The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 309: Chapter 148 Argument_2

He Tiantian: ...It’s just a performance for the school’s autumn sports event opening ceremony, why make such a big deal about it?

Turning school literature into a palace drama with faking illnesses and passing the blame, aren’t you tired, dear!

”Brother Xuan, stop complaining and look at the class group chat quickly, damn, Zhou Zixuan is just, so freaking Top-grade! She’s dragging you into this!”

Ma Siqi, wearing an internet-famous loungewear, sat cross-legged on the bed, pointing at her phone screen and shouting.

”What?” Zhou Zixuen was startled for a moment, seemingly unable to grasp it initially: I was just gossiping here, and in the blink of an eye, I’ve become the subject of gossip?

”Me? What does this have to do with me?”

Zhou Zixuen was utterly baffled. She wasn’t the literature committee member, nor the sports committee member, not even a class committee member. Class activities such as ”official business,” should not involve her at all.

”Oh come on, just look at it yourself! This Zhao Shuai really, if he’s going to complain about Zhou Zixuan, then just complain about her. Why step on someone to lift another?”

Ma Siqi said urgently, her tone showing some speechlessness towards Zhao Shuai, the athlete.

Zhou Zixuen had a good personality and was also handsome; not only did the girls like to play with her, but the boys also liked to interact with her.

Zhou Zixuen was also tall and enjoyed sports. She had played basketball with the boys in her class during her spare time.

So, including the sports committee members, several athletes had a great relationship with Zhou Zixuen, constantly adoringly calling her ”Brother Xuan.”

As an athlete, Zhao Shuai was good buddies with Zhou Zixuen.

During the class meeting of Class 7, the class discussed the opening ceremony activities.

At that time, Zhou Zixuen had once suggested, ”Actually, we could let some of us special ability students perform a street dance. Our other classmates could pose, which would look pretty good!”

The sports committee member was a street dance expert who had even gone to Provincial City for a competition and won a silver medal.

He was one of the few ”stars” of Class 7, along with Zhou Zixuan, the Talented Girl Zhou, and Gao Xiang, the male god.

Zhou Zixuan liked Gao Xiang, but disliked the sports committee member because he was close with Zhou Zixuen.

An enemy’s friend is also an enemy, Zhou Zixuan firmly believed.

Zhou Zixuen suggested that Class 7 perform a street dance, with the sports committee member definitely being the star. If the performance really made waves, it would be the sports committee’s moment to shine.

Two enemies, one proposal, one execution, both greatly annoyed Zhou Zixuan.

She outright cast a negative vote, with reasons that could be considered justifiable: ”Street dance is too professional. Except for the sports committee member, no one in our class is up to it, but the opening ceremony is a class activity. We can’t rely on just one committee member; other students also want to contribute!”

Zhou Zixuan spoke diplomatically, yet her message was clear: When Class 7 hosts a group activity, they couldn’t let the sports committee member hog the spotlight nor the other students be mere backdrops.

In an era where individuality is valued, everyone wanted to be the focus, not a mere accessory.

Zhou Zixuan’s words directly rallied most of the class to her side.

Thus, Zhou Zixuen’s proposal was shot down.

But now, Zhou Zixuan ”was sick” and could no longer handle the dance subtitles rehearsal and leadership. Those who originally thought Zhou Zixuan had a point began murmuring—

”Actually, Brother Xuan’s suggestion was quite good. Even if not dancing street dance, we could pick another theme and let more students join in.”

Although everyone wanted to perform, if all went on stage and the reaction was lackluster, it might be better to have an excellent leader letting everyone gain more attention.

First trend, then assign the roles.

It’s like securing the cake first, then internally deciding who gets a bigger slice and who gets a smaller slice.

If they couldn’t even secure the cake, the so-called ”equality” was just an empty promise, impossible to achieve.

The person who said this didn’t really intend for Zhou Zixuen to take charge of the opening ceremony; it was merely a casual remark just to point out that Zhou Zixuan’s dance captions weren’t the only option.

But though unintended by the speaker, it was significant for the listener. Zhou Zixuan, already feeling guilty, became somewhat irritated after seeing the chat in the class group.

Of course, as a naive and talented Little Talented Girl, Zhou Zixuan definitely couldn’t create a scene of shrewish cursing.

Thus her Little Sidekick spoke up: ”Zhou Zixuen capable? Then let her take over.”

”Exactly, it’s not like Zixuan wanted to be sick; it was unavoidable. Why are you all being so harsh?”
