Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

In an instant, the world was divided into two battlefields.

One was Lothric under the shining pitch black sun, and the other was the city of R’lyeh rising from the ocean depths, accompanied by the roar of crashing sea water and storm. In the boundless heavy rain, accompanied by Cthulhu’s angry roars, enormous creatures—each resembling a fusion between octopus and human—surfaced from the ocean and marched toward Lothric Royal City.

Is that Dagon?

Seeing the giant creature in front of him, equally as towering as a skyscraper, Fang Zheng flapped his wings slightly. He knew Dagon was considered the highest-ranked Deep Diver, essentially their leader, but other than its enormous size, these creatures had not yet shown any sufficiently powerful force that would make him feel pressured.

However......

It’s better to probe them first.

In terms of pure visual terror, this Cthulhu Legion was indeed terrifying. The turbulent sea crashed heavily against the ground outside of Lothric, with tens of thousands of Deep Divers emerging from the waves, followed closely by gigantic Deep Divers. And far in the distance was the dreadfully formidable silhouette of Cthulhu itself......

Yes, now it made sense: given the technological capabilities of this era, it was indeed enough to destroy the world.

After all, in the 1930s, there were no satellites, no missiles, no third or fourth-generation tactical planning. Even though tanks and airplanes existed, facing Cthulhu and its enchanted clan was indeed...... a losing battle.

So, what about against advanced future weaponry?

With this thought, Fang Zheng spread his wings again. As he moved, spatial ripples began manifesting behind the dragon, revealing hundreds of golden-hued spatial rifts. Missiles emerged, showing their formidable array.

I never imagined I would use the ”Royal Wealth” like this.

With this thought, Fang Zheng sighed deeply in his heart.

As a dragon, Fang Zheng was never adept at melee combat. Being a human-turned-dragon, he naturally couldn’t compare to true-born dragons in this area. Thus, since becoming a dragon, his attack methods primarily relied on magic and primordial fire; the transformation allowed for a higher cap of magic power, effectively giving every spell a ”Power +100%” buff, which Fang Zheng considered far more formidable than simply charging in for close-quarters combat.

However, in this world, due to information discrepancies, most of Fang Zheng’s magic attack methods were basically useless, so apart from primordial fire, he could only use human weapons.

Fortunately, in case of emergencies, he always carried with him an arsenal equivalent to an army group, alleviating this concern.

And the reason he didn’t use the divine artifacts from the ”Royal Wealth” was simply the fear that if these divine artifacts got tainted by some Cthulhu-related abominations, they might mutate... Comparatively, it was much more convenient just to release missiles and rockets, requiring no further attention.

So......

With this thought, Fang Zheng took a deep breath.

”Trick or treat! (No candy, then missiles)”

With a roar, countless missiles were launched, bombarding the R’lyeh in front.

This was a clash between completely different civilizations.

If it was the army of this era, even just witnessing Cthulhu’s presence would cause more than half of them to collapse in terror. Tanks, artillery, and aircrafts wouldn’t stand a chance against such fearsome creatures in terms of both quantity and strength. Ultimately, humans operated the weapons, whether tank operators or pilots; continually facing these incomprehensible creatures would cause them to mentally break down quickly, leading to certain doom.

But missiles were different. They could keep the enemy miles away, and missiles had no thoughts, no spirit, no care for whom or what they faced. They’re just tools, like bullets or shells; once launched... the rest they didn’t need to worry about!

”Boom boom boom boom boom!!”

The violent sound of explosions echoed, and balls of fire appeared in R’lyeh. The originally twisted structures were completely obliterated under the intense explosions, as if a child ruthlessly destroyed a structure on a sandbox, turning them into fragments.

Against these attacks descending from the skies, the Deep Divers and Star’s Retinue seemed to have no effective way to counter. The Deep Divers continued marching blindly, getting blown to pieces without posing any threat. The Star’s Retinue likewise showed no significant power; indeed, they were gigantic, wielding sharp claws and tentacles, but that was all. Facing the missiles, their resistance was futile; each missile explosion would shred a massive Star’s Retinue into a large, bloody mess with no chance to use their strengths.

”So...... is this all they’ve got?”

Standing atop Lothric Royal City, Fang Zheng narrowed his eyes, warily observing the battlefield before letting out a sigh. One would think that an alien race capable of traveling through space during ancient times to conquer and dominate land on Earth would be formidable. But now it seems they aren’t even on par with the Swarm.

No, few can even compare to the Swarm.

Or perhaps Cthulhu is among the weaker of these alien species?

Regardless......

Let’s finish this battle first, then consider what comes next.

With this thought, the pitch black dragon flapped its wings once more, soaring into the sky and aiming for the bizarre figure in the distance. As Fang Zheng approached, that enormous silhouette gradually became clearer.

”I surely don’t want to take a bite of that.”

Just looking at Cthulhu’s bloated physique made Fang Zheng feel nauseous. He never liked seafood; Fang Zheng’s previous life’s hometown was in a landlocked inland, far from the coast, so he always turned away from seafood. Even when he later moved to coastal cities, he still wasn’t fond of marine food.

In that case......

”Hey, buddy, try a puff of the Tsar Bomba, this kick is strong!”

The gigantic black dragon circled in the sky, then suddenly flapped its wings. A halo of the ”Royal Wealth” appeared below it, followed by a massive bomb descending upon Cthulhu. Seeing this, Cthulhu let out a soul-shaking roar, with several tentacles lashing out to strike the falling iron mass heavily.

”———————”

It was a radiance akin to the eruption of the sun.

A bomb equivalent to nearly 200 million tons of TNT exploded the moment it touched Cthulhu’s tentacle. In an instant, the dazzling white light tore apart the clouds and the sea, engulfing everything within.

Nothing was spared.

R’lyeh began to crumble immediately. Its foundations collapsed, and the buildings constructed of sturdy stones vanished in a blink. And Cthulhu’s Star’s Retinue and Deep Divers vanished in the pure dazzling radiance, much like snow melting under the sun.

Once everything was over, the world before them had completely changed. The land, the ocean, everything was destroyed, leaving only a mass of charred, writhing flesh rolling continuously on the ground.

”Tsk, tsk, tsk.”

At the same time, the giant black dragon flapped its wings, slowly approaching the mass of flesh, shaking its head as it watched the scene.

”I really didn’t expect the famed Cthulhu couldn’t even withstand a single Tsar Bomba... After all, you hadn’t seen such a thing when you came to Earth back then...”

”———————!!”

Before the dragon could finish speaking, countless tentacles suddenly sprang from the mass of writhing flesh, lunging at it, only to be blasted into fragments amidst the thunder of cannon fire.

”Psychic system creatures are weak against physical attacks, and there’s nothing they can do about it.”

The pitch-black dragon shook its head, then fixed its gaze on the creature before it, and opened its mouth.

The black dragon took a deep breath.

”Boom—————!!!”

As the scorching pillar of fire shot into the sky, Fang Zheng had already reverted to his human form, standing once again on the ground.

”As expected of me...”

Squinting his eyes at the system before him, Fang Zheng concentrated. At this moment, the system once again asserted its presence before him.

”What on earth is this crap...”

Seeing this, Fang Zheng twitched an eyebrow, then squinted his eyes, looking forward. Soon, with a thought from Fang Zheng, dozens of tentacles, appearing semi-transparent like those of an octopus, slowly emerged from Fang Zheng’s shadow, spiraling and stretching out, then retracting...

”Is this trying to evolve me into a tentacle monster?”

Seeing this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but quip, then once again opened the Soulstone pool.

”Come, come, come, second draw, let me see what it is this time... I click!”

As Fang Zheng tapped with one hand, a dazzling golden radiance immediately radiated from his hand, seeing this, Fang Zheng’s eyes widened in excitement.

Golden legend!!

The next moment, the light dispersed.

”Clang.”

A crowbar, entirely pitch black with only the tip in bright red, fell from the sky and landed on the ground.

”..........”

Seeing this scene, the smile on Fang Zheng’s face froze.
