Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Magic Power once again flowed from Juanlu’s hands, spread along the golden pot, and covered the fish meat beneath.

This time, not only the fish but also all the seasonings inside were soaked in Magic Power transformed by the Treasure.

Very quickly, the fish was perfectly finished.

Plate after plate was set out with the Puppet Girl’s help. Each piece of fish was placed on top as a single portion.

When everyone saw the fish, they couldn’t help being shocked, because the fish looked exactly the same as when They’d watched it being cut just now—still that pink, Gemstone-like luster, as if it had never been cooked.

It was as if the entire cooking process They had just watched didn’t exist at all, even though before it came out of the pot, They’d clearly seen the fish change.

Most of all, They couldn’t smell any aroma, not even the spices that had just been used.

The bottom of the frying pan actually wasn’t stained at all. The metal had liquefied and was hovering beside Juanlu.

Juanlu picked up a plate and handed it to Alka.

”Give it a try.”

Everyone’s gaze stayed fixed on the piece of fish on the plate.

Alka picked up a small table knife and lightly poked the fish.

The tip of the knife pierced it like popping a bubble, and a rich fragrance burst out in an instant.

Like a surging river, it rushed toward Them.

”Gurgle gurgle.”

Pororo’s stomach immediately let out a growling sound, and Everyone could feel saliva starting to flood Their mouths.

Too fragrant.

Their appetites spiked.

Alka speared the small piece of fish with the knife and popped it into his mouth in one bite.

Life Energy and Magic Power burst forth.

They poured into his whole body through Alka’s mouth.

Delicious.

He had no idea how to describe it.

The springy, tender fish, under the bite of his teeth, was like a water-filled bean being burst.

An extraordinary flavor exploded; the fish seemed to come alive in his mouth and, following the shape of his oral cavity all on its own, slipped down his throat.

”Gulp!”

It slid into his stomach.

”Hoo...”

Alka let out a breath and raised his right hand, giving it a wave.

Invisible breezes stirred in the air, and then gathered water flowed into being in his palm.

”The Life Energy in my body has increased... My control over the water Element has improved.”

”And... it’s a permanent improvement.”

Juanlu smiled and nodded. ”In essence, this Treasure is somewhat like an evolved form of the Cup of Intoxication.”

Alka added a brief explanation to the side. ”This Treasure’s function is actually the same as the Cup of Intoxication. It’s just that its abilities are far more outrageous and affect much more.”

”So I had Alka help me turn this Treasure into kitchenware, that way I can sublimate the food while I’m cooking.

That way, it won’t be like the Cup of Intoxication, which can only sublimate liquids, and even then only liquids that contain alcohol.

They’re similar, but the direction of sublimation between them is actually different.”

After listening to the two of them, Everyone more or less understood.

”So what you’re saying is that the food you make from now on won’t just be twice as tasty, it’ll also provide all kinds of effects that can improve our talents and physical qualities.”

Listening to Jason’s summary, Juanlu nodded. ”Exactly.”

Juanlu could be said to be extremely satisfied with this Treasure; it matched his hobby and profession perfectly.

”Come on, one portion each.”

Hearing that, Everyone hurried to take a plate, and then a huge wave of aroma surged out. It filled the whole kitchen, then drifted outside through the windows and vents.

It made the nearby guards and passing residents involuntarily stop in their tracks.

”Smells amazing.”

”What’s that smell? What are they cooking?”

”...”

Alka and the others didn’t know anything else, but They knew that from now on Their good fortune at the table was going to be even more outrageous.

...

Time passed.

Another unchanging daylit sky.

It was as if only this daylight would never be touched by time.

Alka arrived at the Holy Mother Church in Return City.

With Return City’s expansion, the Holy Mother Church had also become larger than before.

Alka sat at the back of the prayer hall.

As the prayers ended, the worshippers left one after another, and Bref, who had presided over the prayer, also walked over.

He sat down beside Alka.

”The information you wanted has basically all been gathered.” Bref said, taking out a thick booklet and handing it to Alka.

Everything inside was detailed information They had collected over the past few years that Alka needed.

In other words, information about the other eleven Towers of Trial.

That was why Alka had come here today.

He took the booklet and flipped through it carefully.

The booklet had clearly been categorized into eleven sections.

And each section was a detailed record centered on a Tower of Trial that Alka was interested in.

Bref sat beside him without disturbing Alka’s reading.

”Thank you.”

Bref nodded, but said, ”Since you had us gather all this, you must have something in mind for these eleven towers, right?

These eleven towers should be the same type as the one on that Trial Island you all went to before, correct?”

Hearing this, Alka nodded. There was nothing to hide about that.

”I’ll ask you in the name of the Church.”

Alka nodded and said, ”Sure, go ahead.”

”According to the Church’s records, these Towers of Trial should be buildings belonging to the God of Trial, left over from the Golden Era.

Based on some leftover archives, the God of Trial may have fallen. Although we don’t know why these towers can still operate normally.
