Chapter 1210: Chapter 25: You Should Unlock the 100 Kills Achievement First

The Magnetic Core Light Bomb rotated mid-air, and Ilde, perched on the chandelier, tensed up, keeping her eyes fixed on the suspicious object flying towards her, ready to pull back to a safe distance at any moment.

Bang!

A strong light exploded within the room, and even though it was afternoon, the windows of the room still let out a white glow.

When the light becomes strong enough, everything before you in the light appears a vast expanse of whiteness.

The dazzling white light quickly receded, and after the ’Magnetic Core Light Bomb’ exploded, it produced a scorched smell mixed with a faint sourness.

”Ah!!”

A cry of agony echoed, as Ilde crouched on the chandelier and covered her eyes, her vision filled with white and red; the white caused by the strong light and the red from bleeding beneath her eye membranes.

The chandelier swayed side to side, and the fully blinded Ilde almost fell from the chandelier, but with her combat readiness, even temporary blindness wouldn’t make her too embarrassed.

”Kada (Undead Language: Despicable).”

Though Ilde was not lacking in strength or experience, she lacked adaptability in real combat. When Su Xiao threw the object at her, her first reaction was that it might explode, followed by the possibility that it contained a large amount of toxins.

As for a flash bomb, this high-tech thing was unknown to Ilde, and thus she fell directly into the trap.

The Magnetic Core Light Bomb had such a surprising effect, Su Xiao himself did not expect it. Previously, he just felt that capturing Ilde would be troublesome, as over 90% of his combat methods are lethal. Therefore, he attempted to confuse the opponent with words before the battle, and threw a Magnetic Core Light Bomb on the off chance.

As soon as the strong light faded, Su Xiao slashed forward with his long knife, sending out a blade aura.

Clang.

Hearing the slashing sound approaching her, the completely blind Ilde did not panic; she positioned the tips of her two daggers together, curling her body to minimize the area exposed to attacks.

With a jingle, Ilde felt the incoming attack pass over her head, severing some metal, which made her sigh in relief.

But in the next moment, Ilde suddenly realized that she had positioned herself atop the room’s chandelier for a more dramatic entrance, and the thing that had just been severed was most likely the chandelier’s rod.

Indeed, the situation was exactly as expected; Ilde, the undead sister, was now stepping onto the metallic chandelier, descending rapidly.

With a clang, the metal chandelier crashed to the ground, and Ilde leapt backward swiftly, her movements agile like a night cat.

In fact, Ilde hadn’t lost her vision entirely; she still had her hearing, and she surprised herself at how much sharper her hearing had become after losing her sight.

Ilde possessed a stamina attribute of 75 points, meaning she wouldn’t easily suffer permanent blindness. According to Su Xiao’s estimation, Ilde would be blind for at most two minutes.

What could be done in two minutes of blindness? Su Xiao’s answer was to put away Dragon Slash.

Indeed, Su Xiao did stow away Dragon Slash; just now, he had discerned that the undead Ilde was relying on her hearing to perceive the surroundings. If this was the case, then holding Dragon Slash, Su Xiao might accidentally kill the opponent, whose role was significant and could not yet be reduced to a treasure chest.

Su Xiao had just stowed away Dragon Slash when the Legendary Gear, Spirit of Wood, clung to his right hand, wrapping his fingers and forearm.

Su Xiao walked forward slowly, and immediately Ilde heard footsteps, and in the next instant, Su Xiao suddenly vanished from his original place.

Whoosh!

Ilde felt a gust of air breaking directly towards her, her twin daggers glowing with a bright green light, enveloped by a vast amount of Power of the Undead.

Su Xiao had just rushed to within five meters of Ilde when his foot abruptly halted, his arm flicking forward to send several white objects flying.

Ilde ducked low, her pointed ears twitching, listening closely for... the sound of explosions!

Boom, boom, boom...

A series of alchemy bombs exploded nearby Ilde, the blasts and flames spreading out, causing a ringing sensation in Ilde’s ears. She had just been concentrating on listening to the surrounding sounds, but the sudden explosion left her severely shaken.

Eye-stinging pain, along with a faint ringing in her ears, were absolutely not pleasant experiences. The undead sister Ilde felt a pang of sadness and indignity; she was saddened by how foolish she felt and angered by how cunning the enemy was.

Evidently, the undead sister Ilde, who had yet to unlock the ’Hundred-Man Slayer Achievement’, was not a battle-hardened warrior. Her strength was not weak, and her combat experience was rich, but her practical combat experience lacked depth, which only indicated one thing: that Ilde had an exceptionally skilled teacher.

It makes sense if it was someone like Joseph Cole, a cunning old fox on the battlefield, he wouldn’t have lost his vision to a flash bomb as soon as the battle began. Faced with such an old fox, Su Xiao would barely toss a flash bomb before they shield their face with an arm and quickly retreat, which was the instinctive reaction when an opponent threw an object at him.

Our undead sister Ilde did not have such instinctive reactions; her instinct was to observe whether the flash bomb posed a danger.

An error in the first move could lead to defeat in the entire battle, as demonstrated by Ilde’s current state.

After the alchemy bombs exploded, the flames surged towards Su Xiao, yet Su Xiao did not retreat a single step, instead charging into the fire.

A heatwave surged from all directions, Su Xiao had just charged into the flames when a green dagger came stabbing towards him.

Su Xiao dodged by tilting his head slightly, precisely avoiding the first dagger, but the second dagger followed directly towards his chest.

Su Xiao didn’t even glance at the second dagger, the muscles on his right arm bulging slightly; it was the arm he frequently wielded his blade with, possessing terrifying power, which was further enhanced by Spirit of Wood’s attack form, making it incredibly potent.

A blur flashed by, and Su Xiao delivered a punch to Ilde’s abdomen, with a shredding sound, Ilde’s attire was torn, revealing her gray-white abdomen.

Su Xiao’s fist embedded into Ilde’s abdomen, her body bending into a V-shape as sour liquid sprayed from her mouth onto the mask.

Thud!

Ilde was slammed directly into the ground, leaving a six-meter diameter, two-meter-deep crater, with crack patterns resembling a spiderweb inside.

Su Xiao jumped into the pit; as soon as he did, an arm burst from the center of the pit, holding a dagger.

Bang.

A green energy spread from within the soil, the earth around Ilde blasted away, enveloping her in a layer of bright green energy shield. Her body slightly bent as she gasped for breath, blood overflowing from the corner of her mouth.

Ilde’s one green eye opened, judging by the trembling pupil, this eye had partially recovered vision faster than Su Xiao anticipated.

”Similar to the use of ’Proud Song’, just much cruder.”

The ’Proud Song’ Su Xiao spoke of was a branch ability of Blue Steel Shadow, which he frequently employed as an energy shield.
