Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

After all, under normal circumstances, the disturbance of elements indicates that there is a situation around, either the enemy is launching an attack, or there is something hidden around.

It involuntarily puts people into a cautious state.

Alka looked at the residents around him.

You could see these residents rarely exposed their skin; most people would wear masks, covering the part below their eyes, and they would also wear knit hats.

Long pants and sleeves, they even wear gloves.

Combined with the colder environment, the people here basically wrap themselves up tightly.

This indeed helps to block some elemental disturbances, especially for ordinary people.

After all, exposing skin directly to the air results in a more noticeable irritation from elemental disturbances.

As they walked, such irritation made Alka very uncomfortable, instinctively putting him on alert.

He twirled his fingers slightly.

Soon the elemental disturbances around them fell silent.

”Much better now,” Lucilia extended her hand, waved it in the air, and said feelingly.

Alka continued forward and quickly entered the town.

Even in town, the air was somewhat uncomfortable, prompting Alka to look up at the sky.

Dark clouds were covering the sky, with lightning flickering from time to time.

The Thunder Element in the air was more active than other elements, which caused a certain itch in the breath.

Making the nasal cavity and throat very uncomfortable.

”This place... really leaves one speechless,” Alka couldn’t help but complain.

”What’s the matter?” Lucilia asked with some confusion.

Alka looked at her, suddenly thought of something, and patted his forehead, ”Oh right, take a breath.”

Due to Alka and their previous structure, Lucilia had become a divine being, though she had flesh and blood, her body’s structure didn’t necessarily require normal breathing.

Hearing Alka’s words, Lucilia nodded and took a deep breath.

Then she immediately understood Alka’s feeling.

She couldn’t help but extend her hand and scratched her throat.

The further in they walked, Alka noticed some people were actually wearing breathing masks.

Somewhat similar to thick masks, they covered the nose and mouth.

The structure was very simple, and Alka could see through it at a glance.

An extremely simple metal structure combined with a certain elemental conductive structure.

It expelled the overly active Thunder Element through adjacent metal attachments during breathing.

This allowed the itching sensation in the breath to disappear.

And those wearing such breathing masks could be judged by their clothing to have a certain amount of assets.

As soon as Alka entered, he saw the location of the Church from afar.

A slender spire about a dozen meters high stood out conspicuously among the surrounding steel buildings, not to mention the gear symbol atop the tower.

That should be his destination.

”There’s a lot of Elemental Materials here,” Lucilia, sitting on Alka’s shoulder, observed the surrounding shops.

Due to the location being at the city’s street entrance, it was essentially the path from the port into the city.

Places like this mostly sold the city’s special products on both sides.

A large number of Elemental Materials.

Alka came to a stall and picked up the crystals from it to have a look.

Their placement was haphazardly piled in a box, each crystal roughly the size of a thumbnail.

By the different colors, you could distinguish that these were concentrated with a certain single property of Elemental Energy.

They are useful, yet in most cases not very useful.

They could be used as mediums for energy.

Seeing how Alka kept flipping the crystal over and over, the stall owner opened his mouth to scold but silently closed it.

A simple observation could tell that Alka was not to be trifled with, especially with that little person sitting on his shoulder.

A very special Combination, indicating that such a small businessman could not afford to provoke them, he silently suppressed his irritable temper.

The stall owner replaced it with a business smile and asked, ”Does the guest want to buy these Elemental Batteries?”

”Elemental Batteries? Pretty fitting.”

”Where do these batteries come from? Are there any with greater and balanced energy?”

”The guest should be here for the first time. These Elemental Batteries are considered one of our specialties. They are constructed from some excess energy overflow collected from the Central Elemental Pool.

Of course, there are bigger and more substantial ones, but those you can only buy at larger stores and more professional places.”

The stall owner replied with a smile.

Hearing this question, Alka nodded, casually took a few. After inquiring about the price, he took out a few Silver Snakes and left.

Equivalent to a fee for information.

Walking through the streets towards the interior, he could judge where the Church’s location was, which seemed to be in a more central part of the city.

And by observing the streets, Alka could basically make out some issues.

The Church and some tall and magnificent buildings’ region counted as a rather valuable area.

While the area close to the port was a commercial district and where ordinary residents lived, not quite reaching the standard of a slum, though.

Further along was the rich district.

”Did you feel it? These areas’ streets actually have something that can suppress elemental activity.

Each of these shops contains something within that reduces the overall elemental activity in this area, making it so living here doesn’t feel unbearably uncomfortable.”

Alka observed and engaged in a casual chat with Lucilia based on what he had observed.

Soon the two of them arrived at the Church’s area.

The Church here surprisingly consisted of two towers, one tall and one short.

The parallel towers were built together, with a protruding room structure at the bottom.

It looked odd and somewhat simple, incongruous with the surrounding magnificent buildings.
