Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 397: Chapter 215: Sun Arm Guard_3

He had also learned more techniques for building constructs. The only issue was that Simon didn’t appear to have much insight, or even talent, in the methods of an Engraver.

「A few days later.」

Chadite, who was standing at the bow of the ship and using some instruments for calculations, suddenly felt a light touch on her shoulder. She waved her hand backward, and a rope of light, coalesced from a beam, shot out, binding an object and dragging it back.

”AAH! Let go of me!” Er, bound, struggled in the air, shouting.

”Planning to cause trouble again?” Chadite asked without even looking up.

”Absolutely not! I was just... just thinking of going to train a bit. Yes, just train a bit!” Er waved his fist, thought for a moment, and argued.

Chadite still didn’t look up, continuing her calculations. She had long since internally labeled Er as a reflection of her younger self. She knew all too well what a handful she had been as a child, so she clearly understood what Er was up to every day.

After a while, she said, ”Really? I’ll be done in a moment. We can go together, and I’ll personally train you.”

”Ah?”

”Hmm?!”

”...Alright.” In the end, Er dejectedly agreed and sat on Chadite’s shoulder.

Nearby, Julia observed their interaction, covering her mouth to stifle a soft laugh. Seemingly inspired, she began to hum lightly. Constantly changing the pitch of her hum, she started adding some suitable lyrics. Hearing the sound, Er, who had been dejected, soon found his attention diverted. He swung his legs, watching Julia.

After a short while, Chadite finished her task and looked up. Just then, Julia finished her humming and asked, ”Have you calculated it?”

Chadite nodded. ”We have about two more days of sailing to reach the final sea area.”

”Then there’s not much time left,” Julia remarked.

”Yes, we need to start preparing,” Chadite affirmed.

Footsteps sounded from behind. They turned to see Alka approaching, carrying some items. Seeing Alka approach, Er smiled and got up, preparing to jump over to him. However, while he was mid-air, Chadite grabbed him by the collar of his clothes and pulled him back.

Alka smiled and handed the items to Chadite. ”Give these a try,” he said. ”The finished product has some more suitable modifications compared to the previous blueprint. See if they fit and if any parts need further changes.”

He held two Arm Guards with fingerless gloves and two Leg Guards. The front plates of the Arm Guards and Leg Guards were silver, each with a two-centimeter-wide transparent crystal strip down the middle. Additionally, the patterns on the armor surface were shaped like a sun radiating light outward. The fingerless gloves also had a row of crystals, though these crystals were encased in something transparent.

Chadite equipped the items. The Arm Guards automatically clasped onto her arms without needing straps.

Alka explained from the side, ”The Arm Guards and Leg Guards are extremely sturdy and flexible. They also have good Magic Power Conduction properties, with Spells inscribed to accelerate attack speed and impact force. See the crystal strips on the sides? They have special internal structures capable of storing sunlight. Even in places without sunlight, you can control the stored sunlight for your operations.”

This feature was crafted specifically for Chadite’s Ring of Light. If this technology proved highly effective, specialized Crystal Stones for storing various types of light would be produced for Chadite’s use.

Looking at the Arm Guards on her arms and the Leg Guards on her legs, Chadite’s smile widened. She threw a couple of light punches and said, ”These are very nice. I really like them. Does the equipment have a name?”

”Yes, it’s called Sun Armor.”

”A nice name.”

”Well then, aren’t you going to try it out? See how it feels.”

”Mm.” Chadite nodded, then, still holding Er, walked towards the deck.

Alka also found Juanlu and gave him the newly reinforced Bat. ”This reinforced Bat has three modes for the ball,” Alka explained. ”You can change them according to the situation. The heavy ball mode increases the ball’s weight, making its impact stronger, like a giant hammer striking. The Enchantment mode increases Magic Power Conduction, allowing you to imbue it with different Spells for various effects. The technique mode reduces weight, making it fly faster. It allows for ricochet and curveball techniques. How you use this mode depends on your skill, but it’s somewhat difficult to control, so you’d better practice more.” He then tapped the Bat in Juanlu’s hand, saying, ”This Bat is inscribed with the Strong Strike Spell, and its material is exceptionally sturdy.”

After hearing Alka’s explanation, a satisfied smile spread across Juanlu’s face as he looked at his brand-new Bat. Holding the Bat with both hands, he couldn’t resist swinging it left and right.

”Looks like I need to work on my strength; otherwise, I won’t be able to bring out its full potential,” Juanlu said.

Hearing this, Alka couldn’t help but laugh and teased, ”For you, isn’t enhancing your strength a fairly easy task?”

”HAHA, it’s not that exaggerated, but I will need to eat a bit more lately,” Juanlu said with a smile.

Due to his family’s unique constitution, Juanlu could enhance his physique at a rate far surpassing an average person. The physical enhancement he gained from Magic Power elevation was more significant than for others. Moreover, his ability to quickly consume food helped him rapidly recover lost stamina. More than half of his Pocket Ring was stocked with various ready-to-eat, high-calorie foods. This allowed him to recover more easily during regular training, thereby improving the effectiveness of his exercises.
