Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 354: Chapter 201: Stranger’s Dream Bubbles_2

Greater strength meant greater soul intensity.

The bubble’s transparency depended on wisdom in the Real World, a point Alka couldn’t guarantee.

Human Dream Bubbles were mostly opaque, like frosted glass, making it difficult to see inside. Animal Dream Bubbles, in contrast, were completely transparent, allowing a clear view of their interiors from even a short distance.

Alka hadn’t encountered creatures of intermediate intelligence, so he didn’t know how their bubbles manifested.

He simply surmised it might be related to intelligence.

The bubble’s luster fully reflected the individual’s mental state in the Real World.

For instance, after Alka’s dream-body stand-in died twice, its Dream Bubble was not only riddled with cracks but also very dim in luster.

This was because Alka’s mental state hadn’t been good at the time.

Thus, from his own experience, he knew that cracks in a Dream Bubble were strongly correlated with soul damage.

Judging from this bubble’s current state, its owner was likely a creature of not very high intelligence, though definitely possessing more than a mere beast.

This Dream Bubble wasn’t very transparent, yet not as opaque as a typical human’s, where the contents are almost impossible to discern.

One could see into it, but only very blurrily.

The dim luster indicated its master’s mental state in the Real World was poor.

A few cracks on its surface further indicated that even the soul had suffered damage.

However, for such a creature, this size might imply significant strength.

This was because size also, to some extent, reflected the creature’s intelligence and soul strength.

Therefore, a proper determination required considering all factors.

Its intelligence was lower than that of Intelligent Life, yet its bubble was larger than Julia’s.

A conservative estimate placed its strength as similar to the Silver Threads Sea Beast, but it was definitely much smarter than an ordinary Sea Beast.

Regardless, entering it for a look would provide answers.

With this in mind, Akka carefully approached the bubble from above, preparing to observe from the sky—the angle least likely to invite detection.

Although, based on Alka’s current experiences, being seen in a dream wouldn’t be problematic.

He gently poked his head inside.

It was indeed a terrestrial creature, judging by the surrounding environment, likely on an island.

Since the bubble was large, Alka began searching for traces of its master within.

Then, a building appeared in the Dream Realm.

A building?

Although it wasn’t unusual for buildings to appear in an animal’s dream, this was the Forward Channel; native creatures’ dreams were unlikely to contain such structures.

This suggested the island the creature inhabited might have buildings, or perhaps it had once lived in a human settlement.

The building seemed like a warehouse.

A scan of the surroundings revealed no other creatures.

Inside the warehouse?

Alka quietly descended and peered into the warehouse through a glass window.

...

It’s a person?

The warehouse was unexpectedly bright. A muscular man with disheveled hair sat at a table, frantically devouring food.

The table was enormous, occupying almost half the warehouse. Positioned in the center, it was laden with a vast assortment of delicacies.

From fruits, cakes, and desserts to grilled meats, every variety imaginable was present.

Dreaming of binge-eating?

Could he be this hungry?

Alka promptly reined his thoughts in.

No, what he should be pondering now is, why is it a human’s dream?

He had been very sure earlier: around this Dream Bubble, there were no others.

Since it was late at night, the person being on a ship seemed unlikely. However, Alka knew he shouldn’t make such assumptions too hastily.

Alka planned to linger around this Dream Bubble for a while longer.

One person couldn’t possibly control a ship alone, not even the most advanced Spell Ship.

Especially not on the Forward Channel.

Based on current information, this person was likely on an island.

To ensure he hadn’t misjudged, Alka walked directly inside. He needed to confirm it was a human and not something like a merman.

Alka walked closer and sat beside the male figure.

The dreaming man didn’t even lift his head, continuously stuffing food into his mouth. He chewed briefly before swallowing, as if he hadn’t eaten in ages.

What kind of mental state would lead to such a dream?

Alka couldn’t help but muse.

He then confirmed that this was indeed a man, bare-chested and wearing only shorts.

He had several scars on his body. His face was somewhat square, giving him an honest air.

The type who didn’t seem like a bad person at first glance.

Alka began to observe the surroundings, attempting to glean more information from the dream environment.

Piled around the warehouse were various unfamiliar tool stations and an assortment of materials.

Decorative tapestries and small flags adorned the walls.

The insignia on them... The Holy Machine Church?

The insignia depicted a gear with an eye-pupil at its center.

This was the emblem of the Holy Machine Church.
