The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 329: Chapter 155: Villain VS Savior (Part 6)

He Tiantian slowly walked out of the small storage room and followed the two to the main entrance of the warehouse area.

In this industrial park, several industrial greenhouses and warehouses served as storage and logistics hubs.

The original protagonist had some brains; at the dawn of the apocalypse, he had taken his band of friends and occupied the largest warehouse, about three to four thousand square meters.

Then, he slowly moved all the materials from several storage greenhouses, factories, and other warehouses to his own ”territory.”

By that time, employees and residents from the surrounding area had started to gather in the industrial park.

Among them were some security guards and hooligans who tried to seize territory with their Combat Power.

Coincidentally, the original protagonist’s Power Element Superpower had awakened.

Although it didn’t look particularly cool and didn’t seem to have tremendous lethality...

Normal people and Superpower Users were separated by a vast chasm; just a hint of Superpower was enough for the original protagonist to break out of his original class and become part of a special group.

Thus, the young, strong men who had wanted to battle with the original protagonist wilted and instead joined him as his lackeys.

After absorbing a few small groups, the ranks of his enforcers and lackeys grew from a meager few cats to a full clowder of twenty or thirty.

These people submitted to the original protagonist out of fear, but this also increased his power.

With a group of formidable underlings, the original protagonist, a Power Element Superpower User, was able to solidify his base smoothly.

As his status as ”King” was secured, the original protagonist began to enslave the survivors like a Superior, making them labor.

He had the walls of other factories pushed down and doors dismantled, desperately adding fortifications around the main warehouse.

However, although the original protagonist had some brains, he lacked planning ability; he and his cronies would reinforce whichever area they thought of.

The entire base had a pile of stones and bricks on the east side, and on the west, a makeshift barrier of scrap metal.

It appeared somewhat solid, capable of keeping the zombies at bay.

But overall, the place looked shabby, resembling an abandoned waste dump.

The survivors gathered in this base, which scarcely resembled one, either lived in other idle warehouses or shacks or constructed their own shanties around the ”Central Zone” with materials taken from the factories and greenhouses.

There was no help for it; to live in a complete house meant being farther from the ”safe” ”Central Zone.”

To stay closer to the ”Safe Zone” meant not having a complete house.

After all, the big warehouse in the Safe Zone, brimming with mountains of supplies, only had a few small rooms left, all claimed by He Xiaotian and his lackeys.

Ordinary survivors could only fend for themselves.

But they were not professionals in construction or planning; each person, each small group had their own schemes, haphazardly building and staking out their own territory.

In short, the entire ”base” was just one word—chaos!

He Tiantian walked out from the ”Central Zone” and found the messy layout quite speechless.

Actually, the original protagonist’s brain wasn’t dumb, and this industrial park in North City was quite suitable for a survivor base.

Even without considering the mountains of food and water in the warehouses, the surrounding factories, shipping containers, abandoned cars, and damaged equipment provided ample materials for building the base.

It’s just that there was no proper planning, and the original protagonist was too selfish; he only thought about reinforcing the large warehouse where he resided, not caring about others.

He had forgotten that in the apocalypse, an individual’s strength was indeed important, but the power of unity was even more crucial.

As He Tiantian walked on, observing, a preliminary plan for reconstruction formed in her mind.

But Xiao Ruobing, who was struggling to support Gu Bei and stumbling outwards, was unaware of these things.

From the corner of her eye, she caught sight of the robust figure following behind them, and her heart raced with urgency and fear.

”Is this bastard going to go back on his word?”

Xiao Ruobing’s inner turmoil was extreme, wishing she could sprout wings at her ribs and swiftly escape.

But as a physically feeble woman, burdened with carrying a grown man on her shoulder, it was already a feat for her to walk while supporting Gu Bei; she couldn’t even dream of moving faster.

Xiao Ruobing was so anxious she was nearly in tears, desperately screaming in her heart: ”Gu Bei! Gu Bei! Please wake up, I really can’t hold on much longer!”

Whether Gu Bei heard Xiao Ruobing’s Inner voice, or his Physical fitness simply allowed him to resist the effects of the anesthetic, was uncertain.
