Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

It was quite evident what the situation currently was.

Matilda seemed to have figured out something, but the opposite side seemed utterly clueless.

It appeared the knowledge each side possessed was quite different.

In the end, Matilda did not eliminate these Naga but rather sealed their movements, and along with their mouths.

And thus, let them be thrown beside the deck.

Matilda took a deep breath and looked at everyone saying.

”Once, our race committed a grave mistake by releasing a sea beast we were meant to guard. And the reason for its imprisonment was due to it being an offspring of the Sea God.”

Upon hearing this, everyone raised their eyebrows, their expressions showing some surprise and curiosity.

To this day, there exists an offspring of the Divine on earth, and they were completely unaware.

”That offspring of the Sea God was imprisoned because it was invaded by the Abyss and betrayed the world.

This was knowledge I once held, and it seems it played a part in the world’s destruction.”

Matilda added based on her understanding.

After all, having voyaged through the Endless Sea for so long, they had uncovered many of the world’s hidden secrets.

”According to the Elder, many years ago, this offspring of the Sea God used its powers to influence a large group of those who guarded it.

Eventually, these guards betrayed and fled, ending up in the Endless Sea.

Therefore, we who were not corrupted or traitorous were punished as well. To eliminate our mistake, we need to capture or even kill this offspring of God who escaped due to our error.”

”It’s strange, if they wanted to eliminate it, why didn’t the Sea God do it themselves?” Jason asked curiously.

”It’s not difficult to understand; asking the Sea God to eliminate its child, surely they cannot bring themselves to do it. Otherwise, why just imprison it? If they could do it, they would have done it long ago.

And Matilda’s race happened to commit such an error, so the task was handed over to them. It certainly looks better than acting directly.” Lucilia interjected.

She studied history extensively, so for her, the Divine holds no idealized view.

Many records within the Great Library, when viewed now, are simply eye-opening. Reading them closely can completely remove any idealized views of the Divine. They are just like mortals, often lacking the virtues mortals possess.

These Divine beings are born strong, their morality and emotions somewhat different from ordinary people.

Compared to these Divine beings, the Four Gods already serve as moral exemplars among them.

So-called Divine beings, like humans, have their wants and needs, but they possess greater strength and higher dimensions compared to ordinary mortals.

Yet, they are still emotional.

One can understand the feeling of a child committing a wrong and needing death as a warning. But unable to deliver the blow, seeking others to handle it.

These are things one can understand.

And Matilda’s race, their ancestors committed the mistake, which coincidentally aligns with this situation.

”So... this time we are confronting an offspring of God?” Alka couldn’t help but say.

Upon hearing this, everyone pondered this question, falling into contemplation.

”Now the question is, how powerful is this offspring of God?”

Matilda controlled the vines to release a Naga pirate from their bonds and dragged it forward.

Alka looked at her and said, ”Though hidden deep, if you search carefully, you can clearly sense the Abyss’ aura flowing within the blood.”

This was different from a surface layer of Abyss’ aura covering those in the World Scar; it had merged into the body, signifying a descent into the Abyss.

And looking at the Naga, she probably doesn’t even know herself.

Facing Alka and them, the Naga continued to curse them relentlessly.

Clearly, with no intention to answer their questions, continuing the tirade, even switching languages fearing Alka wouldn’t understand.

Lucilia sitting on Alka’s shoulder, extended her hand, grasping towards the void.

The pirate cursing them was suddenly stunned in place, then his body fell to the ground, his complexion turning pale, as if dead.

His soul, however, was directly extracted by Lucilia.

After all, this pirate’s strength was only Third Stage, facing those at Sixth Stage, he stood no chance.

The extracted soul under Lucilia’s control resembled a puppet, incapable of resistance, lacking even the qualification to tread the path of reincarnation.

This was evident from the lifeless eyes of the soul.

”Now we can start the questioning.”

Matilda nodded and asked, ”Are you aware of the sins committed by your ancestors?”

”Sins? Ancestors? We are the naturally powerful offspring of the Black Sea.” Clearly, they knew nothing.

”Do you worship a strong presence?” Matilda pondered and asked a more ambiguous question.

Facing this question, the soul gave a definite answer.
