The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 323: Chapter 153: Villain VS Savior (Part 4)

”Tiantian, actually, this task isn’t impossible to complete!”

Student Xiao D noticed that He Tiantian was silent and thought for a moment before speaking tentatively, ”Just, just like the Red-clothed female ghost in the last world—”

”It’s not the same!”

He Tiantian said indifferently, ”The Red-clothed female ghost is a ghost, not a human, and she indeed had been tainted with cause and effect. According to the rules, she needed to be sent to the Underworld for trial!”

”Furthermore, she did take away Guiyuan Temple’s forbidden secret and attempted to offer it to her own master—”

Therefore, He Tiantian’s execution of the Red-clothed female ghost was justified and by the rules, without any psychological burden.

”Then, you could follow the same approach!”

Student Xiao D racked his brains, and then a little light bulb went off in the depths of his core, ”You see, although this world doesn’t have ghosts and goblins, it does have zombies.”

”What if, what if Gu Bei ’accidentally’ turns into a zombie, then you’d have a reason to kill him.”

”Plus, if he becomes a zombie, he’s no longer a normal human, you, you probably wouldn’t feel the guilt of ’murdering’ someone!”

Although Student Xiao D didn’t understand human emotions, he had spent some time with He Tiantian after all.

He had some understanding of her.

As someone who grew up in a peaceful era, within a civilized society, her legal conscience had been deeply embedded into He Tiantian’s marrow.

Murder?

That was a line she absolutely could not cross.

Of course, if she faced a life-threatening crisis, and she had no choice but to kill to defend herself, then maybe He Tiantian might be able to do it.

That’s why, at the start of the script, the system had selected such a critical moment.

Without any surprise, He Tiantian was killed once.

For a writer like He Tiantian, who had a smooth time completing tasks, had the Golden Finger, cheat codes, and was familiar with the plot.

After spending a lot of time in the novel world, it was inevitable to develop a sense of superiority.

Just imagine, a power player who thrived in the task world being killed in a second by the natives of the novel world, how intense the impact and resentment she felt would be.

Not to mention, having to restart, He Tiantian dodged the fatal strike, but the natives still relentlessly pursued her.

The desire to survive, the resentment of being killed, and the timely mission issued by the system, mixed with many factors, made it very natural for He Tiantian to kill Gu Bei in the process.

But He Tiantian didn’t do it!

After accepting the script, He Tiantian’s entire being radiated strong rejection and resistance.

Student Xiao D had some difficulty understanding.

”’Accidentally’ become a zombie? Student Xiao D, you’re becoming naughty!”

He Tiantian said teasingly, but her eyes held little humor.

Student Xiao D shivered nervously, his furry body trembling nonstop.

”It’s not, I, I didn’t! I just think that since the system has assigned such a task, then we should make every effort to complete it!”

Besides, with He Tiantian’s abilities, she would definitely be able to think of a justifiable way to kill Gu Bei.

”No! I refuse such a task!”

If she hadn’t experienced that recent ”death,” He Tiantian wouldn’t need Student Xiao D’s ”suggestions”; she would’ve naturally thought of a method to kill Gu Bei herself.

But, it was precisely the personal experience of death that immediately grounded He Tiantian’s somewhat arrogant heart.

After completing a few tasks and living freely and comfortably in the novel world, she had the Heavenly Destiny Boys spinning in circles.

Unconsciously, He Tiantian’s mentality had changed.

She became exceedingly proud, arrogant, and even a bit conceited.

Just that, He Tiantian herself didn’t realize it; she still believed she hadn’t forgotten her original intentions, that she was holding tight to her morals and boundaries.

But in fact, she had already changed.

In her subconscious, she had elevated herself to a position equal to the consciousness of the Small World.

And to her, the male leads, female leads, and supporting cast, the Sacrificial Lambs, seemed like ants that she could easily dominate and control at will.

She constantly reminded herself not to lose herself in the novel world, but she had already lost her way without knowing it.

Had she not been awakened, when He Tiantian received the task to ”counter-kill Gu Bei,” she might have felt some discomfort.

After all, the act of killing, for He Tiantian, was really a difficult chasm to cross.

But with her high-and-mighty attitude and all-encompassing arrogance, she could always find a ”justifiable” excuse.

However, once He Tiantian crossed that line, with no longer any restraint or reverence in her heart, she would truly set foot on the path of the villain from which there’s no return.
