Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Looking at the ring chain on his hand.

”What is the function of this treasure? Why was there that strange fluctuation just now?” Jason asked curiously.

Because the power induced by that fluctuation was indeed very strange.

Upon hearing this, Matilda smiled and said, ”The power of this treasure is activation, it can awaken the potential of life.”

”Awaken the potential of life?” Lucilia repeated with a question.

Matilda nodded and then began to explain in more detail to everyone.

”Just like the human body, even now we can’t fully exert the potential of our bodies, right?

Especially when we once lacked strong control over our bodies.

But even now, we cannot achieve perfect control over our bodies because some things are difficult to control, including the potential of life.”

Speaking, Matilda extended her hand.

The hand with the chain was her lower left arm, the least used. So it’s just suitable for wearing the bracelet without any impact.

”Awakening the potential of life can enhance the qualities of your bodies upwards. But I can practice and control later, at least minutely control the enhancement of potential.

Including but not limited to improving the recovery speed of magic power, physical strength, reaction speed, agility, and even the body’s own recovery ability, detoxification and anti-poison ability, all of these are part of the awakening process.”

Hearing this, everyone nodded involuntarily, understanding the explanation.

It’s like an all-around enhancement process for the body.

”But such awakening also has side effects, the more exaggerated the degree of awakening, the greater the side effects.

Fully activating life’s energy to its utmost may lead to a severe deficiency in the body’s life energy afterwards, resulting in premature death or even burning oneself out on the spot.” Matilda emphasized.

Then a herb appeared in her hand.

”And not only can ordinary people be awakened, but such plants can also be activated. Because they are used for medicine, their efficacy can be multiplied upon awakening.

This makes the subsequent medicinal effects very useful.”

In simple terms, this treasure is extremely suitable for Matilda.

Under her control, this potential awakening allows her to revive someone who hasn’t yet died in almost any situation.

Strong activation can at least sustain a dying body for a period, enough for her to conduct treatment.

As she said, awakening life’s potential has a side effect, but for Matilda, she can greatly reduce these side effects or mitigate them.

This way, she can better utilize this awakening ability, not only benefiting plants but also other people.

With two treasures handed to the two of them, now naturally it’s time for them to slowly master it themselves.

Alka looked at the others.

Observing the level of magic power within their bodies.

Currently, others have not yet advanced to the Seventh Stage, and there isn’t much difference in the magic power within their bodies. Even if they advance, the difference in upgrade will not exceed a month.

Based on his observations, Alka could estimate that it would be around half a year before the others advanced to the Seventh Stage.

And they are about to reach their next destination.

...

After a long sailing journey.

Since they left that pirate island, more than half a year has passed, and ahead is their approaching destination.

Alka and the others sailed forward, encountering many ships these days heading from their front to their back.

Many ships bore insignias of churches or powerful factions, indicating they were all headed towards the World Scar.

Along the way, they saw many such support ships, almost confirming the severity of the situation at the World Scar.

It’s either now or shortly, the demons will begin a major counterattack.

But being worried now holds no significance for them.

Soon, standing at the bow of the ship, Alka saw the mark of their destination.

A gigantic, mountain peak that could be seen floating on the sea from afar.

”We’ve arrived,” Alka said.

Chadite and Lucilia came over to the lookout, looking at the distant mountain peak rising from the sea.

”Is that the Ascension Peak?”

Alka nodded, ”Yes, Ascension Peak, a location that has existed since the Golden Era.”

Indeed, their upcoming destination is an island dominated by this mountain peak.

This mountain rises approximately 6,700 meters high, standing alone on the island.

Even from their current distant position, the contour of the mountain peak is clearly visible, being the most conspicuous landmark.

Surviving since the Golden Era.

According to records, Ascension Peak was a place where several Divine figures ascended to divinity during the Golden Era.

That’s how it got its name.

This place holds countless ancient ruins and ancient civilizations.

But now, the top houses three churches.

The Holy Machine Church, Holy Mother Church, and Seed of Life.

Besides the Sea God’s Storm Church, the other three divine churches have their own chapels there.

This explains why the surrounding area and its linked island chain form a thriving maritime route.

Numerous cargo ships passing by have confirmed this.

”Increase speed, let’s hurry over.”

The Sound of Dawn’s tail shot out wind power, swiftly propelling the whole ship forward.

But after all, it’s a towering mountain, so even if they increase speed, the mountain remains remotely distant, seemingly refusing to approach.

As they drew closer, the mountain’s majesty gradually unfolded before everyone.

Until finally, it almost revealed its full form to them.

They were within the mountain’s range, unable to see the top of the peak.

The mountain’s height is too impressive, difficult to imagine for an isolated peak reaching such heights. Usually, mountains like this are part of sprawling ranges.

Due to its great height, the peak reaches into the clouds, hidden from view by mist and fog covering the summit.

Even at this proximity, they clearly saw they were still quite far from the port.
