Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 369: Chapter 206: Wake Up Stranger_2

He could basically confirm that it was this person in front of him who had awakened him.

Even if it wasn’t this man, it was related to him.

Alka turned his head to look at him, then quietly asked, ”Do you know where you are in reality?”

The man looked at him.

After a moment of silence, he spoke, ”On the Forward Route, probably on an island outside the Isolation Gate of the Ocean of Enlightenment.”

Hearing this, Alka nodded.

Then he said, ”I’m also on the Forward Route. On such a route, encountering a human’s Dream Realm is very rare, so I came in out of curiosity to take a look.”

After Alka finished speaking, he saw that the man in front of him had already begun to slightly raise his hands.

Did he notice? His hands have returned.

Being able to control them, even slightly, so quickly suggests he didn’t lose them long ago. It definitely wasn’t a congenital issue.

”You are also on the Forward Route, huh,” he muttered to himself.

Then he furrowed his brows deeply, seeming to be pondering something.

Alka was not in a hurry and waited quietly.

”You awakened me, surely wanting to know something from me. Feel free to ask if it’s within my knowledge. However, if possible, I hope you can come to where I am and rescue me.”

He looked at Alka and said sincerely.

Hearing this, a slight smile appeared on Alka’s face, but it was obscured by the shattered Mirror Surface effect.

This person is smart. Understanding the situation so quickly suggests his circumstances outside are truly dire.

I am likely his last straw.

”Very well. If feasible, when I pass by your location, I will come to assist you, provided you’re telling the truth.”

”Of course, that’s only natural.”

Alka nodded, then turned his body to face him.

”Are you aware of your current situation? In reality?”

The man nodded and said, ”I am aware. Although I don’t know the exact time, I’ve probably been out here for many years now. I’m trapped on an island, unable to move in reality. I don’t even know the current situation of my location. Due to special circumstances, I’ve been confined, fixed in the state I was in at that time.”

Then his expression showed a hint of desolation. ”The fact that I haven’t died yet, can still dream, and can feel hunger indicates my team has met with misfortune. However, the fact that I’m still alive suggests the enemy’s situation might not be good either.”

So, the two ships remaining on the island belong to opposing sides?

Alka nodded to signal his understanding and motioned for him to continue speaking.

”At that time, our team and our enemies engaged in a fierce conflict. During the fighting, I was severely wounded and received temporary treatment—a kind of stasis. This state immobilizes a person. Though incredibly hard to endure, it’s very effective at preserving one’s life, ensuring survival until treatment can be received. Our ship and the enemy’s ship were transported into the sky by some powerful Spell effect and then began to fall. That’s when I lost consciousness.”

At this point, before Alka could ask, the man summarized his current predicament.

”But now, since I’m neither dead nor released from this state, it’s highly likely that both sides suffered devastating losses, or perhaps everyone perished.”

That’s a very reasonable deduction, unless his team deliberately left him in this state. In the man’s view, such a possibility was almost nonexistent.

Alka nodded to indicate his understanding.

In other words, he’s currently in a state where he can feel the passage of time and experience hunger. Yet, due to some ability his teammates possessed, his condition is fixed, his movements immobilized. It’s like a soul trapped within a physical shell. The fact that his mind hasn’t broken down already demonstrates his strong willpower—assuming he’s telling the truth, of course. However, his words did indeed match what they had seen on the island during the day. Those two ships really did look as if they had fallen from the sky, considering their shattered condition and the impact on the surrounding environment.

”What is the name of your team? And who are your enemies?” Alka asked after a while.

The man before him didn’t hide anything and slowly replied, ”The team I belong to is part of the Holy Machine Church—an excavation team under its banner called Cross Hand. As for our enemies, they are a team led by a Saint from the renegade Cult of Flesh Ascension.”

Renegades... It seems the scarlet Evil Spirit I encountered last time was also a renegade from the Holy Machine Church and had similarly formed its own Sect.

Are renegades a hallmark of the Holy Machine Church?

Alka couldn’t help but wonder, mainly because both times he’d encountered information related to the Holy Machine Church, renegades were involved.

Regardless, if this information was true, the Treasure Information would surely expand.

”Do your team’s leader and this renegade possess any Treasure?”

The man nodded without hesitation.

”They both do. The Treasure our team’s leader possesses is called the Ring of Light; many people know of it. As for its specific function, forgive my presumption, but I cannot tell you.”
