Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

The scarlet grime burned with crimson flames clinging to the tattered deck.

Emerging from that gaping portal, like a yawning mouth, was their old acquaintance.

The devourer donned a gentleman’s attire, appearing courteous.

Another projected avatar, Alka could discern it at a glance.

As he spoke, he slightly bent and saluted Alka and the others, saying politely.

”Long time no see, everyone.”

”I knew it was you, I just knew. I thought you had given up,” Alka said lightly, looking at the demon in front of him.

During the interrogation just now, those cultists didn’t answer his questions and instead self-immolated to become part of the ritual. He vaguely felt that this ship was likely guided by the devourer towards them.

The eyes saw even more.

The devourer tidied up his clothes, looking at everyone, looking at Alka.

”So, you’ve advanced to the Seventh Stage. No wonder you left the World Scar. I was so worried when I found you weren’t there.

I was really afraid you died somewhere else, not by my hand. Seeing you alive and well, I finally breathed a sigh of relief.”

Listening to the devourer, Alka frowned in disgust and said directly, ”Alright, stop the nonsense. Speak now, or you’ll have no chance.”

”Hahahahaha,” the devourer laughed loudly.

”Why did you leave the World Scar? Why not wait there a little longer to watch your world descend step by step into the Abyss?”

”Or perhaps...” the devourer suddenly looked at Alka, smiling as he continued, ”are you looking for a way to thwart our plan?”

”Don’t struggle, silently await your death.”

With that, the devourer once again opened his arms and said, ”Go, go tell your Divine. In a year, we will begin dragging this world into the Abyss. Gather all your forces to resist.”

After speaking, the devourer revealed a wanton smile, his sustaining power began to dissipate.

The entire body faintly blurred, as this was merely a false body brought here through a ritual.

And the ritual guiding him here began to disintegrate.

The whole ship truly started to be engulfed in flames and began to burn.

Seeing this, Jason and the others drifted down from the clouds to the deck of the Sound of Dawn.

Looking at the burning ship, gradually sinking into the sea.

Alka raised his hand, and a ball of Magic Power extinguished a cluster of soul energy above the water.

”Truly a sneaky thing.”

However, the expressions on everyone’s faces were not good at this moment.

Even though they were aware of the imminent demon onslaught, being taunted face-to-face by a demon at such a time still made them uneasy.

Especially given the high difficulty of resistance, they were likely to pay a great price.

”Do you believe what he said?” Chadite asked Alka.

Alka nodded: ”Whether it’s in half a year or now that he’s starting the grand onslaught, those details don’t matter.

Because we can’t prevent it, can we? And we’re already preparing for the resistance.”

Hearing Alka’s words, everyone couldn’t help but nod. Indeed, that was the reality.

No matter the circumstances, it has come to this.

They could now only focus on the journey to find the 12 Towers of Trial; they had no better options.

”Sound of Dawn, accelerate ahead.”

With that, the Sound of Dawn immediately darted across the sea like an arrow, racing towards the distance.

Alka looked at the artifacts left in the ashes of the two cultists who had just self-immolated.

It was typical of cultists; even the artifacts they used were of inferior quality.

Alka threw them directly into the Tower of Melting, allowing the fog-like creature that controlled the tower to refine them into Divine Essence.

They continued their voyage swiftly.

During the prolonged journey, they encountered a drifting island.

It had been a long time since they landed on an island.

Thus, they slowly anchored the Sound of Dawn by the side of the small island.

Mainly because the island wasn’t large, easily visible from one side to the other, but it had abundant green vegetation.

They decided to rest here for half a day.

Collect a batch of fresh food from the island and let the Sound of Dawn take root briefly.

Under the night sky’s starry curtain.

Alka and the others sat by the island where they had set up a small campfire.

”Why does the Endless Sea have to be so vast?” Jason couldn’t help but say, poking at the campfire with a small stick.

The collection of the 12 Towers of Trial had almost all their time spent on the journey.

If the Endless Sea were smaller, perhaps they could reach their goal sooner.

Everyone nearby just smiled wryly, unable to say anything.

What else could they do?

”Alright, pack up, let’s continue.”

Alka said as he stood up.

Everyone swiftly extinguished the campfire and returned to the Sound of Dawn.

The Sound of Dawn’s roots quickly retracted, leaving rows of tree pits on the edge of the island.

”How far is it to our next destination?” Simon asked.

Alka turned to look at Chadite.

Chadite thought for a moment and said, ”By our calculations, it will take at least another two months to reach it.”
