The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 324: Chapter 153: Villain VS Savior (Part 4)_2

Some things absolutely must not be done, even if it seems ”inevitable,” one must adhere to their bottom line and principles.

To live life, one must have reverence; otherwise, He Tiantian felt that she would ultimately head toward destruction.

As thoughts surged tumultuously within her, He Tiantian’s heart grew firmer and firmer. She stared resolutely at Student Xiao D and repeated once more, ”I refuse the task of killing! Not just this time—if there are any more tasks like this in the future, I refuse them all!”

”Dock me points if you must or directly declare that I’ve breached the contract, and demand that I pay the penalty—it’s all the same to me!”

Student Xiao D became a bit flustered, ”Tiantian, what’s gotten into you?”

”You’ve even mentioned ’breach of contract’?”

Is it really just a single task, why take it so seriously?

What if the system really gets angry and declares He Tiantian in breach? Then—that—

Wait, even if she were in breach, the breach penalty seemed to be merely three times the task point reward.

And this task was at a three-star level with 8 points for the task.

Tripled, that would be twenty-four points.

Student Xiao D glanced casually over at He Tiantian’s personal panel—

Points: 25.

This was after the recent deduction for He Tiantian’s ”abnormal death” of 1 point.

Even so, He Tiantian still had enough points to pay off the penalty.

Once the penalty is paid, He Tiantian can directly unbind from the system.

Memories related to the Dian Niang System would be erased, but the skills He Tiantian learned through her own efforts in the novel worlds would not be wiped out.

Therefore, without the system when He Tiantian returns to reality, she could still become a translator, or a chef, or perhaps a martial artist, an archer!

Her life was destined to become rich and colorful, and she had plenty of alternatives.

Now, for He Tiantian, the system really wasn’t important enough to make her give up her convictions and bottom line.

On the contrary, it was the system—

Cough cough, Student Xiao D wasn’t just bragging about his friend, but He Tiantian truly possessed strength.

The scripts she continued to write and re-listed on the Dian Niang Book Library were much loved by the readers.

You don’t have to look at anything else—just seeing the backstage click rate and subscription numbers, those were incredibly impressive achievements.

Although He Tiantian hadn’t been bound to the system for a very long time and had only completed about a dozen works, she possessed immense potential for growth.

Student Xiao D would bet that, given his little buddy’s abilities, she was bound to become one of the best writers at Dian Niang Book Library, with no rivals!

Sure enough, as Student Xiao D was secretly thinking about these things, a command arrived at the core of his existence.

”Ding! Alternative task issued: Continue to reign supreme at Northern City Storage!”

Xiao D passively announced the task, and then said excitedly, ”Tiantian, the system has made concessions and hasn’t continued to force you to do things you can’t agree with!”

Wow ka ka, he just knew it—his little buddy was just that badass.

He Tiantian hooked the corner of her lips slightly; she had indeed guessed correctly.

The Dian Niang System wasn’t about forcing people to play the villain and to go against their morals and bottom lines; its ultimate goal certainly wasn’t just to maintain a persona without collapsing or to uphold the male lead’s or female lead’s authority.

Its only goal was to make the novel more fascinating!

There was no absolute right or wrong, and it didn’t think the people hurt by the villain deserved pity.

The system had never issued tasks that compensated victims or sacrificial lambs.

He Tiantian had suspected this all along, but hadn’t been completely certain until now.

And because of this suspicion, today she decisively indicated: refusal to take tasks that clearly break the law or disrupt order.

Because He Tiantian understood, Dian Niang wasn’t deliberately forcing villains to commit crimes; all its settings were only for making novels more attractive and more liked by the dear readers.

Just as Student Xiao D once said, in a novel, where there are heroes, there will be villains, and where there are protagonists, there will be supporting characters.

Good exists with evil, and virtue with vice.

Thus, characters can have conflicts, and plots become thrilling and full of ups and downs.

All good people?

All heroes?

Hehe, even reality can’t guarantee that.

Therefore, the existence of the villain, top-grade, and other such roles was absolutely necessary.

However, if He Tiantian could make the story incredibly interesting without killing anyone, Dian Niang wouldn’t be overly coercive.

After all, Dian Niang Book Library is very professional and serious, right, not some anti-human pervert!

However, ”Continuing to reign supreme at Northern City Storage”—this task doesn’t sound very positive or glorious either.
