Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

The entire stretch of sea was shrouded in dark clouds, even though it was still broad daylight.

The dense clouds twisted into a spiral, as if this sea was brewing an outrageous storm.

That exaggerated spiral looked like it was about to suck the sun right out of the sky.

An excessive amount of Magic Power gathered here and formed the spiral, and it involuntarily drove the surrounding Elements into a frenzy.

Bolts of thick lightning split down again and again from the cloud-heavy sky, gales converging.

For a moment, it was impossible to tell whether this was a vortex of Magic Power, or a real storm taking shape.

Or perhaps the two were affecting each other, creating an even more absurd Ocean catastrophe.

In the heart of the storm, the Sound of Dawn was holding position.

The surrounding seawater had already risen into ridiculous towering waves, like a wooden bucket that had the Sound of Dawn locked inside.

”Isn’t this a bit too much?” Jason lowered his body slightly, bracing himself firmly on the Sound of Dawn’s deck, and couldn’t help but shout.

The thunder and the storm severely restricted how sound could travel around them.

And because of the ridiculous curtain of water, They couldn’t even see what was happening outside.

A rhombus Gemstone the size of a head was floating above the Sound of Dawn.

It was the source of the storm, absorbing Magic Power on an absurd scale. The entire storm and the surrounding natural disaster were all caused by it.

If it weren’t a Treasure, it would be hard to imagine any material capable of withstanding that kind of Magic Power influx and conversion.

Beneath the rhombus Gemstone, it projected a circular pillar of light with a diameter of about two meters.

It wasn’t really emitting light; it was Magic Power so pure that it had gathered together and formed a barrier against the outside.

Inside the light pillar, the Magic Power seemed to have completely turned liquid, like a vat of water. Within that pillar, Alka sat cross-legged, madly drawing in the Magic Power condensed into liquid and forcing it to surge rapidly into his body.

The most outrageous part was that even this liquid Magic Power still seemed a little lacking. It was only barely keeping balance with Alka’s absorption, making the liquid Magic Power in the pillar maintain at roughly half-full.

Faced with Jason’s shouting, everyone was a bit stunned.

They really hadn’t expected that merely advancing from Tier Six to Tier Seven on the open sea would create such an exaggerated spectacle.

It had already become a full-blown natural Ocean disaster.

Fortunately, They were aboard the Sound of Dawn, a powerful living entity that could no longer be called just a ship.

Otherwise this vessel would’ve been flipped and torn to pieces; even the Ghost Ship wouldn’t be spared before waves this outrageous.

The Sound of Dawn looked as though it was calmly resting on the surface, but if one looked down they would notice—

The ship’s keel had grown countless slender roots that spread deep into the sea.

And thanks to a peculiar power, those roots weren’t merely drifting within the seawater. They were directly rooting themselves into the surrounding water Elements, and into the space around them.

It was precisely this firm rooting ability that allowed it to remain unmoved under such a storm.

Providing everyone with a sufficiently safe platform.

Suddenly, something long and thin like an octopus tentacle shot out from the water curtain, whipping toward the people on the deck.

A gray-white electric arc lashed out through the air, in an instant turning the attacking tentacle to ash. The outrageous damage made the attacking Sea Monster slip away at once.

”Can’t you see we’re busy right now? What a brainless thing.” Watching the huge Sea Monster retreat into the water curtain, Pororo cursed irritably.

If it weren’t such a bad time, he would definitely have charged over and torn that sneaking Sea Monster into pieces, turning it into food on Their plates.

But that Sea Monster’s strike seemed to be nothing more than a signal trumpet for more Sea Monsters to attack.

All kinds of Sea Monsters at the Third Stage and Fourth Stage began swarming in from all directions.

The Magic Power being drawn here was far too exaggerated, attracting these Ocean monsters that fed on Magic Power to converge.

And since the Magic Power was being gathered onto the Sound of Dawn, it naturally became the target for these gigantic Sea Monsters.

The massive head of a bizarre Ocean creature poked out of the water curtain, its hideous face making one instinctively frown.

Its thick lips, packed with sharp fangs, opened wide and spat a glob of concentrated venom toward the ship.

The venom was captured and compressed mid-flight, then stored into a bottle.

Several thick vines snapped out, binding the monster within the water curtain, then gave a heavy twist.

The creature’s head was torn off; its huge skull, even larger than the Sound of Dawn’s figurehead, toppled down and was instantly devoured by other Sea Monsters hidden in the water curtain.

Only the reddening hue of the surrounding water curtain could be seen.

”Roar!”

Ulu Liwus suddenly took dragon form, a mighty dragon’s aura spreading out in all directions.

His full momentum unleashed, with rare berserk intent and blood-soaked hunting lust mixed in.

Pressure from the apex of the carnivore chain exploded out, stunning all the surrounding Sea Monsters in an instant. Their predatory desire was overwhelmed by the instinct to survive.

They fled in all directions, and the water curtain around them finally quieted down.

”Those annoying things finally left.”

The reason everyone was so irritable was because They were using Their respective powers to stabilize the surrounding storm, keeping it from spreading further.

And They were also controlling these storms and forces of nature around them, preventing them from further interfering with Alka’s advancement.
