money. Lu Qingyu put part of the income into the company’s continued development and invested another portion into DS Finance. In his previous life, Lu Qingyu mainly dealt in real estate and had an obsession with land. It just so happened that a plot he liked before was listed by the government, so Lu Qingyu had Qi Fei bid for it.

This land was discovered back when filming ’Love Journey’. The location was near Aiye Village, a plot he had passed while herding sheep.

It was a flat piece of land covering 300 mu. At the time, he felt the scenery was good and suitable for seclusion or retirement. But precisely because it was remote, one mu only cost two thousand yuan, so the entire three hundred mu was only six hundred thousand yuan.

The reason why no one bought it at such a cheap price was that everyone knew the government’s performance wasn’t good this year, so they had sold a lot of land to developers to increase revenue.

Two plots of land like this had already been sold, and two people had been swindled. Anyone who had inquired knew about these matters, so everyone was simply not interested in this land.

If a hotel were built, the customer flow would be poor due to the distance from the city. If a golf course were made, the investment would be substantial. The only use was to open a farmhouse restaurant or to farm.

Lu Qingyu’s initial concept was indeed to open a farmhouse restaurant, but not for others; he wanted to be able to go there himself whenever he wanted to rest in the future.

However, this wish fell through because an airport was going to be built here. The compensation was 500,000 per mu, and the airport’s total area was 800 mu. Lu Qingyu sold 200 mu of it, earning 100 million with tears in his eyes. Why didn’t he sell the remaining 100 mu? Because he wanted to build a hotel.

The only hotel near the airport—wasn’t this going to make a killing?

Qi Fei was also stunned when he learned the news. Wasn’t their boss trying to set up a farmhouse restaurant for himself? How did he earn 100 million in the blink of an eye?

Qi Fei’s voice was trembling when he called Lu Qingyu.

Lu Qingyu still felt a bit regretful that his farmhouse restaurant was gone; it seemed he could only choose another place.

As for those who hadn’t bid on this land, their hearts were green with regret.

They also didn’t know how an airport was suddenly being built; not a single word of rumor had been leaked when the land was being sold.

Because Lu Qingyu was quite busy, he could only look through the materials of these three companies every night.

Fortunately, whether it was Wang Ning or Qi Fei, both of the people he hired worked very hard and solved many problems for him.

In the fourth episode of ’Music Partner’, the theme was duets, but finally, original songs were no longer required.

Thanks to Lu Qingyu, the traffic for the show ’Music Partner’ had been climbing steadily.

The livestream for this episode surpassed ten million viewers as soon as it started.

And it could be seen from the bullet comments that many people came specifically for Lu Qingyu.

This youth, who was only eighteen years old, had gone through the melodramatic incident of being swapped at birth into a wealthy family, and then his life was like it had been boosted. Others in the entertainment industry who entered at the same time as Lu Qingyu were still trainees in their companies and hadn’t participated in any shows, yet Lu Qingyu had already been on two variety shows, released many representative works, and had even become the most eye-catching person at Paris Fashion Week.

”I’m here to see the younger brother. He just got back from France; doesn’t he need to get over the jet lag?”

”Curious about what the prompt for this episode will be.”

”Song Ke, I will always support you.”

”Xiaoxiao is still as beautiful as ever, she’s enchanting me to death.”

”Qingran is still so serious.”

This competition still gave the guests two hours to prepare.

Song Ke had lost a round before and wanted to redeem himself this time. He and Jiang Yu chose a very classic love duet, ’a dream in the mortal world’, which was the ending theme of a film that was a massive hit ten years ago. That film caused a huge sensation at the time, so the ending theme was naturally a household name.

Within the two hours, Song Ke readjusted the key of this song and added many musical elements on top of the original.

Zhang Xiaoxiao and Wang Hai also chose a love song; there were simply more love songs available for duets.

Lou Qingran and her mentor Li Qingming also couldn’t avoid the cliché, because they found that there were only a few songs suitable for duets.

In the official livestream room of ’Music Partner’, across the four screens, three groups had already chosen the songs they wanted to sing; the next step was to see if they needed to be readjusted.

But for Lu Qingyu’s group, everyone was confused—why did it look like Lu Qingyu was interviewing Chen Ting?
